      TYSON FURY urged UFC champion Francis Ngannou to ‘come see the Gypsy King’ and ‘make some real money’ in a boxing fight. Ngannou is now a free agent after beating Ciryl Gane, fighting out the last bout on his current UFC contract.

      And Fury appears ready to welcome the Cameroonian star over to the boxing ring for a lucrative crossover clash.
      He tweeted: “Congratulations @francis_ngannou but if you want to make some real money come see the GK.”
      The disparity in fighter pay between the UFC’s Ngannou and unbeaten boxing champion Fury was laid bare.
      Ngannou, 35, walked away with £440,000 after beating Gane, 31, but does receive bonuses when pay-per-view sales are calculated.
      Whereas Fur, 33, reportedly earned £22m alone for his brutal 11-round knockout in his trilogy bout with Deontay Wilder, 36, in October.

      He said: “It’s been a long time I’ve been wondering about my future in the company. So nothing has changed. I’m still in the same position.
      “I’ve been going to the UFC a lot so I’d kind of like exhausted all my options.”

      Tyson Fury
      The WBC and UFC champions have long been locked in a verbal feud, with Ngannou claiming there is a ‘9/10’ chance they fight eventually.
      Fury, 33, also teased a ‘clash of the heavyweight titans’ only shortly after calling for a boxing match with 4oz UFC gloves.
      Following Ngannou’s points win over Gane, Fury posted on Instagram: “If you want to make some real money come see the big GK.”

      In the summer of 2020 Whyte and Ngannou were linked with a sensational two-fight deal, one in the cage and ring.
      The pair even recorded a virtual conference call but without UFC president Dana White’s knowledge, meaning it was never released.
      With Whyte, 33, already opening the door to facing Ngannou in the past, and words having been traded, it sets up the crossover clash nicely.

      Deontay Wilder
      The American former WBC champ was named by Ngannou as one of the reasons he wanted to lace up the gloves.
      Ngannou told TMZ in December: “Tyson Fury, Deontay Wilder. I would like to test myself to that level.”
      Wilder, 36, is yet to return since his trilogy bout loss to Fury in October but a fight with Ngannou would pit two of the biggest punchers ever.

      Joe Joyce
      Unbeaten British contender Joyce, 36, is one of the only heavyweights in the world to truly know the extent of Ngannou’s boxing ability.
      The pair in 2020 enjoyed some Las Vegas sparring sessions and Joyce was left impressed by the MMA powerhouse.
      Secret sparring sessions have long been used to fuel demand for a fight and this could be no different.

      The veteran fan-favourite has teased an MMA switch before and is always open to risky but money-making fights.
      With his reputation of exciting British supporters, Ngannou could have the prefect ready-made boxing opponent in Chisora.
      Chisora has already called out Wilder recently so will have no problem welcoming Ngannou to the ring.

      FILIPINO star Mark Magsayo beat Gary Russell on points to end boxing’s longest championship reign.The featherweight star was awarded the win by two of the three judges to claim the WBC title.

      Magsayo is promoted by boxing legend – and fellow Filipino – Manny Pacquiao who heaped praise on his man after the win in Atlantic City.
      American Russell had held the title since March 2015.
      However, it was only his sixth defence in that time.
      Speaking after the win, Magsayo said: “This is my dream since I was a kid.
      “Thank you for the support from Filipino fans. Now I became a world champion.”
      Two judges gave it to Magsayo at 115-113 with the other scoring it 114-114.

      Magsayo is yet to lose, with Saturday’s win his 24th – with 16 coming by way of knockout.
      He earned his title shot in August by KOing Mexico’s Julio Ceja.
      Russell, who hasn’t fought more than once in a calendar year since 2014, stepped into the ring for the first time since February 2020 when he beat Mongolia’s Tugstsogt Nyambayar.
      However, the 33-year-old was carrying a shoulder injury sustained in training which he said impacted the result against Magsayo.
      He said: “I hit him with some good shots in the third round and that is why he got hurt.”

      Hasbulla calls out Logan Paul for boxing fight – but YouTuber brilliantly trolls him in response

      LOGAN PAUL has trolled social media sensation Hasbulla after being called out by the Russian.Hasbulla, who shot to fame last year following a string of hilarious viral clips, jokingly challenged the YouTuber to a fight on Twitter last weekend.

      Via his official cryptocurrency Twitter account, he said: “Hey @LoganPaul, I challenge you a fight for your NFT.”
      It didn’t take long for Paul to get wind of the call-out, which he responded to on Instagram.
      He posted a screengrab of the video to his story with the accompanying caption: “Called out by the king himself @hasbulla.”
      Paul then mocked the social media star by posting another snap of his call-out video above a picture of Dodgeball character White Goodman, who was played by Hollywood A-lister Ben Stiller.
      Hasbulla, 18, has yet to respond to Paul’s dig at him.
      Dagestan’s Hasbulla has become a cult star in the mixed martial arts world and was even present at UFC 267 last October.

      UFC supremo Dana White even hinted the teenager could one day compete inside the octagon.
      But Hasbulla himself has ruled out the possibility of ever setting foot inside the cage.

      JARED ANDERSON is the heavyweight with 100 per cent knockouts, drawing legendary comparisons and tipped as the heir to Tyson Fury. The American prospect is 11-0, all inside the distance and helped Fury with vital sparring before the Brit’s 2020 and 2021 wins over Deontay Wilder.

