Dillian Whyte still fears Tyson Fury fight won’t go ahead… and is REFUSING to show for Wembley press conference today

DILLIAN WHYTE won’t attend today’s last-minute ticket launch press conference with WBC champ Tyson Fury – claiming he did not receive a proper invite. The 33-year-old interim champ will not break from his gruelling Portugal training camp to visit Wembley, where the April 23 showdown will take place.

And his lawyer has claimed his big-fight silence is in response to his treatment from rival promoter Frank Warren who won the £30million purse bid and right to hold the fight.
Lawyer and business adviser, Jeffrey Benz told SunSport: “Dillian Whyte would have been more than happy to attend the ticket launch event but was not able to reach agreement with Frank Warren’s Queensberry Promotions on even his very basic requirements which are normal in the sport of boxing.
“But they didn’t even given us notice of where and when this one-sided shindig will occur. It really is incredible.
“We are dealing with dinosaurs here. They bid $41m for a fight but are all over the place. They haven’t even met Dillian’s basic requirements which are entirely usual and nothing out of the ordinary.”
Team Whyte advisor Benz laid out the list of alleged reasons their Sky Sports PPV star will not pose for photos or play ball.
The Los Angeles-based 53-year-old claimed: “Dillian has been given no guarantee or escrow that he will actually get paid for fighting.

“Queensberry haven’t offered him a complimentary ticket allocation as is standard – not even a single ticket for his mother – or any opportunity to buy any for his family, friends or extended team
“They won’t advise on whether and to what extent Fury is subject to anti-doping testing by UKAD or other bodies in the same way that Dillian is regularly tested by both UKAD and VADA.
“They have so far failed to commence enhanced VADA testing as Dillian requested in the signed contract over a week ago.
“They used artwork with a photo of Dillian and didn’t seek his consent or even feature him accurately with his WBC world championship belt.
“And, bizarrely, they won’t even tell him the size of the ring that he will be competing in.”
Queensbury Promotions have denied a number of the claims made by Whyte’s representative.
The promotion is missing out on the huge boost Whyte would bring in view of his track record in big-fight build-ups.
The Brixton ace dragged Anthony Joshua into a thrilling 2015 battle with expert mind games and kept ice cool when Derek Chisora launched a table at his head.
Benz said the silent Body Snatcher even fears Fury will pull out of the fight, he said: “Dillian is chomping at the bit to fight Fury, even though he feels Fury doesn’t want to fight him and fears that he will pull out late in the day with a lame excuse like a broken fingernail or a nettle sting in view of his track record.

“Dillian is keen to fight in spite of the unlawfully low split afforded to him in the purse bid by the WBC, which he is appealing and which will ultimately be subject to a ruling by the Court of Arbitration for Sport, the leading global arbitration body for sports related disputes based in Switzerland.
“Ask yourself, why is he going to interrupt his camp, and risk covid and travel complications, when he has been the number one challenger since 2017 and waited longer than anyone in the history of the sport for his full world title fight?
“With seven-and-a-half weeks to go, the fight is not a long way off now, so there is no need for Dillian to interrupt his camp for one or two days for a ticket launch event, especially when they have the self-proclaimed best heavyweight of all time Tyson Fury pushing the event.
“No doubt it sells out in seconds and that must be why they can’t even spare a single ticket for Dillian’s mum.
“But everything is becoming an obstacle, everything is a diversion tactic or a stumbling block, even the most basic things. There is so little trust and faith over so many matters, they are nickle-and-diming us on everything.
“Fans need to ask why they have put up this big purse but then are scrimping on making the ticket launch event a big success.
“Dillian is disappointed but he has not been dealt with professionally and people should be more concerned with the promoters taking this fight seriously and delivering a fan experience that the fee paying fans deserve.”
He added: “It is naiive of the promoters not to make real efforts to involve Dillian fully in the build-up.
“Dillian is obviously disappointed and will focus his energies on fight night.
“But if the promotion flops, I don’t want to hear any whinging from the Fury and Warren camps as they are over 21 and have been warned that you can only make so much noise clapping with just one hand.” More

He has no doubts who he thinks should have been walking away with the WBA, WBC, IBF and WBO light-welterweight world titles – and it is not champ Taylor.
Joshua said: “I’m not a judge, but sometimes I feel the fans judge fights themselves and it’s clear to see who wins, who loses.
“When the majority are swaying one way, it’s important to listen.
“But what will be done about it? Who knows.”
Catterall boxed the perfect fight for 12 rounds in Taylor’s backyard, even dropping his opponent in the eighth round.
However, his celebrations quickly turned to devastation following the final bell.

