      Jake Paul and Tommy Fury fights ‘are there for’ Viddal Riley but KSI’s ex-coach ‘wants to be respected as a boxer’

      VIDDAL RILEY has mega-fights against Jake Paul and Tommy Fury there for him if he chooses – but prefers to be ‘respected as a boxer’.The Londoner was an elite amateur, representing the famed West Ham club and competing in the Youth Olympics.

      But his friendship with famous YouTubers, including Britain’s KSI, saw Riley, 24, become a social media star of his own.
      The unbeaten cruiserweight, who left Floyd Mayweather’s stable to return home, has been linked with Paul, 25, and Fury, 22, in the past.
      But according to his Sky Sports promoter Ben Shalom, Riley is eyeing a more traditional route, opposed to quick cash-grab pay-per-views.
      Shalom said: “It would be a big fight because of the massive followings that the guys have.
      “Viddal has a big fan-base from YouTube and Tommy comes from the Fury family and made his own name on Love Island.
      “I don’t know whether the Jake Paul vs Tommy fight will still happen. I hope it does for Tommy. These fights are there for Viddal too.

      “But he wants to go the traditional way. He is looking at the British title – where Richard Riakporhe, Mikael Lawal and Chris Billam-Smith already are.
      “Viddal wants to mix it with them. He wants to be respected as a boxer, not an online personality.
      “But when you can do both? That’s when the big fights really happen.”
      Riley shot to fame after becoming KSI’s boxing coach and together they drew with Logan Paul, 26, in 2018 but won the rematch a year later.
      Since then, Logan’s brother Jake has become a 5-0 prizefighter himself and last year said he had the beating of Riley.
      But the part-time rapper admitted he would be in no rush to prove the American wrong, unless the price was right.
      I don’t know whether the Jake Paul vs Tommy fight will still happen. I hope it does for Tommy. These fights are there for Viddal too. But he wants to go the traditional way.
      Riley said in December: “This guy says that he believes he can beat me.
      “As a fighter, and someone that is dedicating their life to the sport, he should feel that he can beat other fighters.
      “But it’s never come out of his mouth before. I don’t think about him like that – I don’t want to fight these men.
      “I want to keep my path traditional in the ring. But if he says things like that? I will fight Jake if it makes sense and if certain stipulations are in place.
      “I won’t go out of my way to hype it up, to hunt him down and say: ‘You’ve got me next’. Honestly I don’t care.
      “But I can’t let him say that he can beat me. It’s too far.”

      Paul is now focused on promoting the women’s super-fight between Katie Taylor, 35, and Amanda Serrano, 33.
      But his trainer BJ Flores said there is no shortage of high-profile opponents ready to welcome the American celebrity back to the ring.
      Flores, 43, told The Schmo: “You’ve got to sit back and watch.
      “He’s got a lot of options. He’s knocked out everybody he’s fought and he’s done what he had to do.
      “He’s got a lot of good options right now and people are beating down the door to fight him.
      “We’ll see what happens over the next few months and see what unravels but it’ll be good whatever happens next.”

      Flores has been with Paul since his professional debut in January 2020, which was a first-round win against online rival ‘AnEsonGib’.
      He then knocked out ex-NBA star Nate Robinson, 37, in the November before moving on to face actual fighters.
      He beat retired UFC welterweight Ben Askren, 37, in March 2021 and then Woodley, 39, in August on points.

      It left Sheffield’s former IBF welterweight champion welcoming some of boxing’s best stars to the UK instead.

      Brook got himself into the IBF mandatory position and travelled to California as an underdog to challenge then-champ Porter, now 34.
      And against the odds, he boxed his way to a majority decision win to snatch the belt away and bring it home to the UK.
      It remains one of the most underrated wins for a Brit on the road and sparked a three-year title reign.

      At the time, this was Britain’s first-ever welterweight world title fight and headlined on Sky Box Office.
      Gavin, 36, was an elite amateur but failed to reach the same heights as a pro, but nevertheless was a statement win for Brook.
      He dominated the fight before the referee stopped the action just before the end of round six.

      Brook walked away from a proposed welterweight unification to jump to middleweight after talks for Chris Eubank Jr, 32, to fight Golovkin, 39, collapsed.
      He started well in the opening rounds before GGG’s size and power took over, eventually winning in round five.
      Brook’s bravery came at a cost as he fractured his right eye socket but the fascinating fight proved popular with reports of 400,000-700,00 PPV buys.

      Errol Spence Jr
      Just under a year after his brutal loss to GGG, Brook returned in another massive fight, against unbeaten American star Errol Spence Jr, 31.
      But it ended in similar fashion for Brook, who raced to an early lead before Spence’s pressure proved decisive.
      It saw Brook lose his IBF welterweight crown and suffer another horror eye injury, this time his left.

      Terence Crawford, 2020
      Following defeat to Spence, Brook moved up to super-welterweight and looked to be making a run to become a two-weight champ.
      But then an opportunity to fight another pound-for-pound star in Crawford, 34, was proposed and deemed too good to turn down.
      Brook shrunk back down to 10st 7lb but was finished in four rounds behind closed doors in in Las Vegas, his last bout to date.

      “I knew he was good and vice versa.”
      Khan’s memory of the camp is of soft-spoken Sheffield slugger Brook being brought in as a body for the more skilled fighters in the camp to beat up.
      He said of Special K: “He was quiet. We never shared any words. Kell was only there as a number.”
      The 35-year-old added: “Kell was briefly there. They let him spar just to check him out.

      But Pimblett isn’t buying Paul’s claim that he wants to fatten fighters’ pockets, nor does he believe The Problem Child is keen on a transition to MMA.
      During an appearance on the Chattin’ Pony podcast, the former Cage Warriors featherweight champ said: “The way he’s saying, ‘I’m gonna end up getting in the cage.’
      “You’re not, lad. You’re not. Stop lying. If you want to have an MMA fight, I’ll fight you in my ma’s garden tomorrow. You know what I mean?

      Pimblett is adamant Paul’s rants about fighter pay are just an attempt to make UFC president Dana White look bad.

      Fury has signed his part of the 80 – 20 purse deal against the mandatory challenger.
      Now the Gypsy King is just waiting for Brixton banger Whyte to put pen to paper.
      Fury posted a video and a selection of photos of his boxing belts, each in their own glass box.
      There are the WBA, WBO, IBF and IBO straps he won when he sensationally outpointed Vladimir Klitschko in 2015.

      But after the dust settled, UFC champion Adesanya, 32, spoke with Paul, 25, and boxing coach BJ Flores.
