      CHAEL SONNEN has claimed Jake Paul is the ‘most feared man in boxing’ with fighters ‘not sure they can beat him’. That is despite the YouTuber-turned-prizefighter not yet facing an opponent with a prior professional boxing record.

      He was due to fight Tommy Fury – who is 7-0 – until the British ex-realty TV star pulled out with a broken rib and chest infection.
      Paul, 25, instead rematched ex-UFC champion Tyron Woodley, 39, scoring a brutal knockout win.
      Former middleweight boxing world champ Julio Cesar Chavez Jr, 35, has been among the names in talks to fight the American celebrity next.
      But ex-UFC title challenger Sonnen, 44, believes traditional and experienced boxers are second guessing themselves against 5-0 Paul.
      He said on his YouTube channel: “Jake Paul is the most feared man in boxing.
      “These boxers are not sure they can beat him. They are not sure they can deal with it.

      Tyson Fury PULLS OUT of Oleksandr Usyk fight despite Anthony Joshua considering £15m step aside deal, claims Eddie Hearn

      EDDIE HEARN claimed Tyson Fury has pulled out of fighting Oleksandr Usyk for the undisputed title. Usyk is currently contracted to a rematch with AJ, having beaten the British superstar in September for the WBA, IBF and WBO belts.

      But Middle Eastern backers were leading talks for the Ukrainian to instead face WBC champion Fury in a historic four-belt unification.
      For that to happen, Joshua, 32, and WBC mandatory challenger Dillian Whyte, 33, would need to receive a fee sit out, believed to be £15million and £5m.
      And Hearn admitted they were ready to listen to offers for AJ, but would also need a guarantee of fighting the winner between Fury, 33, and Usyk, 35.
      But the promoter has now claimed the Gypsy King ‘never wanted’ to fight Usyk next and will instead face No1 contender Whyte.
      Hearn told iFL TV: “The reality of the situation is; we would be willing to see a long-form agreement with a plan for AJ.
      “But we’re not even at that stage. Tyson Fury had the opportunity to discuss – Fury doesn’t want to fight Usyk, in my opinion.

      “Because he had the opportunity to do it through these discussions and really, when it came down to it, he really don’t want to.
      “What Fury wants to do is have a little easy one in March, that’s what he really wants to do.
      “Now, he’s going to have to fight Dillian Whyte, and by the way, after all of this kerfuffle, he’ll get beat by Dillian Whyte, he’ll get knocked out by Dillian Whyte.
      “But the reality is, when it really came down to it, he never wanted to fight Oleksandr Usyk.
      “Because he could’ve gone straight into a fight with Oleksandr Usyk, but he didn’t want to go straight into a fight with Oleksandr Usyk.
      “But you won’t ever hear that and the public won’t ever hear that. You’ll just hear Fury on Instagram, screaming and shouting with smoking mirrors.”

      Despite talks progressing between Fury and Usyk, at the same time the WBC have set a Friday deadline for a fight with Whyte to be agreed.
      If no deal for Fury to face either Usyk or Whyte is struck, the WBC will go to purse bids for the mandatory title defence.
      Hearn said: “I’m very confident there will be a bid tomorrow, for Fury against Whyte. And I believe that’s the fight that will happen next.”
      The promoter revealed talks are still ongoing between Fury and Usyk, and is open to a deal that would allow AJ to step aside, and fight the winner.
      But again he accused Fury of opting out of the challenging Usyk for all the belts.
      He said: “I don’t believe it’s off the table because people are still discussing it. Thats not a deal that I’ve necessarily put together.
      ‘CHANGES HIS MIND EVERYDAY’
      “We’ve been approached with a plan and from my point of view Im saying I wold be willing to see a long-form agreement to look at some kind of plan that would give AJ the opportunity to fight the winner between Fury and Usyk for the ‘best heavyweight in the world tag.
      “But the reality is that Tyson Fury’s the one that’s decided, really, that he doesn’t want to fight Usyk next.
      “Whether he tells you that or not, that’s the truth. He was not willing to fight Oleksandr Usyk for undisputed.
      “Because he wanted a fight first in March against someone else, now he wants to fight Dillian Whyte. He changes his mind everyday.”
      Hearn is now expected to bid against Fury’s promotional team of Bob Arum and Frank Warren to stage the fight with Whyte.
      Meanwhile AJ is now set to rematch Usyk, with the chance to win back the belts he lost in London.

      JAKE PAUL has teased a ‘big announcement’ following his acquisition of shares in the UFC’s parent company.The YouTuber-turned-boxer – who has been vocal on the issue of fighter pay in the UFC over the last six months – revealed this week he’d purchased Endeavor stock.

      And the former Disney star has alluded to a major announcement being made on Thursday.
      On Wednesday night, Paul wrote on his Instagram story: “Big announcement coming tomorrow. @mostvaluablepromotions.”
      A few hours later, Paul suggested the announcement would create serious waves.
      In response to a tweet from MMA journalist Ariel Helwani, Paul said: “Listen, buddy, all these emojis are cool but you’re gonna s**t your pants tomorrow.”
      It’s unclear what power, if any, Paul will have to implement change at Endeavour following his recent purchase of shares.
      But the Problem Child – along with his investment partner Geoffrey Woo – hopes to encourage impact and activist hedge fund investors to come on board and make a serious impact.