Just one of the three judges gave the Chorley man the win with Ian John-Lewis inexplicably scoring it 114-111 to the Tartan Tornado.
Those results led to a furious outcry from British boxing while Catterall hit out at the robbery.
He said: “What a load of s***!”
The 28-year-old later asked Taylor: “When you dropping my belts off? This boxing game is a f***ing disaster.”
The sickening decision is now being investigated.
The British Boxing Board of Control will ask the three ringside judges who decided the controversial outcome to explain their cards at a behind-closed-doors meeting.

And The Maverick is still seething that the mega-rich Moneyman hasn’t stumped up all of the cash.
During an appearance on The MMA Hour, he said: “I’ve not been paid in full, that is a fact. We’re just trying to collect what is rightfully ours.
“He came out and said this is the name of the game, this is how it works in boxing but I don’t know if it is, I don’t know if that’s true.
“I think after you fight you should get paid, it doesn’t take this long to count the money.
“I don’t know [how much it is] but I know it’s not everything. It’s large enough for me to make a fuss about.
‘For the longest time, I bit my f***ing tongue. We heard it every week, ‘The money’s coming next week, the money’s coming next week’.

‘It feels unfair and i just want to make things right.”
Mayweather, 45, recently claimed Paul’s delayed purse was par for the course.
During an appearance on The Pivot Podcast, he said: “This comes with the territory.
“To them, that’s real money, and I like the YouTubers. The money on the back end though, from pay-per-view, that takes a while. Nothing comes right away.
“I’m still collecting cheques from fights seven or eight years ago.
“They just hate when the table is turned. Be happy with the biggest payday you ever got in your life.”

Neither man has set foot inside the ring since their exhibition, which went the distance.
Former five-weight world champ Mayweather was recently linked with another exhibition with Dubai-based YouTuber Money Kicks but the bout didn’t come to fruition.
Paul, meanwhile is set to make his WWE debut at Wrestlemania 38 in a Tag Team match against Rey and Dominik Mysterio.

He wrote on Instagram: “I have taken a few days for some well-earnt time with my family after not seeing them for a few months.

“He rose to the occasion and fought a valiant fight. However, I believe I won a very close fight.
“Many fans believe Jack deserved the decision, and that’s fine.
“We both went in there and fought our guts out for 12 rounds… but the personal attacks on myself and especially my family are disgusting and uncalled for.”

Tyson Fury vs Dillian Whyte could have NO British judges after insane scorecards for Josh Taylor’s win over Catterall

TYSON FURY’S grudge match with Dillian Whyte won’t be scored by British judges, if promoter Frank Warren get his way.Judging from British officials is once again back under the microscope following Josh Taylor’s controversial split-decision victory over Jack Catterall last weekend.

Two of the three ringside judges scored the fight for the Tartan Tornado – despite him being outboxed in the early rounds and dropped in the eighth.
Warren was sickened by the scorecards turned in by Ian John-Lewis and Victor Loughlin, so much so he wants foreign judges to score Fury and Whyte’s Battle of Britain in April.
He roared: “This has to stop. It was terrible for Jack and is killing the credibility of boxing.
“If they were football referees they would be downgraded but what happens – they move on to the next show without any accountability.
“I do not want British officials for Fury-Whyte.”
The British Boxing Board of Control has confirmed they will launch an investigation into Taylor’s first defence of his four light-welterweight titles.

He said: “As our governing body, stop this chummy jobs for the boys and do something for the sake of our sport, the Jack Catteralls, and downgrade these incompetent officials.”
A heart-broken Catterall licked his wounds on social media just hours after his dreams of becoming undisputed light-welterweight champion were crushed.
But Taylor fronted the media to claim he deserved to retain his belts, saying: “I thought I’d done enough – 100 per cent.
“I started slow as I tried to get my timing.
“I caught him with the bigger shots. He tried to spoil, he leaned in a lot and there was a clash of heads.
“I’m not going to lie, he caught me with a couple of good shots.
“It wasn’t my best performance. I put a hell of a lot of pressure on myself this week with the homecoming and my first fight here in three years.

“I just put too much pressure on myself to put on a good show but it didn’t matter in the end. I got the result. It was close.
“I allowed him a bit of success by loading up but I landed the more meaningful shots.
“He put up a good fight but he knows he didn’t win the fight. I took over in the second half.”

Klitschko brothers on Putin’s Ukraine ‘kill list’ as 400 mercenaries ‘flown in from Africa to hunt 24 targets’

THE KLITSCHKO brothers have reportedly both been put on a Russian “kill list” of senior Ukrainians the Kremlin wants dead amid Vladimir Putin’s invasion.Hundreds of highly-trained mercenaries, including the deadly private militia the Wagner Group, have been sent to Kyiv to assassinate Ukraine’s President Zelenskyy and decapitate his government.

