The first presser for the mouthwatering scrap took place at the national stadium today – but with one notable exception.
Whyte, 33, has chosen not break from his gruelling Portugal training camp to be at today’s event.
And his lawyer has claimed his big-fight silence is in response to his treatment from rival promoter Warren, who won the £30million purse bid and right to hold the fight.
But Warren has slammed the Brixton brawler’s actions, describing his behaviour as ‘madness’.
Warren said: “I don’t want to bore everybody, the WBC made the fight, we went to purse bids and won.
“We fulfilled criteria, which we did, he signed a contract last minute and now he is trying to renegotiate, we had a period to agree terms.

“They didn’t even want us to use his photo on a poster, I have never heard anything like it.
“I have never heard of a fighter not turning up for a presser this big. He is getting eight times more than Tyson did versus Klitschko.
“It’s disgraceful and not professional to not show up, Tyson would have done it, he has done it in the past. It is madness.”
Lawyer and business adviser, Jeffrey Benz recently told SunSport: “Dillian Whyte would have been more than happy to attend the ticket launch event but was not able to reach agreement with Frank Warren’s Queensberry Promotions on even his very basic requirements which are normal in the sport of boxing.
“But they didn’t even given us notice of where and when this one-sided shindig will occur. It really is incredible.
“We are dealing with dinosaurs here. They bid $41m for a fight but are all over the place. They haven’t even met Dillian’s basic requirements which are entirely usual and nothing out of the ordinary.”

‘I could be me chinned’ – Tyson Fury details two areas Dillian Whyte could KO him from ahead of Wembley showdown

TYSON FURY admitted Dillian Whyte has the power to chin him at Wembley – but backs his Lancaster bombers to get there first. Whyte was a no-show at their first pre-fight press conference to promote the April 23 all-British WBC title fight.

But Fury, smartly dressed as ever in a suave suit, did enough talking for the both of them, promising a knockout either way.
He said: “I know Dillian Whyte’s going to come in prepared, he’s going to come in rugged and rough and game and aggressive.
“And he’s got a big left hook a big right hand and who knows? It could be me chinned on the night.
“I think both fighters are going for the knockout in this fight and I just think when I land a Lancaster bomber on his jaw, it’s going to be over.
“That could be in round one and it could be in round six. I don’t see it going past them, Frank.
“But I’m looking to put on an excellent night, showcase of knockout boxing for the UK fans and then sing a load of song afterwards.”

Fury, 33, is eyeing the undisputed crown but first needs to dispatch of mandatory challenger Whyte, 33.
The other side of the equation will be determined after the rematch between Anthony Joshua, 32, and Oleksandr Usyk, 35.
But Fury is botherless who he faces now or ever, adamant he will reign as heavyweight king regardless.
He boasted: “I’m not concerned because it’s the Fury roadshow and he next stop is London, the United Kingdom.
“Its never about the opponent, whether it’s his [Whyte’s] face on there or someone else’s. It’s really unimportant.
“He’s ugly anyway, take him down, we should take him down, Frank. This is about this man over here [himself] and celebrating his legacy and his boxing career.
“Celebrating it on the biggest stage the world can get really. It doesn’t matter if it’s Dillian Whyte, doesn’t matter if it’s Joe Joyce, Derek Chisora, Anthony Joshua, Usyk.
“It doesn’t matter where it stops next, it will always be the Tyson Fury roadshow.”

The Gypsy King is a huge favourite to retain his title as well as his undefeated record as a professional.
But Iron Mike believes Whyte has a puncher’s chance of upsetting the odds and winning his first ever world title.
Speaking on the Club Shay Shay YouTube channel when asked how to beat Fury, the 55-year-old explained: “That would be tough, but there were guys that dropped him that were lighter than me.
Then, referencing Steve Cunningham, Tyson continued: “Who was the gentleman that dropped him? The former cruiserweight champ?
“He’s not a harder puncher than I am – I’m able to hurt the big guys.
“I’ll try my best and do whatever ever I know how to do. Go in with your jab. He has to go all out for 12 rounds with him.