      And according to his promoter Bob Arum, Anderson will soon inherit the Gypsy King’s throne.
      Hall of Famer Arum – who has overseen seven decades in the sport – guided some of the most iconic names in all of boxing.
      That includes Muhammad Ali while the promoter witnessed first-hand Mike Tyson in 1986 become the youngest heavyweight champion of all time at 20.
      And 90-year-old Arum likened Anderson to the pair of heavyweight greats.
      He told Sky Sports: “Mike Tyson was a tremendous puncher who didn’t show much boxing ability.
      “Jared has shown boxing ability and power. He reminds me more of a young Muhammad Ali than a young Mike Tyson.”

      Anderson goes by the nickname Big Baby, which he gave himself, and he is sticking with it even though he shares it with  by disgraced heavyweight Jarrell Miller.
      Anderson said: “I always felt I was the ‘Big Baby.’ No disrespect to (Miller) or anything but I just think that (nickname is) me, that’s my name.
      “I came up with it. Nobody is going to put the name to use like I am. I’m always gonna be the better man.”
      Arum currently promotes unbeaten WBC champion Fury, 33, who most recently knocked out Wilder, 36, in their October trilogy bout.
      And the American promoter believes he also has the next heavyweight champ on his hands as well.
      He said: “That’s what I really believe he will be. When Fury hangs up the gloves, Jared will be in pole position to become the next great heavyweight.”
      Wilder is yet to return since his his second Las Vegas loss to Fury – but Arum has welcomed back the Bronze Bomber for an end of year clash with Anderson.
      He revealed: “Wilder is a terrific talent. He hits like a mule, as Tyson would attest to. Pretty much anybody in the heavyweight division would lose to Wilder.
      “He should process. The one guy who will be equipped to beat him, by the end of this year, is Anderson.
      “I would be prepared to discuss a potential Wilder vs Anderson fight by the end of this year.
      “We are grooming him to be the next heavyweight champion after Fury.”

      But the Top Rank legend, 90, sounds confident Wednesday’s big-fight auction between Fury and Whyte’s camps settles the painful soap opera.

      The Watford ace has parted with Team GB mentor Rob McCracken and is splitting his time between his original North London gym and assistant trainer Angel Fernandez’s facility at Loughborough University.
      Promoter Eddie Hearn reckons the  new-look Team AJ has helped the 32-year-old emerge from the depression the September Usyk loss left him in.
      The Matchroom boss said: “I am sure there will be additional trainers or a trainer that comes into the fold and AJ is in a really good place now.
      “He knows he got beat by the better man on the night and that hurt for a long time but now he is in a really good place.
      “He is enjoying life and training again and getting his camp together, he is good.”

      AMIR KHAN insists Kell Brook has no chance against Mr Clean in next month’s grudge fight.The millionaires — both 35 — will finally do battle to settle a decade of bad blood on February 19.

      Former light-welterweight world champion Khan has agreed to let ex-welterweight champ Brook meet him at the catchweight limit of 149lbs in Manchester.
      And the devout Bolton hero reckons his Sheffield rival has enjoyed himself too much out of the ring to challenge his legacy.
      Khan said: “When you look at my life outside of boxing, I live a reasonably clean life and that will help me.
      “I’m 35, Kell is a very similar age to me, but I think Kell’s lifestyle is very different to me.
      “We live opposite life-styles. I am a family man who doesn’t drink alcohol, I live that clean life. Whereas I don’t think Kell does.”
      Brook put in a career-defining display in 2014 when he ripped the IBF title away from hometown favourite Shawn Porter in the States.

      But accusations of ill-discipline have dogged him and he has often ballooned up in weight between bouts.
      And Khan reckons he saw signs of that last November at their first press face-off.
      Khan added: “What got me to where I was was hard work, dedication, discipline and focus.
      “We know Kell is one of these guys who can go off the rails after a fight. He’ll go missing for a couple of weeks and put on a load of weight.
      “If you saw him at the press conference he looked very unfit and unhealthy.
      “I doubted then he’d be in the best condition in ten weeks, when the fight comes around, whereas I had already been in training for the last couple of months.”

      Prospect Anderson, 22, helped Fury, 33, in key sparring sessions in both the Brit’s rematch and trilogy fight.
      And Arum – who promotes the Gypsy King – named Anderson as a future opponent for Wilder, 36, even as early as late 2022.
      He told Sky Sports: “Wilder is a terrific talent. He hits like a mule, as Tyson would attest to.
      “Pretty much anybody in the heavyweight division would lose to Wilder.
      “The one guy who will be equipped to beat him, by the end of this year, is Anderson.
      “I would be prepared to discuss a potential Wilder vs Anderson fight by the end of this year.
      “We are grooming him to be the next heavyweight champion after Fury.”

      Arum likened the 6ft 4in heavyweight to Muhammad Ali as well as Mike Tyson and tipped him to become the heir to Fury’s current throne.
      The Hall of Fame promoter said: “Yes, that’s what I really believe he will be.
      “When Fury hangs up the gloves, Jared will be in pole position to become the next great heavyweight.
      “Mike Tyson was a tremendous puncher who didn’t show much boxing ability. Jared has shown boxing ability and power.
      “He reminds me more of a young Muhammad Ali than a young Mike Tyson.”
