‘You want putting in an asylum’ – Tyson Fury’s dad John blasts Dillian Whyte for not signing £6m fight contract

JOHN FURY reckons Dillian Whyte will need to be sectioned if he rejects the offer on the table to face his son Tyson.WBC heavyweight champ Fury is on course to lock horns with his old sparring partner in a Battle of Britain on April 23 provided the pair return signed contracts to the WBC on Monday.

But Brixton banger Whyte is still seething with the 80-20 purse split in Tyson’s favour, which John has urged him to stop whinging about.
In an Instagram video, he said: “Dillian Whyte – you said you wanted a title shot.
“You’ve been waiting three years, banging on how you can’t get your title shot.
“But now you’ve got it, you don’t seem to want it pal.
“Listen, I don’t know what mind games you’re playing mate, they don’t work with us.
“But you’re running out of time pal and you’re gonna make yourself look very stupid.

“Get the contract signed, fight, get your beating, and on with your job.
“At least the consolation prize is you can count $8million (£5.8m)
“But I don’t know what’s wrong with you pal – if you decline $8m, you want putting in the asylum.
“Sign the contract, get on with it and be a man, as much of a man as you think you are pal.
“God bless and we’ll see you at the press conference, if you’re a man.”
John’s fiery message to the interim WBC heavyweight champ came shortly after son Tyson claimed his old training partner wanted to be paid for attending their pre-fight press conference.
He said: “I just heard that little sausage Dillian Whyte wants paying to turn up for a press conference.
“You little silly fat sausage, you’re getting that [a fist], you coward.”
Tyson Fury aimed a number of digs at Dillian Whyte over the last few weeks
The Gypsy King then revealed he plans to set up a Just Giving page for the Brixton Bodysnatcher.
He continued: “Hi guys, just a quick one. I’m setting up a Just Giving page for Dillian Whyte so he can show up to the press conference and I’m going to donate first.
“My donation is 47p, you useless dosser.”

Amir Khan vs Kell Brook clash impossible to call with people’s vote split ALMOST 50-50 between two bitter rivals

THE BOUT between Amir Khan and Kell Brook is ALMOST too close to call, a SunSport poll reveals. The battle of the 35-year-old Brits will finally go ahead on Saturday night.
Khan and Brook will eventually go toe-to-toe in Saturday night’s much anticipated fightCredit: PA

The contest will take place in Manchester in front of a sold-out crowd of 20,000, with the main event expected to get underway at 10.30pm UK time.
And Brook has edged Khan in the exclusive pre-fight poll asking 5,000 SunSport readers who will win.
After years of trash talk between the pair, most are viewing the fight as a final cash-out for both.
Boxing expert Johnny Nelson suggested that the two homegrown welterweight’s should retire after the fight.
In a fiery pre-match conference on Thursday, Khan demanded an explanation from Brook for making a ‘poppadom chin’ jibe.
This came moments after Sky Sports had to issue an apology for a crude Brook remark about ‘gay pornography’.

BETTING SPECIAL – GET KHAN AT HUGE 40/1 OR BROOK AT 30/1 FOR BOXING SHOWDOWN

The Sheffield fighter taunted: “It’s you who is on the gay sites, w***ing yourself off.”
The insult referred to a leaked image that surfaced of Khan allegedly masturbating over a video call in 2017.
A heated Khan then fired back at the former IBF welterweight champ, saying he would ‘put Brook to sleep’ on Saturday night.
The Bolton man said: “He beating he’ll get is like nothing he’s got before.
“All the talking he has done? We will put him in his place.
“Kell has always been obsessed by my career, like a fan-boy.
“I live in his head. I can’t wait to get in the ring and do a job on him.”
Their bitter feud dates back to when they crossed paths as teenagers during an England Boxing training camp in 2004.
They sparred together, and Khan claims: “He took so much of a beating that he was never picked again.
“This is why Kell knows I’ve got one over him.”
Khan ended up being selected for the 2004 Olympic squad not long after his sparring session with Brook, who insists competing in Athens was never his goal.
Now 18 years later they finally get the chance to settle their rivalry once and for all.

He told iFL TV: “I was at the [Amir Khan vs Kell Brook] public workout on Wednesday, asked my manager, ‘Can you get a ticket?’
“Got a call Thursday, ‘I’ve got you a ticket, but you’ve gotta fight Frazer.’”
Many would’ve hesitated to take on Tokyo 2020 bronze medallist Clarke on short notice, but not Darnell.
He continued: “I’m like, ‘Let’s go and have it.’”
He later added: I work with kids in care. I took one of the kids down, he’s just started boxing himself.

Darnell has been tasked with the job of welcoming Burton bruiser Clarke to the professional ranks.
And he’s under no illusions of the size of the job on his hands.

