      DANIEL CORMIER admitted he has ‘no interest’ in training Jake Paul – and reckons the YouTuber’s switch to MMA ‘seems like a ploy’. Paul is 5-0 as a boxer but recently revealed plans to one day make a move to the cage.

      He later claimed Javier Mendez – who has coached the likes of Khabib Nurmagomedov and Cormier – would be his choice of MMA trainer.
      But former two-weight UFC champion DC would not be lending his knowledge to Paul, who once called him out to a fight.
      Cormier, 42, told The Schmo: “No, I have no interest in that. It seems like a lot of ploys, right? It’s always ploys.
      “I don’t know how true much of it is, but it seems like a ploy to me, so I’m not going to play that game.”
      Paul, 24, most recently knocked out ex-UFC champion Tyron Woodley in their December rematch, four months after initially winning on points.
      It added to KO’s over YouTuber ‘AnEsonGib’, ex-NBA player Nate Robinson, 37, and retired UFC welterweight Ben Askren, 37.

      He said: “It could happen. But like anybody, we have to go through all the coaches and all the fighters that are here and anybody that’s a famous athlete like him.
      “They will go through the routine that everybody does, so he would have to get voted by everybody.
      “First of all, he’s never asked. What he’s done is he’s marketed himself beautifully.
      “I loved the plug he gave us, I think it was a fantastic plug and I think he’s a fantastic person.
      “But the reality is no matter who you are, you have to go through the team to get consent to train with us.
      “He hasn’t been given consent because he hasn’t asked. It’s not that he won’t [be approved], I just know he hasn’t asked.
      “If he does get denied, he won’t know who denied him, because we don’t say that.”

      Floyd Mayweather STILL owes Logan Paul money for fight purse seven months after bout, claims YouTuber’s podcast co-host

      LOGAN PAUL has still not been fully paid for his boxing exhibition with Floyd Mayweather, his podcast host claimed. The YouTuber and boxing legend in June boxed over eight rounds in Miami, with the spectacle bout ending without a winner.

      Mayweather boasted before and afterwards about earning $100million (£72million) for the exhibition – which he dubbed a ‘legalised bank robbery’.
      But Paul has since alleged on social media that he is owed money by the retired boxer, nicknamed ‘Money’.
      Responding to an article about Mayweather’s wealth, Paul tweeted: “Yeah because the dirty little rat hasn’t paid me yet lol. It’s been 6 months.
      “But no worries @Floydmayweather,  @KSI and I are going to make back the money you stole from me & more. January 4.”
      Paul, 26, later went on to announce, along with former boxing opponent KSI, 28, they have launched a beverage brand called ‘Prime Hydration’.
      But his accusations towards Mayweather – who is yet to respond – have gained traction and his Impaulsive podcast co-host Mike Majlak was quizzed on the subject.

      Asked on The Daily Stardust if Paul had been paid by Mayweather, Majlak responded: “I think he paid some of it. But I don’t think he paid all of it.
      “He still owes him some. They are working on it right now.”
      The exhibition bout reportedly sold over 1million pay-per-view buys at $49.99, meaning over $50m was generated in box office sales alone. 
      Mayweather, 44, officially retired in 2017 after beating UFC superstar Conor McGregor, 33, in a lucrative crossover bout.

      But he has returned twice, both in exhibitions, starting with a one round demolition job over featherweight kickboxer Tenshin Nasukawa, 23.
      He then returned to face social media star Paul who weighed TWO STONE more, and avoided a knockout loss.
      Mayweather is now in talks to fight 19-year-old Dubai-based YouTuber ‘Money Kicks’ in the Middle East on February 20.
      Meanwhile Paul, who drew to KSI in 2018 but lost the rematch a year later, is yet to return to the ring.

      ‘I’m done’ – Amir Khan reveals he will RETIRE at 35 but promises to KO rival Kell Brook in grudge match first

      AMIR KHAN has revealed he will RETIRE after his grudge match with Kell Brook – but vowed to go out on a high. The long-time welterweight rivals will at last settle their score in the ring with a sell-out in Manchester on February 19.

