      JAKE PAUL has been labelled a ‘joke’ by boxing pundit Stephen A. Smith after calling out pound-for-pound star Canelo Alvarez.The YouTuber recently moved to 5-0 in his professional boxing career by knocking out Tyron Woodley in their rematch in Florida.

      The victory adds to his previous split decision win over Woodley, along with his triumphs over fellow YouTuber AnEsonGib, basketball player Nate Robinson and MMA wrestler Ben Askren.
      But Smith believes Paul is continuing to con the public and now needs to actually step in with a bonafide boxer.
      In a clip taken from ESPN’s show First Take, he said: “Jake Paul can’t get away with lying anymore.
      “He has been training with boxers and professional boxing trainers for more than four years, from my understanding.
      “You knocked out a basketball player, you knocked out a guy in Ben Askren who was a UFC fighter. He was a wrestler.
      “Tyron Woodley had the power to knock you out; sure, and he’s knocked people out before. But he’s a wrestler.

      Paul ambitiously named Mexican superstar Canelo as someone on his hit-list of opponents after beating Woodley.
      Alvarez is a four-weight world champion and has not lost since he was beaten by Floyd Mayweather in 2013.
      And Smith attacked Paul for even mentioning Canelo’s name as a potential match-up in the future.

      Paul extended his perfect record to 5-0 inside the squared circle as he floored the former UFC welterweight champion in the sixth round.
      And the YouTuber-turned-boxer has remained in the Magic City as he attended the NBA clash between Miami and Detroit at the FTX Arena, which the hosts won 115-112.
      The former Disney actor lived up to his Problem Child moniker by pulling pranks during the match, resulting in security having a word with him.
      Not only did he tell his partner Rose that every quarter of a basketball match was an ‘inning’, he also stole the official stat sheet for the first half.
      Sharing the footage on his Instagram story, Paul can be seen with the piece of paper in his hand, before turning it into a paper airplane.
      A security guard then walked over to the Ohio native to warn him not to throw it onto the court.

      Paul simply captioned the upload: “I’m not going to throw it.”
      The American then uploaded a snap of his girlfriend Rose, where he labelled her as “literally perfect”.
      It comes after Paul revealed he will propose to his partner as soon as possible ahead of their romantic holiday together.
      But despite a future wedding on the horizon, Paul is still determined to land a huge fight in his next outing inside the ring.
      He called out UFC stars Jorge Masvidal and Nate Diaz after stopping Woodley, who were both ringside in Tampa for the bout.
      Paul said: “Masvidal and Nate Diaz, y’all are some b****** for leaving this arena.

      Nate Diaz claims Logan and Jake Paul hired security team to stop UFC star getting to them during Tyron Woodley fight

      NATE DIAZ has claimed the ‘Paul sisters’ hired security to stop him from getting to them at Jake’s recent fight.Former UFC welterweight champion Tyron Woodley replaced Tommy Fury in the event at late notice as he attempted to avenge his defeat to the 24-year-old from August.

      But Woodley suffered a huge knockout blow in the sixth round after he was caught with a hard right hand and has now been medically suspended.
      A number of stars and VIPS were in attendance for the bout including Diaz – although he was there to support his teammate Chris Avila on the undercard.
      And after Paul stretched his fight record to 5-0 he instantly called out UFC’s Stockton Slugger.
      Diaz, who hilariously made fellow fighter Carrese Archer flinch during the show, has now taken to Instagram to send a message back to Jake and his brother Paul alongside a snap of himself between two huge men.
      He wrote: “The Paul sisters hired this security team to make sure I wouldn’t get to them, like I was actually trying too, but it’s alll good with u guys I don’t take this fight thang with u2 serious.
      “You guys playing boxing with wrestlers who can’t box or lil ass Floyd and that’s not cool bruh but it’s good. I’m a real fighter from the real fight game so don’t trip so hard when you see me fellas let’s just be friends it’s good.”

      And Brook, 35, revealed he is in a good place ahead of the fight, suggesting the thought of losing has not crossed his mind.
      But if his compatriot Khan, also 35, does get the better of him, Brook says he will give up boxing.
      Speaking to talkSPORT, Brook told Jim White and Simon Jordan: “I don’t really think about losing.
      “But if we have to bring that up and, even though I can’t get that in my head that I am going to lose, but I would call it a draw.
      “End of the boxing, [gloves] to be hung up.”
      But Brook does not believe he will be stepping away from the ring as he is confident he will beat rival Khan.

      And should he defeat the 34-5 boxer, Brook could set his sights on another Brit – Conor Benn.
      Brook added: “I think my mojo is back, I’m feeling fantastic and I’m enjoying training.
      “Obviously everybody and their dog is talking about it and I’m just excited. I know that Conor Benn is banging the drum for some big fights.
      “This is why I love the sport; I love the challenge, he looked fantastic, sensational in his last fight against Chris Algieri.

      The YouTuber now boasts a 5-0 professional boxing record and has amassed a huge fortune from his fights.
      That led elder brother Logan, who fought Floyd Mayweather earlier this year, to sing the praises of his sibling.
      Logan said on his IMPAULSIVE podcast: “You know what they’ve been saying?
      “They’ve been saying this: our great grandparents had Muhammad Ali, our parents had Mike Tyson and we have Jake Paul.”
      Jake Paul has said similar in the past, declaring himself as the No 1 fighter of the younger generation, following in the footsteps of Ali and Mayweather.
      And he has one interesting similarity with Ali – the pair shared the same birthday, January 17.