“He [Whyte] can’t give him no room to punch, he has to go all out for 12 rounds.
“He can’t give him no time by moving around, can’t allow him to think. He allows Tyson Fury to think a lot, he gives him a lot of time.”
Whyte will earn around £6million for his participation, with Fury set to bank a much meatier £23.5m.
But if the Brixton banger manages to spring a huge shock and beat Fury, he will pocket an extra £3m.
    WHYTE MISSES PRESSER
Whyte has failed to attend the first press conference, refusing to break his training camp in Portugal.
And his lawyer has claimed his big-fight silence is in response to his treatment from rival promoter Warren, who won the £30million purse bid and right to hold the fight.
Lawyer and business adviser, Jeffrey Benz told SunSport: “Dillian Whyte would have been more than happy to attend the ticket launch event but was not able to reach agreement with Frank Warren’s Queensberry Promotions on even his very basic requirements which are normal in the sport of boxing.

But veteran promoter Warren has now hit back at the claims and insists Whyte was told about the event last week – and even offered a private jet to get there. More

    Wladimir Klitschko
Wladimir, 45, reigned as heavyweight king for nine years before losing his crown to Tyson Fury, 33, in a 2015 upset.
He would return two years later in defeat to Anthony Joshua, 32, and announce his retirement soon after, snubbing a Las Vegas rematch.
Wladimir, dad to seven-year-old Kaya Evdokia, has refused a boxing comeback in recent years and also pledged to fight on the frontline.
He enlisted in Ukraine’s reserve army in early February and has publicly pleaded with Russia to end the war.

    Vasiliy Lomachenko
The masterful southpaw, 34, is one of the greatest amateur boxers of all time, leaving the unpaid ranks with a record of 396-1 and two Olympic gold medals.
It saw him fast tracked as a professional like never seen before and Lomachenko, who is married to Olena with two kids, became a three-division champ in just 12 fights.
He was beaten by Teofimo Lopez in 2020, but has won twice since and is now targeting a fight with new unified lightweight champ George Kambosos Jr.
But with talks for his return stalling, Loma was last seen holding a M16 with Ukrainian media reporting he had joined the Belgorod-Dniester Terror Defence Battalion.

    Oleksandr Usyk
Usyk, who won gold at the 2012 Olympics, is a former undisputed cruiserweight king and current three-belt heavyweight owner.
He beat Joshua in September and they are contracted to an immediate rematch this year – although it remains in doubt.
Usyk, 35, had been in London last month to hold talks with AJ’s promoter to decide a date and venue for their rematch.
But now, the fearless unbeaten father-of three, who married partner Yekaterina in 2009, has enlisted with the Kyiv Territorial Defence.

He most recently knocked out ex-UFC champion Tyron Woodley, leaving his next opponent up in the air.
Older brother Logan, 26, said on the MMA Hour: “I’d love to see him fight Nate Diaz then eventually Conor McGregor.
“I think that would be such a cool fight, man.”
Paul has also knocked out the likes of online rival ‘AnEsonGib’, ex-NBA player Nate Robinson, 37, and retired UFC welterweight Ben Askren, 37.
He first beat Woodley, 39, on points in August and then signed to fight Tommy Fury, 22, until the Brit pulled out with a broken rib.
So in December, Woodley filled in on late notice only to be brutally knocked out in round six of the short-notice rematch.

Logan has been ringside watching the journey up close and personal, left motivated by his brother’s polarising splash in the sport.
He said: “I remember a time not that long ago, maybe like two and a half years ago, I’m ashamed to say this because I’m his brother and I love him, but I had chalked him up to the game.
“His attitude or he’s going about this the wrong way. He was just being a f***ing punk about his brand and his persona.
“Then he put in the work and the work led to results and led to actual action.
“And so I realised that I’m done doubting Jake Paul forever. Anything the kid says now I’m like, ‘Well, I’ve seen him do it before’.
“I get so inspired by him now. He truly is like an example of making it out of the mud, man.
“He’s definitely exceeded my expectations along with everyone’s, I assume.”

