      But, as a bonafide pay-per-view attraction and the long-time mandatory challenger, he has been pushing for a larger slice of the record-breaking purse.
      It meant 33-year-old Fury, promoter Frank Warren and their BT Sport broadcaster have been held up from being able to announce and start flogging the Wembley war.
      And even though Whyte signed his side of the contract around 2am UK time on Tuesday morning, he is pushing for a cut of the incoming revenue to attend media events that help sell ringside tickets and PPVs
      Fury took to Instagram to growl: “Oh my God, Dillian Whyte signed his contract for $8million [£6m], what a surprise, an absolute idiot.
      “Should this even be a talking point?
      “The man signed for the biggest pay day he’s ever going to get in his life.”

      Whyte’s silence has allowed him to campaign against the WBC – that awarded him only 20 per cent of the mega-money pot – without risking repercussions from criticising them publicly.
      It’s also been suggested that his refusal to comment on the fight or share anything on social media bar videos of his beloved pack of dogs, has been a wise way to wind-up Fury.
      The Gypsy King is a mind games master who thrives on overwhelming his opponents online or on-mic, long before they even meet in the ring.
      But he insists the usually outspoken Whyte’s curveball approach has not ruffled his feathers.
      Rubbing his head, he sarcastically he seethed: “Oh my God, my head hurts from all the mind games that Dillian Whyte’s been playing on me.
      “Oh my God, I’m so sore, I don’t know whether I’m coming or going. My training camp’s a mess.

      Fury then added: “I’m going to absolutely BUST Dillian Whyte in like a cheap f****** water balloon.
      “You’re useless you big dosser, you useless sausage.”
      BT Sport hope to launch their media campaign this week but plans are in place to cope if Whyte refuses to show. More

      The Gypsy King retained his crown by emphatic knockout back in October last year, with unification against then-champ Anthony Joshua eyed up.
      AJ was to ultimately lose his own title defence to Oleksandr Usyk and now the pair are poised to rematch, so Fury’s attention has turned to mandatory challenger Dillian Whyte as he puts his belt on the line once again.

      The 6ft 9in undefeated ace wanted Whyte to accept around £5m to step aside and let him fight Usyk.
      But Whyte’s team have dug in with their man wanting the chance to take Fury’s belts – and have finally got their wish.
      Fury said as the fight was announced: “I’m coming home baby. Get ready for the biggest British dust-up since Lennox Lewis vs Frank Bruno. History in the making.”
      And it was confirmed that Whyte had signed his side of the deal in the early hours of this morning.
      Whyte will earn around £6million for his participation, with Fury set to bank a much meatier £23.5m.

      Fury hasn’t fought in the UK since 2018 when he faced Sefer Seferi in Manchester and then Francesco Pianeta in Belfast.

      Fury, who is worth an estimated £40million and welcomed his six child with wife Paris last year, said: “So, I get asked on a regular basis, why am I in boxing?

      And the former IBF welterweight champ has wasted little time in jetting off for a holiday – flying out to the Canary Islands for some much-needed R&R.
      Brook was the picture of happiness as he posed for a snap with MTK Fuertaventura boss Adam Bailey.
      The 35-year-old former world champ didn’t look as if he’d gone six hard rounds with his bitter rival as his face showed no signs of damage.
      Brook and head coach Dominic Ingle made Fuertaventura their home away from home as they prepared for the long-overdue clash with Khan.
      Special K did an eight-weight training camp in the Canaries, which meant he missed Christmas Day with his family and two of his daughters’ birthdays.
      Brook had to make do with watching his kids open their presents on Zoom as he prepared for the second-biggest fight of his career.
      But the pain of being away from his family was all worth it as he finally closed the book on his rivalry with Khan.