      In response to Logan bigging him up Jake said: “When I sat with Mike Tyson on his podcast, bro, he’s so smart and wise and he was sitting next to me for like 20 minutes just preaching knowledge.
      “And he goes, ‘Bro, you’re the GOAT, January 17 people are not to be messed with.’ When I told him my birthday, he was like, ‘Oh my god.'”
      Despite Tyson’s praise Jake Paul has a very long way to go to cement his boxing legacy.

      BOXING promoter Frank Warren has revealed FOUR names are being discussed to fight Tyson Fury in March.But WBC mandatory challenger Dillian Whyte is NOT one of those shortlisted as the Londoner continues his legal wrangles with the organisation.

      It is likely that Fury, 33, will not lay his belt on the line because of the ongoing Whyte situation.
      Speaking to iFL TV, Warren explained: “He can’t be inactive because of the problems caused by this arbitration between the WBC and Whyte.
      “We have got to sort out an opponent first before we can move further forward.
      “I‘m not going to go into that because we have got to get things done first.
      “But we are working quite hard on it an there are about four in the frame and we will make a decision on that, subject to their availability too.”
      Warren revealed that Whyte’s arbitration case with the WBC ‘is not set until March’ – effectively ruling him out of being in the frame to fight that month.

      The legendary promoter also revealed the two boxers are miles apart on purse negotiations for the all-Brit brawl, with Whyte ‘wanting 45 per cent’ but Warren keen for it to be 20 per cent.
      Fury has been typically vocal about the prospect of facing former pal Whyte.
      Earlier he vowed to ‘smash the c***’s face in’ and ‘butcher him, no problem’ if the Brixton bruiser was named his mandatory.

      Logan Paul unable to make boxing return following broken hand but brother Jake urges YouTube star to ‘keep fighting’

      LOGAN PAUL is unable to make his boxing return following a broken hand – but brother Jake urged him to ‘keep fighting’. The YouTubers are now both prizefighting stars, but younger brother Jake has emerged as the more successful boxer, currently 5-0.

      He most recently knocked out Tyron Woodley, with Logan, 26, gobsmacked in attendance.
      Jake, 24, went on his brother’s podcast to discuss the win and urged him to get back in the ring as soon as possible.
      “He’s as big as it gets, and his hand is hurt, I don’t know if people know about that. They don’t know your hand is broken,” Jake said.
      “So, I mean, I know as soon as he feels better he’s going to be back in the gym and I think he should keep fighting. But, that’s about it.”
      In Jake’s first three fights, he beat YouTuber ‘AnEsonGib’, ex-NBA player Nate Robinson, 37, and retired UFC welterweight Ben Askren, also 37.
      He then beat ex-UFC champion Woodley, 39, on points in August and signed to face Tommy Fury, 22, after.

      It added to KO wins over YouTuber ‘AnEsonGib’, ex-NBA player Nate Robinson, 37, and retired UFC welterweight Ben Askren, 37.
      Now Paul has named Canelo Alvarez, Floyd Mayweather, Mike Tyson, Fury and White as his dream opponents.

      The Mexican, 31, is the current pound-for-pound No1, and the idea of him fighting Paul, 24, is horrifically dangerous.
      But even Canelo himself has refused to rule it out, and by coincidence is set to move up to cruiserweight next, Paul’s current weight.
      Paul recently told Joe: “I know he’s moving up to cruiserweight, so he’s playing right into this s*** already. I think I can do some real damage to him.”

      Floyd Mayweather
      Mayweather, 44, is officially retired as a professional but came back in June for a sensation exhibition with Paul’s brother, Logan, 26.
      The spectacle bout went the full eight round distance and Mayweather confirmed it would be his last.
      But beforehand, Paul went viral after nicking the boxing legend’s hat, and if the price is right, it could pave the way for another money-spinner.

      Mike Tyson
      Tyson, 55, in November came out of retirement for an exhibition with Roy Jones Jr, 58, which after eight rounds ended a draw.
      Paul KO’d Robinson on the undercard and built a friendship with Iron Mike, who ironically was rumoured to be in talks to face brother Logan.
      But the opportunity to share the ring with the youngest heavyweight champion of all time could prove too good to turn down for Paul.

      Tyson Fury
      Tommy Fury, 22, was in talks to fight Paul, until he pulled out with a broken rib and was replaced by Woodley.
      Fury has since claimed talks to reschedule are underway but Paul has maintained his rival has missed out.
      And judging by his tweet, he is now ready to move on to big brother Tyson, 33, the unbeaten WBC heavyweight king.

      Dana White
      The UFC president has built up a feud with Paul, having seen Askren and Woodley – two of his ex-fighters – beaten.
      And Paul has called out White over his fighter pay and challenged some of his current stable, like Jorge Masvidal, 37, and Nate Diaz, 36.
      But it looks as though he has called to settle the score with White – a former amateur boxer – once and for all in the ring.
