      UFC legend Tyron Woodley has seen the funny side of his defeat against Jake Paul – gifting a fan £3,700 for making the best meme of him getting knocked out.The 39-year-old former champ was brutally stopped in the sixth round by the Problem Child in their rematch last weekend.

      Former welterweight champion Woodley has since been medically suspended for 60 days following his second boxing loss at the hands of his American compatriot.
      But instead of drowning his sorrows and feeling sorry for himself, Woodley has embraced his defeat, as he held a contest for his fans to create the best meme of him hitting the deck.
      He stated that the winner, who must be following him on social media, would receive a cash prize of $5,000 (£3.7k).
      And Woodley took to Instagram to state that user Chris Ashley won the competition.
      Sharing the clip the fan made, Woodley said: “Merry Christmas! Spread some love and do some good.”
      In the footage created by Ashley, Woodley can be seen falling into the shadow realm after he crashed to the canvas in the sixth round.

      Ex-UFC welterweight champion Tyron Woodley took the short-notice rematch and Paul used the pre-fight build-up to troll Fury repeatedly about his lost opportunity.
      And the younger brother of WBC heavyweight king Tyson Fury revealed he could not even go to the local shop without getting abused over cancelling the fight.
      Coughing through an interview with Unibet Lowdown, Fury said: “I have been at the lowest point I have ever been at in my entire life, I have never felt anything so low.
      “I had everything I could ever have dreamed of and then had it all ripped away through no fault of my own. It’s a bitter pill to swallow.
      “I expected all the trolling from Jake, he is a prankster and a showman but I didn’t care.

      Woodley, 39, instead filled in on late notice but was savagely sparked out with a massive right hand in round six.
      His decision to rematch Paul would have been a financially smart one, but could backfire on his reputation.

      Paul has now knocked out every opponent he has faced, YouTuber ‘AnEsonGib’, ex-NBA star Nate Robinson, 37, and retired UFC welterweight Ben Askren, 37, joining Woodley.
      Askren, a grappler with limited striking skills, was the first professional fighter the social media sensation beat.

      And O’Malley questioned whether Woodley can overcome the loss like Askren did.
      He said: “That could affect Tyron Woodley big time, or he could just be completely unattached to that and still be happy.

      Iron Mike’s iconic mentor and coach Cus D’Amato – who once trained Ali – is also born on the same day.
      And Tyson, 55, could not believe it when the YouTuber told him the news that he shares the same birthday as two of boxing’s most historic names.
      Paul, 24, said: “When I sat with Mike Tyson on his podcast, bro, he’s so smart and wise and he was sitting next to me for like 20 minutes just preaching knowledge.
      “And he goes, ‘Bro, you’re the GOAT, January 17th people are not to be messed with’.
      “When I told him my birthday, he was like, ‘Oh my god’. He like freaked out. He literally freaked out and he says, ‘I see it now. It all makes sense’.”
      Paul, who is 5-0 as a professional boxer, most recently knocked out former UFC champion Tyron Woodley, 39, who he first beat on points in August.

      Paul has now knocked out all of his opponents, with YouTuber ‘AnEsonGib’, ex-NBA star Nate Robinson, 37, and retired UFC welterweight Ben Askren, 37, all joining Woodley, 39.
      He was due to fight Tommy Fury, 22, until the Brit pulled out with a broken rib and replaced by Woodley.
      Paul has refused to commit to fighting Fury upon his return next year.

      And he reckons the pricey present will have contributed to Woodley getting knocked spark out in round six with a single sickening shot.

      And a video later emerged that showed a Team Fury training session from inside their Morecambe gym with the 33-year-old WBC king hammering a huge medicine ball into hus sibling’s stomach.
      But Tommy has insisted that the age-old boxing drill designed to strengthen abdominal muscles and build up resistance to body punches was not how he suffered the sickening injury.
      The reality TV star told the Unibet Lowdown: “I can confirm that Tyson with the medical ball was not what broke my rib. 
      “I have been having that done to me in the gym my entire life, in every single training session.

      ‘I didn’t even know about that’ – Canelo Alvarez was blindsided by move to cruiserweight and found out on social media

      CANELO ALVAREZ admitted he was blindsided by the news he would move up to cruiserweight – and only found out on social media. The Mexican became undisputed super-middleweight champion in November following four fights in just 11 months.

      Afterwards, it was announced the WBC had accepted a sensational request for Canelo to challenge for their cruiserweight title.
      But the man himself revealed it was his trainer and manager Eddy Reynoso who came up with the plan, without even consulting Alvarez.
      Canelo told World Boxing News: “I didn’t even know about that. I heard about it on social media what Eddy did.”
      He continued: “Like I always say, if Eddy says something or he tries to do something crazy, I’m always in. I’m his warrior.
      “He called me after, and I said, ‘OK, whatever you want. I never thought (about cruiserweight).
      “Eddy always is thinking about things, but I never thought about it.”

      Canelo, 31, has won belts from light-middleweight all the way to light-heavyweight.
      His heaviest career victory was for the WBO 175lb title which he won after knocking out Sergey Kovalev, 39, in November 2019.
      But Canelo soon moved back down to super-middleweight, where he has since settled.
      The leap up to cruiserweight would be two divisions higher and see Canelo try and conquer a FIFTH weight class.
      He would need to gain over TWO STONE, to 14st 4lb from the 12st he weighed at super-middleweight.
      Ilunga Makabu, 34, is the current WBC champion and defends his belt against Thabiso Mchunu, 33, in January.

      Canelo will await the result in America before making his decision on a leap to cruiserweight.
      He said: “It’s not done yet. We want to see, we want to try to do it, but it’s not done yet.
      “So we will see in January what is coming for us. Sounds good, but as I say, nothing is done yet.
      “So we will see what is the best for us. But it sounds good to me to be a champion in five different weights.
      “I don’t know yet, and I really don’t know. I haven’t sat down with Eddy yet to talk about it, but something good is coming.
      “I’m always looking for the best, looking for history. So, we’ll see what is coming, but I’m sure it’s the best fight’s out there.”

      JAKE PAUL revealed he would only consider an MMA switch if he fought Canelo Alvarez and had an undefeated 12-0 boxing record. Paul is now 5-0 as a professional boxer, with knockout wins over former UFC pair Ben Askren and Tyron Woodley.

      He was urged by UFC welterweight Jorge Masvidal to cross over to the octagon so they can fight.
      But Paul admitted only after certain goals are achieved would he even contemplate the switch of codes.
      Asked if he would ever fight in the UFC octagon, he responded: “After I’m like 10-0, maybe 12-0. After I fight probably Canelo.”
      In Paul’s first three fights, he beat YouTuber ‘AnEsonGib’, ex-NBA player Nate Robinson, 37, and retired UFC welterweight Ben Askren, also 37.
      But he then followed it up with an eight-round points win over Woodley, 39, in August.
      Paul was set to fight Tommy Fury, 22, afterwards, until the British former reality TV star pulled out with a broken rib and chest infection.

      Woodley then signed as a late replacement but was knocked out in the rematch, with Masvidal, 37, in attendance and later called out.
      Paul flat out refused Masvidal’s offer to sign a deal with the UFC and claimed he earned more than anyone in the MMA stable, including Conor McGregor.
      The social media sensation made it clear he is his own boss, unlike those contracted to the UFC, and makes more money than the lot of them.
      On his brother Logan’s podcast, Paul added: “It’s not to demean every UFC fighter, because obviously you want to be a part of a big platform, of course.