‘Corruption and incompetence’ – Bradley Skeete retires from boxing aged 34 after watching Catterall ‘robbed’ vs Taylor

BRADLEY SKEETE has announced his retirement aged 34 after watching Jack Catterall get ‘robbed’ against Josh Taylor. The boxing world fumed after Catterall, 28, was controversially beaten by Taylor, 31, via split-decision in Scotland.
Bradley Skeete has announced his retirement aged 34Credit: Richard Pelham / The Sun
Uproar has led to an official investigation by the British Boxing Board of Control, it was confirmed.
Similarly, the BBoBC reviewed Skeete’s recent loss in December to Hamzah Sheeraz, who landed THREE punches while the Londoner was downed.
Skeete was later stopped but Sheeraz, 22, should have been disqualified by referee Steve Gray.
The BBoBC spoke with Gray and accepted his decision not to DQ Sheeraz – instead offering support to order a rematch.
In light of Catterall’s heartbreaking loss to Taylor, Skeete has decided to hang up his gloves.
He posted on Instagram: “After watching last nights fight and seeing the shocking decision against Jack Catterall I’m glad I’ve made the decision to walk away from boxing.

“From top to bottom it’s corruption and incompetence at its finest!
“It’s not the first and definitely won’t be the last time a fighter is blatantly cheated and robbed and nothing will be done about it!
“No doubt the BBBofC will look at it and just sweep it under the carpet as usual!
“The sport is becoming a joke it’s embarrassing! On that note I’m out. Thanks but no thanks.”
Catterall called himself the ‘Uncrowned King’ in a social media post as he reflected on his first career defeat.
He wrote: “Nothing will ever change how I feel about Saturday. I won that fight. I came to the champions country and gave him a lesson.
“The decision doesn’t sit well with me and i don’t think it ever will. They stole a moment in my life il never get back.
“I stand with everyone and agree big changes need to be made, the corruption in the sport we all love is so damaging.
“The support I’ve received since has been overwhelming and for that I thank you all. Uncrowned King.”

Paul, 26, was recently captured hitting a heavy bag for the first time since his fight with Floyd Mayweather, 44.
The YouTube star took Money the distance in June’s eight-round exhibition bout.

He said: “I know it sounds f***ing absurd but dude, I’m 26-years-old and I haven’t even been in LA or had the chance to mature my adult life for a decade.
“I’ve been learning, experiencing and absorbing knowledge for the past eight years ever since I moved to LA.
“I’m 26 and I’ll be eligible to run for president when I’m 35, so that gives me nine more years to become the best version of myself possible and to learn as much as I can about people, culture, society, where we fall short and where we are strong.
“I just think I’ll be a good leader one day and I think the presidential spot needs a fresh take.
“I think the country could use a person who is a little bit more nuanced, more innovative and authentic because I think a lot of politicians fall short.
“Personally I have trouble watching because I know that you are reading off a teleprompter and this speech was written for you by a campaign manager and I’m not like that.”
Paul added: “Part of the biggest blessing about this brand that I’ve built is that you either love or hate me for exactly who I am – there’s no smoke or mirrors.
The YouRuber turned boxer has outlined why he would make a good candidateCredit: Getty Images
“I’m me, Logan, and you accept that as truth or deny and ignore me, which is completely fine either way.
“I think there’s a lot of power in being authentic and I think it’s a possibility and something that I could see myself wanting to do at that age.
“Who knows, it might happen and I’ve got big goals and I’ve said crazier s***.
“If I was 18 and said I want to fight Floyd Mayweather then I’d have been laughed at and ridiculed. I just don’t feel like anything is impossible.”
Paul has fought three times since beginning his boxing career, starting with a 2018 white collar bout against Brit rival KSI, 28.
It ended in a draw, before the pair turned pro a year later with KSI winning via scrappy split-decision.
Paul only returned last June but did so in a shock exhibition against boxing legend Floyd Mayweather.
And after eight rounds, Mayweather was unable to score a knockout victory, meaning it technically ended without a winner. More

Dillian Whyte in bitter row with Tyson Fury’s ‘dinosaur’ promoter Frank Warren as he refuses to attend fight launch

DILLIAN WHYTE is in a bitter row with Tyson Fury’s promoter Frank Warren over today’s ticket launch press conference – with the challenger claiming he did not receive a proper invite.Whyte, 33, will not break from his gruelling Portugal training camp to be at today’s event at Wembley, where the April 23 showdown will take place.