      But for Khan, he admitted the finale fight will be the end of the road for him and his illustrious career, but promised to go out on a knockout.
      He said on Instagram: “I leave it to God to decide which round I knock Kell Brook out. I am going to win the fight 100 per cent. 
      “People ask me what I’m doing after this fight. I’m done, man.”
      Khan, 35, will go down as one of Britain’s most celebrated fighters – a silver medalist at just 17-years-old and former unified world champion.
      For Brook, also 35, he never got the same recognition but was a long-reigning IBF welterweight title holder with supreme skills.
      And while he may have been in Khan’s shadows for parts of his career, he plans to shatter his rival’s legacy in just one fight.

      DILLIAN WHYTE has been told by Bob Arum to ‘quit screwing around’ and agree to fight Tyson Fury. The WBC recently ordered Fury to defend his heavyweight title against mandatory challenger Whyte.

      But they later confirmed the percentage of any purse split would be 80 per cent in the champion’s favour.
      Fuming Whyte has since protested against the decision and is appealing it, pushing back the dates of the purse bids.
      But American Hall of Famer Arum and promoter Frank Warren are ready to offer the British contender a mega-money fee and put the row to bed.
      Arum told Sky Sports: “If he wants the fight and stops messing around, he can get a good payday and prove that he is of a world-class calibre by taking on Fury.
      “We’d like to do that fight. It’s a good fight for the UK.
      “Whyte should sit down with myself and Frank Warren and work out a deal for a guarantee, and we’ll get this show on the road.

      WBC president Mauricio Sulaiman confirmed the splits were determined following a review of Fury and Whyte’s recent paydays.
      Sulaiman told BoxingScene: “The consideration for the 80/20 split comes from the purses the fighters have earned in their recent fights.”
      Whyte had hoped for a 45 per cent split due to his status as WBC ‘interim’ champ.
      But Fury’s superior profile has seen the WBC award him the lion’s share of the potential fight purse.
      With the pay percentage set to go to arbitration, it leaves the chances of negotiating a fee outside of purse bids unlikely.

      If it does reach that stage, the highest bidder among interested parties will win the rights to stage the fight.
      Should opposing promotional teams fail to strike a deal outside of purse bids, and Whyte rejects the 20 per cent cut, Fury could look elsewhere.
      Arum has already named ex-champion Andy Ruiz Jr and Robert Helenius as alternative opponents in the running.
      Ruiz, 32, is most commonly remembered for beating Joshua, also 32, in June 2019, but losing the rematch six months later.
      Helenius, 37, is on a three-fight win streak, with his last two coming against Adam Kownacki, 32.
      But ultimately, the man himself will have the final say if No1 target Whyte falls through.

      Arum said: “That is up to Tyson. We have discussed other opponents.”
      March 26 has been pencilled in as Fury’s homecoming – his first fight in the UK since 2018.
      But Arum warned:  “If the fight is a week later or two weeks later? It’s not the end of the world.” More

      Here are six YouTube stars who have become boxers.
      Jake Paul
      The most famous out of all the YouTubers when it comes to the sport, Jake has enjoyed an epic rise in boxing.
      Boasting a 5-0 record, he has seen off MMA stars Tyron Woodley (twice), Ben Askren and cruelly knocked out ex-NBA hero Nate Robinson.
      Jake has repeatedly called out UFC’s Jorge Masvidal for a fight, while he has a continuing beef with Conor McGregor.
      It has been reported he has made around £20million so far in his astonishing career.

      Jake’s elder brother Logan was the first of the Paul brothers to embrace combat.
      Unbelievably, when the pair were on the rise Logan and Jake offered each other out for a fight, although that never materialised.
      Logan did fight YouTube rival KSI, though, twice. The first fight ended in a draw, then KSI won a rematch at the Staples Center in Los Angeles, which was streamed by DAZN in the US.
      The fight was watched by over 2.25 million live viewers, including over 1.05 million watching pay-per-view and 1.2 million watching illegal streams on Twitch.