Brook has enjoyed a remarkable rise from his humble beginnings in a council house in Sheffield.
And the man nicknamed Special K has overcome TWO stabbings to keep his boxing dream alive.
In 2014, he earned his crowning glory – defeating Shawn Porter to win the IBF welterweight title.
Outside the ring he has had the loving support of his glamorous wife Lindsey who is always ringside cheering on his beau.
    Background
Brook began boxing when he was just nine at the Ingle Gym in Steel City.
His father took him in an effort to help his lad channel his energy more positively.
The gym, steeped in history thanks to household names Jonny Nelson and Prince Naseem Hamed coming through its doors, proved to be Brook’s safehaven.

    Big dreams

In 2008, he knocked out Barrie Jones and won the vacant British welterweight title.
Then, almost two years later, he swiftly dispatched of Pole Krzysztof Bienias in six rounds.
Brook added to his titles by defeating Matthew Hatton, younger brother of Ricky, by unanimous decision in 2012.
But, away from the ring he was involved in scrapes that could have cut short his sporting achievements.
    Stabbings
Before becoming British champ, Brook suffered a nasty stabbing to his buttocks after an incident in his hometown.
However, worst was to come in 2012 when he was away on holiday in Tenerife.
After befriending punters in a bar, he ended up in an apartment with another man.
Things turned ugly in the early hours after they were drinking – with Brook claiming he was the victim of an unprovoked attack.
The man slashed Brook’s thigh with what was described as a machete three times.
He told the Daily Mail: “This guy was stood over me, shouting and swearing. I am trying to scramble away.
“I was thinking about my daughter, that I need to get away. I was covered in blood, panicking, feeling so drained and weak from the loss of blood. I feared for my life.”

Brook managed to get away, and was found on the street passed out before being rushed to hospital.
His injuries required 32 metal staples, but in truth it could’ve been far worse.
    Crowing glory
Two years after his horror in Spain, Brook would achieve his greatest success.
Fighting at the StubHub Center in Carson, California he became the IBF World Welterweight champion with a majority decision over former champion Shawn Porter – the clear favourite.
Landing 158 of his 441 thrown punches, he outboxed the American to claim the title.
Afterwards, he hilariously revealed he didn’t sleep for three days just to make sure he wasn’t dreaming.
He told The BBC: “I think I’d have to say [the highlight would be] winning the world title.
“Obviously, going to Carson, California, into America – his back garden – and winning the world title.
“I didn’t sleep for three days because I was scared that if I went to sleep I would wake up and it would be a dream. I swear I was walking on air.”

    Hasn’t all been plain-sailing
With 39 wins from 42 fights, Brook has already sealed his legacy in British boxing.
There has been some disappointment along the way, though.
Last time out, he lost out to Terence Crawford for the WBO Welterweight title at the MGM Grand in Las Vegas – who unforgivingly delivered a killer blow to knock his rival out.
Intriguingly, the judges had scored Brook as leading the fight before the TKO.
Gennady Golovkin and Errol Spence Jr are the other two fighters who have managed to get the better of Brook in the ring, with his first loss against Triple G.

But he was praised for showing courage to step up two weight divisions to make the fight.
Still, he needed surgery to fix a broken eye circuit.
    Mrs Brook
Brook is often joined in the ring after fights by his other half, Lindsey.
Although, she prefers to keep her private life away from prying eyes and not much is known about her personally.
Pretty Lindsey, also 35, is mother to Brook’s three children.

Nevaeh was born in 2012 and Estelle was welcomed three years later, months before Brook’s machete attack.
Their third daughter, Vienna born in 2019 is now three.
Should Kell be successful against Khan, you can bet they will all have something to celebrate. More

Tyson Fury says he has set up a JustGiving page to fund Dillian Whyte fight.. and gets ball rolling with 47p donation

TYSON FURY claims he has set up a JustGiving page for Dillian Whyte in a bid to ensure the fight takes place.Whyte is yet to sign his part of the contract to confirm that the WBC title fight is on with claims he wants extra cash to promote it.

And if he fails to put pen to paper by the deadline of February 19 then Fury’s promoter Frank Warren insists the fight will be off.
Earlier this month, Warren won the purse bids to stage the heavyweight showdown – which is set to be broadcast on BT Sport Box Office.
Whyte is entitled to 20 per cent of the purse bid – meaning he will earn a minimum of £6million.
But Fury remains concerned that Whyte may still pull out of the fight – with the Brit challenger keeping quiet about what he plans to do.
And The Gypsy King has tried to antagonise Whyte into signing for the fight by insisting he has set up a JustGiving page to make sure he turns up to the press conference.
In a video posted on his social media accounts, Fury said: “Hi guys, just a quick one.

Fury would head into a clash against Whyte as a strong favourite.
The 6ft 9in giant has not been beaten in his professional career and has held all four world heavyweight title belts at one time or another.
Meanwhile, Whyte has lost to both Anthony Joshua and Alexander Povetkin – with this set to be his first world title fight.
The Body Snatcher has secured impressive victories over the likes of Povetkin, Derek Chisora, Joseph Parker and Oscar Rivas.