Former boxing world heavyweight champions Wladimir and Vitali Klitschko have taken up arms to defend their country against Russia’s onslaught.
Vitali, the mayor of Ukraine’s capital Kyiv, told Good Morning Britain he “will be fighting” after Russia declared war on its neighbour, and said his people were ready to “defend our city”.
Last week, Wladimir issued a desperate video plea to other countries to help halt the invasion.
The Times reports that more than 400 Russian mercenaries are operating in Kyiv, with orders from the Kremlin to assassinate President Volodymyr Zelenskyy and prepare the ground for a new pro-Russian puppet government.
A private militia run by one of Putin’s closest allies, the Wagner Group, flew in a number of mercenaries from Africa over a month ago, on a mission to take out Ukraine’s government in return for a fee.
Kyiv found out about the plot on Saturday, hours before the city government declared a 36-hour “hard” curfew to sweep the city for Russian agents.
Civilians were warned they risked being “liquidated” if they stepped outside as they would be seen as Kremlin saboteurs.
A source claims between 2,000 and 4,000 mercenaries arrived in Ukraine in January, with many deployed to the disputed regions of Donetsk and Luhansk, whose independence Putin recognised last week, sparking conflict.

The mercenaries have reportedly been told to hold off while Putin shows the world he is negotiating with Zelenskyy, but when talks fail, they are to begin their mission, according to a source close to the Wagner Group.
They have also been preparing the ground for an invasion by helping to guide Russian columns to Kyiv as well as planning assassinations to destroy Ukraine’s government.
Wagner is a private military company with close links to the Kremlin. It is owned by Russian oligarch Yevgeny Prigozhin, known as Putin’s chef.
They have a previous history of covert operations on behalf of the Russian state across Africa and the Middle East and were also used during Russia’s last military incursion into Ukraine in 2014.
The UN claims the Wagner Group committed war crimes in the Central African Republic, including killing kids, raping and torturing women, and executing men in mosques.
Mercenaries were alleged to have executed three young men inside the Al-Taqwa mosque in the town of Bambari as part of a savage attack in February 2021.
They can appear from the shadows, do very violent things and then disappear again, without it being obvious who was responsibleSir Richard BarronsFormer commander, Joint Forces Command
The group’s links to Putin go back years, and Russia’s president has been pictured at Kremlin functions with Wagner troops, including lieutenant colonel Dmitry Utkin, who is believed to have founded the group.
In 2020, investigative news site Bellingcat uncovered that Wagner’s alleged boss Prigozhin made 99 calls to Putin’s chief of staff in eight months and regularly spoke with top Kremlin officials.
But Moscow has insisted it has no influence over Wagner and says Prigozhin only provides the Russian government with catering services.
Sir Richard Barrons, former commander of Joint Forces Command, told The Times: “They are very effective because they are hard to pin down.
“They can appear from the shadows, do very violent things and then disappear again, without it being obvious who was responsible. They are not directly linked to the Russian government and therefore they are plausibly deniable.”
Some claim the Wagner Group were briefed about a Ukrainian invasion as far back as December, long before the regular Russian army were told.

For now, Putin’s private army is awaiting instructions from the Kremlin, having been promised hefty bonuses and safe passage out of Ukraine in return for the killings.
Their “kill list” of 24 includes President Zelenskyy, Vitali and Wladimir Klitschko, and a number of senior Ukrainian officials.
Last week, Zelenskyy claimed he was Russia’s “target No 1” while his family were “target No 2” for the Russians.
But he insisted he would stay in Kyiv and, when offered the chance to flee by the Americans, reportedly replied: “I need ammunition, not a ride.”
Both the Klitschko brothers, already heroes in their home country due to their sporting prowess, have become iconic figures as they pledge to fight on the front lines in Kyiv, making them major targets for pro-Russian militias.
Among the pro-Russian militia fighting in Ukraine are the Chechen special forces known as “hunters”, commanded by Chechnya’s leader and Putin ally Ramzan Kadyrov.
But at the weekend, it was reported Ukrainian troops had destroyed a convoy of Chechen tanks, killing their top general, Magomed Tushaev.
The Klitschko brothers are far from the only Ukrainian sporting figures who have taken up arms for their country.
London Olympic champion Oleksandr Usyk has been pictured holding a machine gun as he heads to the frontline, putting his rematch against Anthony Joshua in doubt.
The 35-year-old dad-of-three joined his best friend and two-time Olympic champion Vasiliy Lomachenko on the battlefield, after earlier pleading with Putin to stop the war in a series of emotional videos. More
