      But fans were seething after it emerged the pair were actually launching an energy drink together – not announcing a trilogy bout.
      The influencers revealed all on an Instagram live stream, which led to a backlash online.
      One user commented on Instagram: “not happy at all.”
      Parkerfeys wrote: “Bro did us wrong.”
      Another wrote: “Who else thought they gonna announce a 3rd fight?” 
      While Caleb_cromwell added: “this is not what i wanted.”

      He did not reveal an opponent, but was asked about facing 19-year-old social media influencer Money Kicks – real name Rashed Belhasa.
      Mayweather, 44, replied: “I spoke with [advisor] James McNair about Money Kicks.
      “We don’t really know, I think since he’s from here it would be great, it’s going to be a very special crowd, not too many people.
      “So if you get a chance to come here, you must know that you’re very, very special for this event.
      “But the kid Money Kicks is doing great things and I’m liking what I’ll see.”
      Money Kicks has a record of just 2-0, with white collar wins against unknown pair Anas Elshayib and Ajmal Khan.

      Mayweather has previously distanced himself from ever coming back to traditional boxing and doubled down on valuing this as entrainment, opposed to sport.
      He said: “Well, I don’t like to call what I’m doing a fight. I like to call it a limited edition boxing showcase. Because it’s bigger than just boxing.”

      BRITISH boxing WILL return in February following a ban in January due to a surge in coronavirus cases. The British Board of Boxing Control cancelled all events this month to allow medics to prioritise work with NHS during pandemic.

      But now, BBoBC general secretary Robert Smith confirmed, as it stands, boxing can resume in February.
      He told talkSPORT: “Come February, they’ll be able to do shows and we’ll take it from there.
      “I’m confident this is the right thing to do. I’m advised by the doctors, I have to take the advice.
      “If you’ve got the doctors, you need to listen to what they’re saying.
      “Those decisions are hard decisions to make, but that’s why we govern a sport.”
      It paves the way for Amir Khan’s grudge match with Kell Brook, both 35, to stay on track for February 19 in Manchester.

      Khan’s massive clash with Brook will take place on Saturday, February 19 in Manchester.

      He told MMA Junkie: “If you want to come into MMA, we would gladly do it.

      Paul has yet to fight a fully-fledged boxer in his brief stint in the sport and Coker believes the social media sensation is due a step up in competition.
      He continued: “The days of him fighting basketball players or whatever, those days are over.
      “He wants to do it. The only thing I will say is, my understanding is he wants to get 10 fights into boxing, and then after that come over to mixed martial arts.
      “I know certain people feel a certain way, but I tell you, don’t underestimate these guys because when they have their minds made up, it just seems like that they’re able to fulfill their destiny, and so to me, it’s something that if they want to make it happen, we would love to do something with them and put them in some big fights and really test them out.”
      Paul – along with older brother Logan – has made waves in the boxing world in his five professional bouts.
      And although the brothers came into martial arts very late, Coker is refusing to put a ceiling on how far they can go.
      The veteran promoter said: “I always said, ‘Look, these guys are real athletes, and they’re young, they work hard, they’re grinding it out.

      “What you saw with Woodley, that’s a lot of hard work to get to that point. I’ve never seen Woodley get knocked out like that, right? And so, is it just boxing?
      “Yes. So, I always said, ‘Look, man, don’t underestimate these guys,’ and this was like a year-and-a-half ago.”