The 33-year-old bruiser shared a video on Instagram of him training with his father John in the gym.
And the undefeated boxer suggested that a different approach is likely when he touches gloves with the Villain to show the world how good he really is.
Fury posted: “Great work with poppa bear, pads working out for the bum white [sic].
“Probs gonna do southpaw this fight just to show the world how good I am vs White [sic] feathers.”
Fury and Whyte are expected to face off on April 23 with a venue yet to be confirmed, although the deadline to sign the deal is supposed to be Saturday 19 February.

Amir Khan vs Kell Brook: Five areas where fight will be won as Crolla breaks down pair’s strengths and weaknesses

AMIR KHAN’S strict weight demands could be the key to him ending Kell Brook’s career on Saturday night.Manchester’s former lightweight world champ Anthony Crolla reckons the 149lbs catchweight bout, at his local arena, could have already been won and lost on the scales on Friday morning.
Khan’s clash with Brook takes place on Saturday in ManchesterCredit: PA
And he is not sure Khan’s decision to take his training camp to Colorado – to work with new trainer Brian McIntyre and former foe Terence Crawford – for this career-defining fight is the right move.
The 35-year-old United super-fan broke down the battle for SunSport, with the five key areas the fight will be decided.
    WEIGHT
It is a very clever thing for Khan to control, with both men coming under the 149lb catchweight limit. at 148lb.
I think it could be the biggest deciding factor in the fight and it is only going to weaken Kell.
But I was really impressed by how good Kell looked at the media work-out on Thursday.

BETTING SPECIAL – GET KHAN AT HUGE 40/1 OR BROOK AT 30/1 FOR BOXING SHOWDOWN
Kell has a fantastic nutritionist who told me Khan’s biggest mistake is giving Brook seven months’ notice for this fight so he can do the weight.
Kell will be big when he rehydrates, I saw Canelo do it when he boxed Callum Smith.
On the Friday on the scales I thought Canelo was way too little to beat Callum but by the time the fight started he made Callum look like his little brother.
    MIND
Kell has got to keep his gameplan in check because Amir has played a blinder in the build-up.
Khan’s tongue is sharper than Kell’s so he should not get involved in that stuff.
It’s so important for Kell to stick to his gameplan and not get sucked in.
All these big fights need a great gameplan. These guys have not been hit on the chin in 8oz gloves for a long time so they both need to be clever.
    CHINS
Khan gets called ‘chinny’ but I think that’s crazy, he has been knocked out but almost only by elite fighters like Canelo and Danny Garcia.
Kell’s chin isn’t a problem but both of his eye sockets have been broken and they will be a vulnerability and something for Khan to target.

The careers of both boxers are on the lineCredit: PA
    POWER
Speed gives you power and Khan has the speed. But you can also generate a lot of power with timing and that is Kell’s speciality.
They are two very different types of power that both guys are known for and they can both end a fight inside the distance.
    CORNER
It looks like a great move for Khan to go and train with Crawford and Brian McIntyre but I think it is a massive risk.
Yes, he deserves credit for getting out of his comfort zone, going to train alongside a former opponent and pound-for-pound star.
But you can only gel with a fighter and trainer so much.
If Khan suffers a crisis and has to come back to his corner for advice or guidance or saving, the relationship is not there to know how to handle it.
In a fight this huge you need someone in your corner who knows you inside out, who knows exactly what to say in the heat of battle, when it is all coming on top. That is exactly what Kell has with Dominic Ingle.
There are two ways to look at; it’s great that Khan has gone away from home, gone old-school. But it’s a huge risk because he has absolutely no history with the trainer he is with, for what could be the biggest fight of his career.

Whyte has been awarded just 20 per cent of the purse and the deadline for the contract to be signed is today – Saturday, February 19.
And according to heavyweight champ Fury, Whyte is asking to be paid to turn up to a press conference to promote their potential fight.
He said on Instagram: “I’ve just heard that little sausage Dillian Whyte wants paying to turn up to a press conference.
“You little, silly, fat sausage. You’re getting that (fist). Coward.”
Fury has also set up a Just Giving page so Whyte will turn up to the press conference.
And the generous Gypsy King said he’d put in the first donation of 47p.

BETTING SPECIAL – GET KHAN AT HUGE 40/1 OR BROOK AT 30/1 FOR BOXING SHOWDOWN
He said: “Hi guys, just a quick one. I’m setting up a Just Giving page for Dilian Whyte so he can show up to the press conference and I’m going to donate first.
“My donation is 47p, you useless dosser.”
Should the fight be signed off, Fury says it WILL be in the UK and April 23 is the likely spot on the calendar.
The most likely venue for Fury vs Whyte is reportedly Cardiff or Manchester, but no details are set in stone.
And either Fury or Whyte could be leaving with a special one-off Union Belt.
A WBC statement read: “The World Boxing Council proudly announces the Union Belt.
“This unique belt will be presented as a special trophy to the winner of the highly anticipated fight between WBC Heavyweight Champion Tyson Fury and WBC interim Heavyweight champion Dillian Whyte.
“The Union belt extols special elements to celebrate and commemorate the United Kingdom through boxing.” More
