      Fury’s promoter Frank Warren won the rights to stage the domestic grudge match with a huge £30.6million offer.
      But Whyte is yet to react following the confirmation of his first world championship fight.
      Fury, who has been very vocal, has now sent out a direct message to his mandatory challenger to promise him ‘a good hiding’.
      He said in a Twitter video: “Whyte feathers, coward. Where are ya Whyte feathers?
      “You wanted your world title shot with [Deontay] Wilder for three years, you never got it.
      “You was mandatory for me for three minutes and you got your fight, didn’t you coward? ‘Tyson Fury’s a coward, he don’t want to fight Dillian Whyte’.

      Whyte, 33, was named WBC mandatory for Fury’s title in December, but was left fuming after being handed only a 20 per cent split.
      The contender is still set to appeal the decision with an arbitration case believed to take place by March.
      A source in the Whyte camp told SunSport: “The fact that the purse bids elicited the two highest purse offers of all times is a testament to Dillian Whyte’s extreme marketability.
      “A fact that could and should have led the WBC to give him a 50:50 split under the relevant provision of their own rules and certainly not less than the minimum percentage (80-20) provided there.”
      It held up negotiations with Fury and left opposing teams preferring to auction against each other in purse bids opposed to agreeing terms for a fee.

      But, Middle Eastern backers were at the same time were fronting cash and talks for the Gypsy King, 33, to instead face Oleksander Usyk.
      Usyk, 35, is contracted to a rematch with Anthony Joshua, 32, following his 12-round upset in September.
      And it meant AJ and Whyte would have needed separate step-aside deals to allow the Saudi undisputed title decider.
      Fees were said to have been agreed until at the ’11th hour’ talks broke down following a disagreement in terms.
      Fury’s side claimed Joshua demanded an additional £3.7m while the WBC champ was accused of wanting an interim fight before facing Usyk.
      Ultimately, the heavyweight unification collapsed with Joshua now in line to rematch Usyk.
      And following Warren’s successful purse bid, Fury is due to fight Whyte, with April 23 in Cardiff the frontrunner to host.

      Promoter Frank Warren claimed the Saudi showdown collapsed because AJ wanted an extra ‘£3.7million’ to step away from his rematch with Usyk, a demand that sent The Gypsy King up the wall.
      In an interview with iFL TV, Warren said: Tyson’s a big man, he can speak for himself. He don’t need me to tell you.
      “But that’s what it was. I got a call off him [and] he was going berserk saying, ‘No, forget about it!'”

      Joshua’s high-stakes rematch with Usyk, meanwhile, is currently in the works for May.

      The South American suffered a nasty cut during the bout but nevertheless earned a draw on the judges scorecards after eight rounds.
      Responding to the callout, Paul tweeted: “I accept your challenge. Keep training.”
      Whindersson, 27, responded: “Let’s do it.”
      Nunes has almost 57million followers on Instagram, more than double Paul’s 22m.
      After sharing the ring with former super-featherweight champion Freitas, he has now boxed twice before, winning an amateur bout in 2019.
      Paul, 26, on the other hand has fought three times before, starting with a 2018 white collar bout against Brit rival KSI, 28.

      ANTHONY JOSHUA was the fifth highest tax-paying celeb for 2021, it has been revealed.The British heavyweight boxer may have lost all his titles to Oleksandr Usyk, but it proved another profitable couple of years for the 32-year-old.

      That saw him pay more tax than the likes of Little Mix, Harry Styles and Stormzy.
      AJ has lucrative sponsorship deals with Under Armour, Hugo Boss and Lucozade and is the face of DAZN boxing streaming.
      But top of the ‘celeb’ list is Ed Sheeran, having had to part with £12.5m. David and Victoria Beckham were the third-highest shelling out £7.2m.

      He told ESPN’s Stephen A Smith: “Stephen, I can run a 4.5-second 40-yard dash.

      When asked what position he’d like to play, Paul told Smith: “Wide Receiver, I got hands.

      The Problem Child wants to continue facing big-name fighters and hopes to round off his career with a world title in tow.
      He said: “The sky is the limit for me right now and if I want to accomplish something it’s all about me being able to do that and me making the commitment and putting in the work required to do that.
      “But I think right now, going to 10-0, being undefeated, fighting some big names, making history and maybe taking a world championship belt from somebody just to say I did it, and retiring at 10-0.”
      Paul has seemingly turned his attention away from boxing to potentially competing in mixed martial arts.

      “When Joshua asked for an extra $5million, he said, ‘Enough is enough,’ and that was it.
      “He said, ‘I’m not interested, he’s too greedy,’ and that was enough. He’s a champion – Tyson’s not beholden to Anthony Joshua.
      “Him and Usyk wanted to get it on, both of them wanted to get it on.

      AJ promoter Eddie Hearn claimed the Saudi showdown collapsed because the Gypsy King wanted a warm-up fight ahead of the multi-million-pound desert dust-up.
      Warren dismissed that notion, saying: “It’s all irrelevant and I don’t particularly care what Eddie Hearn said.
      “Eddie Hearn says lots of things and he’s part of the problem why these things don’t get over the line.
      “A year ago when we were trying to put together a fight between Joshua and Tyson, every week he was saying, ‘It’s done, the contracts are being issued,’ despite the fact we all signed an agreement not to make any statements until it was done.”