      Woodley, only beaten by the YouTuber via split-decision four months earlier, agreed to step in on less than two week’s notice.
      But it ended in disaster for the ex-UFC champion, who was brutally knocked out in round six.
      Still, former unified world champion Khan tipped 22-year-old Fury to beat Paul and withstand the American’s power.
      He told Pro Boxing Fans: “Tyron obviously got caught with a good shot, which can happen in boxing.
      “He is not really a boxer, he is an MMA fighter. You know, as MMA fighter, they don’t really punch hard.
      “It’s more about the takedowns and everything else. I think he was just caught with a good shot, really.”

      Khan, 35, added: “Well, I think Tommy would have taken that shot and given a lot more back, or maybe would have hit him with some shot.

      Ngannou most recently retained his belt against Ciryl Gane at UFC 270 on points.
      Meanwhile Fury – who called out the Cameroonian afterwards – is set to face WBC mandatory challenger Dillian Whyte, 33.
      But president of Fury’s Top Rank promotion Todd DuBoef said if the rivals continue to win, a clash of the combat sports in the fight capital of the world remains on the cards.
      DuBoef told MMA Fighting: “I think it does fantastic in Vegas.
      “And the reason why I say that is because, looking from a perspective of pay-per-view.
      “I think there would be a very, very big appetite on US pay-per-view for that fight, and what we’ve seen with Fury coming from the UK.
      “The UK audience is used to staying up late and paying for the pay-per-view.”

      AJ was to ultimately lose his own title defence to Oleksandr Usyk and now the pair are poised to rematch, so Fury’s attention has turned to Dillian Whyte as he puts his belt on the line once again.
      Whyte was named by the WBC as the mandatory challenger on December 7, but the fight has run into a number of difficulties since then.

      The 6ft 9in undefeated ace wanted Whyte to accept around £5m to step aside and let him fight Usyk.
      But Whyte’s team have dug in with their man wanting the chance to take Fury’s belts – and they look to have finally got their wish.
      After FOUR delayed purse bids for the clash – the final auction is now scheduled for Mexico City on Friday, January 28 – Fury suggested the negotiations were over and Whyte had got his shot.

      “I am going to give him the best hiding he has ever had in his life.

      When is Tyson Fury vs Dillian Whyte?

      As yet, there is no confirmed date for the all-British showdown.
      But if made it is expected to be in late March/April this year.
      Fury hasn’t fought in the UK since 2018 when he faced Sefer Seferi in Manchester and then Francesco Pianeta in Belfast.

      What is the fight venue?
      The most likely venue for the event is reportedly Cardiff or Manchester, but no details are set in stone.
      If Fury returned to his roots in the North West it would be his first appearance there in three years since the win over Seferi.
      And either venue would be great news for UK fight fans, with the bout likely to take place at a friendlier time than the 5am GMT epics against Wilder.

      Which TV channel and live stream will it be on?
      Again, with no concrete details everything at the moment is just speculation about the fight.

      But the bout is almost certain to be a pay-per-view event and which platform it is shown on will depend on who promotes the fight.

      But Middle East money men are looking to front cash for an undisputed title decider between Usyk and Tyson Fury.
      It would mean Joshua, and Fury’s WBC mandatory challenger Dillian Whyte, accepting a fee to sit on the sidelines.
      Lewis is no stranger to stepping aside, having accepted £2.9million ($4m) in 1996 to allow Mike Tyson to beat Bruce Seldon.
      But as the British legend points out, he did so having won his last four fights.
      So Lewis, now 56, warned AJ against accepting the reported £15m step-aside deal to instead avenge his loss against Usyk.
      He tweeted: “And before you bring up the Tyson step aside money… just remember, I wasn’t coming off of a loss.
      “I would go get my belts back first. This also is not advice or a knock on AJ. It’s just what I would do in that situation.”

      Joshua’s promoter Eddie Hearn yesterday confirmed they had received a step-aside offer, but no deal was agreed.
      Fury, 33, then today appeared to confirm his next fight would be against Whyte, 33, ending hopes of a unification with Usyk and the need for a step-aside deal.
      He said: “I can’t wait to punch Dillian Whyte’s face right in, mate. I am going to give him the best hiding he has ever had in his life.
      “Dillian Whyte, train hard because you are going to get annihilated, bum.”
      It would also suggest that Joshua, 32, rejected the chance to step aside and WILL instead rematch Usyk, 35.

      CLARESSA SHIELDS said Floyd Mayweather will fly over to be at her next fight in Wales. The two-weight undisputed women’s champion returns to the ring on February 5 against Ema Kozin.

      Headlining that night in Cardiff is Chris Eubank Jr, 32, in a grudge match against middleweight rival Liam Williams, 29.
      Ahead of the event, Shields, 25, held an open workout in Mayweather’s Las Vegas gym and was even given some pointers by the boxing legend.
      She told Sky Sports: “Training with Floyd Mayweather has pushed my confidence even higher.
      “He’s very fond of my skills and my power and he said he’s going to fly to the UK to watch this fight. So I’m definitely looking to put on a great show.
      “If I had to use one word for this camp, it would be: uncomfortable. I made sure that I got out of my comfort zone for this fight.
      “I’m making sure that I have all my tools and going to the Mayweather Boxing Club has really sharpened those tools.”