      Conqueror of Logan Paul, YouTuber/rapper/boxer KSI, real name JJ Olatunji, isn’t short of confidence.
      The British star labelled Jake a “c***” in front of brother Logan, insisting he would be able to beat him in a fight. Whether or not that happens is another thing, with KSI
      So far KSI has fought three times, twice against Paul and once against Joe Weller – and is undefeated.
      With over 34million subscribers, you can bet if the Londoner was to return to the ring it would draw huge pay-per-view figures, even if he does say he’s retired… for now.

      Money Kicks
      You wouldn’t normally associate Rashed Belhasa, better known as Money Kicks, with boxing.
      No, in fact it’s more common to see him hanging out with sports stars in a zoo that’s part of the heir to a billionaire’s mansion and posting photos on his Instagram.
      However, Belhasa is game – and will fight the legend that is Floyd Mayweather in an exhibition bout scheduled to go for eight rounds, if it lasts that long, on February 20 in Dubai.
      He’s confident too. He told Sky Sports: “Mayweather is too fast – I need to be close and just go crazy on him!
      “I won’t lie to myself. Entering the ring with him is an honour. I will try my best. You never know – any punch can land, and I have heavy hands.”

      Joe Weller
      Eastbourne YouTuber Weller was the first of his kind to start the trend of social media personalities going into boxing.
      He fought internet star Theo Baker in 2017, winning the contest, and called himself the “champion of boxing on YouTube.”
      Weller would later lose to KSI, and spar with Jake Paul in LA when he visited.
      He has not fought since being knocked out by Paul in the first round of their sparring session.

      AnEsonGib
      The Saudi-born AnEsonGib, real name Ali Loui Al-Fakhri, fought at amateur level before taking on Jake Paul and losing.
      He did enjoy success early on – winning by technical knockout against fellow YouTuber MaxPlaysFifa at the Copper Box Arena in London in 2018, and defeating Jay Swingler of TGFbro by unanimous decision.
      Most recently, Gib fought American TikToker Tayler Holder in an exhibition bout at the YouTubers vs. TikTokers event last.
      The result was originally announced as a majority draw.
      However, following controversy, the result was changed to a UD victory for Gib after a review by the officiating organisation

      Mayweather, 44, retired from pro boxing with a 50-0 record after beating Conor McGregor back in August 2017.
      Since then he beat Japanese boxer Tenshin Nasukawa in an exhibition fight before he was taken the distance by YouTuber Logan Paul last summer.
      Money is now in the final stages of negotiations to box another YouTuber – the man known as Money Kicks.
      The former five-weight world champion revealed this month he’ll return to the ring in February for ANOTHER exhibition bout.

      Last week Mayweather said his next exhibition fight will be staged on the Burj Al Arab Jumeirah’s helipad in Dubai.

      And the 20-year-old has revealed negotiations over the surprise bout are coming to a head.
      After claiming talks were at the ‘last stage’, Money Kicks told Sky Sports: “I never thought I would ever fight Floyd. He is the best fighter ever.
      “When I was young, I would collect his ‘The Money Team’ caps.
      “Mayweather’s team asked my team for a meeting. We thought: ‘No way will this happen!’
      “The same day of the meeting, I saw Mayweather saying, ‘I would love to fight Rashed’.
      “He is serious. It is an honour that he has called me out. I thought: ‘This will go viral!'”

      He is 28-1 in his professional career and now wants to fight YouTuber Paul in a money-spinning bout.
      And he was even willing to ink his body to try and do so.
      The experienced fighter has shown off a new tattoo featuring Paul’s name.
      It reads ‘Jake’s Bad Karma’ and runs down his left thigh.
      But Hearn was not impressed.