He claims he has not received a proper invite to promote ticket sales for his fight with Tyson Fury
But veteran promoter Warren has now hit back at the claims and insists Whyte was told about the event last week – and even offered a private jet to get there.
A statemement from his Queensberry Promotions read: “Tyson Fury will be at Wembley today, Dillian Whyte will not, despite being notified of the date last week and before the official announcement was made on Friday.
“Dillian has contractual obligations that include co-operation in respect of the promotion of the fight.

“Dillian seems to have a raft of excuses for not turning up today, none of which hold water in circumstances where the parties have their rights and obligations defined by the contract Dillan has signed.
“For the record, Queensberry offered to fly Dillian and his team by private jet to London today so he could make the press conference, an offer they refused and that we were not obliged to make.
“We also offered to meet with his advisor to discuss matters including ticket requests, but it seems they’re more interested in influencing public opinion than fulfilling what we say are contractual obligations and giving fans the chance to see him and Tyson face off today.”
Whyte’s team deny this claim that they were offered the chance for talks – and say the offer was revoked at the last minute.
Team Whyte advisor Benz had earlier laid out the list of alleged reasons their Sky Sports PPV star will not pose for photos or play ball.
The Los Angeles-based 53-year-old claimed: “Dillian has been given no guarantee or escrow that he will actually get paid for fighting.

“Queensberry haven’t offered him a complimentary ticket allocation as is standard – not even a single ticket for his mother – or any opportunity to buy any for his family, friends or extended team
“They won’t advise on whether and to what extent Fury is subject to anti-doping testing by UKAD or other bodies in the same way that Dillian is regularly tested by both UKAD and VADA.
“They have so far failed to commence enhanced VADA testing as Dillian requested in the signed contract over a week ago.
“They used artwork with a photo of Dillian and didn’t seek his consent or even feature him accurately with his WBC world championship belt.
“And, bizarrely, they won’t even tell him the size of the ring that he will be competing in.”

Queensbury Promotions are now missing out on the huge boost Whyte would bring in view of his track record in big-fight build-ups.
The Brixton ace dragged Anthony Joshua into a thrilling 2015 battle with expert mind games and kept ice cool when Derek Chisora launched a table at his head.
Benz said the silent Body Snatcher even fears Fury will pull out of the fight.
He added: “Dillian is chomping at the bit to fight Fury, even though he feels Fury doesn’t want to fight him and fears that he will pull out late in the day with a lame excuse like a broken fingernail or a nettle sting in view of his track record.

“Dillian is keen to fight in spite of the unlawfully low split afforded to him in the purse bid by the WBC, which he is appealing and which will ultimately be subject to a ruling by the Court of Arbitration for Sport, the leading global arbitration body for sports related disputes based in Switzerland.
“Ask yourself, why is he going to interrupt his camp, and risk covid and travel complications, when he has been the number one challenger since 2017 and waited longer than anyone in the history of the sport for his full world title fight?
“With seven-and-a-half weeks to go, the fight is not a long way off now, so there is no need for Dillian to interrupt his camp for one or two days for a ticket launch event, especially when they have the self-proclaimed best heavyweight of all time Tyson Fury pushing the event.
“No doubt it sells out in seconds and that must be why they can’t even spare a single ticket for Dillian’s mum.
“But everything is becoming an obstacle, everything is a diversion tactic or a stumbling block, even the most basic things. There is so little trust and faith over so many matters, they are nickle-and-diming us on everything.
“Fans need to ask why they have put up this big purse but then are scrimping on making the ticket launch event a big success.
“Dillian is disappointed but he has not been dealt with professionally and people should be more concerned with the promoters taking this fight seriously and delivering a fan experience that the fee paying fans deserve.”
He added: “It is naiive of the promoters not to make real efforts to involve Dillian fully in the build-up.
“Dillian is obviously disappointed and will focus his energies on fight night.
“But if the promotion flops, I don’t want to hear any whinging from the Fury and Warren camps as they are over 21 and have been warned that you can only make so much noise clapping with just one hand.” More
