A celeb boxing match ended in utter chaos after a YouTuber headbutted his opponent
Ryan Taylor landed the blow on rival ‘DK Money’

The likes of Anthony Joshua and Derek Chisora were in attendance but even Del Boy would have been shocked with what happened next.
A grudge match between Britain’s Ryan Taylor and American Instagram personality ‘DK Money’ ended in carnage.
Just moments into the bout, Taylor grappled with DK Money and then proceeded to brutally headbutt his rival.
DK Money was left floored while Taylor was sent to his corner, with fans and commentators alike stunned.
Taylor was instantly disqualified in disgrace and rushed out of the arena as the fight was slammed online.
Even Joe Weller – providing commentary – admitted AJ must be ’embarrassed’ to have watched that.

Canelo Alvarez open to crossover fight with UFC superstar Kamaru Usman in September with £75m purse

CANELO ALVAREZ refused to rule out a crossover fight with Kamaru Usman – but UFC champion wants £75million. Usman has long called out the Mexican boxing superstar, who is the current undisputed super-middleweight king.

Canelo puts money as the only motivation for the callout – but has at least left the door open for talks.
He said on the MMA Hour: “Maybe. Why not? You never say no. My trainer told me about it and I said, ‘Well, if you say.’”
Canelo, 31, added: “It’s not really on my mind. I want a really good legacy for my career and we can talk about other things later.”
UFC legend Conor McGregor, 33, in 2017 was given permission to fight boxing icon Floyd Mayweather, 45, but lost in ten rounds.
Usman, welterweight UFC champ since 2019, eyes a similar bout with Canelo, after returning to the octagon in the summer.
He told told TMZ Sports: “In 2022, I’m gonna shock the world. July, International Fight Week, I’m gonna fight Leon Edwards.
“God willing I get through Leon Edwards, September, Mexican Independence Day, I will stop Canelo Alvarez.”

“And that’s the thing that a lot of people fail to realise.
A lot of people, because they think they can’t do something, they try to put that upon you. ‘Oh, you can’t do that. It can’t be done.’
“Everything can’t be done until it’s done. So a lot of people are gonna say, ‘You can’t do it.
“No, he’s too good, he’s too skilled, too strong.’ Yeah, they said that about Tyron Woodley.
Maybe. Why not? You never say no. My trainer told me about it and I said, ‘Well, if you say.’Canelo Alvarez on Kamaru Usman
“He’s too big, he’s got knockout power, he’s fast, he’s explosive. What happened?
“I told him I was gonna dominate him for five rounds and I did that. I’m not gonna step in there if I don’t think I can get it done.”
Usman, 34,says it will take a £75m ($100m) purse to fight Canelo, boxing’s highest-paid fighter.
He said: “He’s walking around saying payday, payday – absolutely. It’s the biggest payday you are ever gonna make.
“I understand that he gets paid, he makes money.
“But fighting me is the biggest payday he’s ever gonna make. We talking nine figures, for sure.”

Josh Taylor’s promoter Bob Arum admits Scottish star was ‘terrible’ against Jack Catterall… but still thinks champ won

LEGENDARY promoter Bob Arum admitted Josh Taylor was ‘terrible’ against Jack Catterall – but still believes he won. Taylor himself admitted he was not at the races when he defended his undisputed light-welterweight crown in a Scottish homecoming.

But unlike his and promoter Arum’s verdict, the boxing public disagreed and felt Catterall, 28, was robbed of the four world titles.
Taylor, 31, secured his status as unified king by beating Jose Ramirez, 29, last May – a performance he failed to replicate in Glasgow.
Arum told BoxingScene: “He was terrible.
“It’s the worst I’ve seen him perform, and I’ve watched most of his fights over the last couple of years.
“He certainly didn’t look like the guy who beat Ramirez.”
The split-decision verdict has been officially investigated by the British Boxing Board of Control following the uproar.

But 90-year-old Hall of Famer Arum – in his EIGHTH decade of the sport – backed the controversial result.
He said: “I don’t think it was a very good fight. I don’t know what people are talking about.
“I had Taylor winning by maybe a couple points.”
Sadly for Catterall, Taylor appears ready to move up to welterweight, denying a rematch for the 140lb titles.
Arum said: “I talked to him. We’re gonna evaluate him with a nutritionist and determine what he should do.
“So, again, emotionally he said [he must move up]. And he said he had a nutritionist for this fight, but who knows how qualified the nutritionist was?
“And we’ll get into that in the weeks ahead.”

‘Out of the equation’ – Conor Benn claims Kell Brook wants £10MILLION to fight as Brit star rules out summer clash

CONOR BENN claimed Kell Brook has demanded £10MILLION to fight – as he ruled out a summer blockbuster between the two. Benn’s promoter Eddie Hearn revealed he sent a ‘significant offer’ to Brook as he eyed a June all-English showdown.

But the son of British boxing legend Nigel looks to have shot down the fight – at least for now.
Benn, 25, said on Instagram: “Fight news should be dropping soon, very soon. And it ain’t Kell Brook because ten mil’s out of the equation.”
Brook, 35, finally ended his near-two decade rivalry with Amir Khan, also 35, with a six-round domination in February.
It has seen his stock rise once more, with middleweight Chris Eubank Jr, 32, also calling him out for a grudge match.
But Khan does have a rematch clause in his contract, which Hearn suggested the former champion is looking to invoke.
It would mean any opponent wanting to fight Brook would need to pay Khan a fee to forfeit his right to an immediate rematch.

Hearn told iFL TV: “I’ve heard actually that Amir Khan is gonna invoke the rematch clause, bizarrely.
“People have been contacting us and saying, ‘Would you like to pay us step aside to not invoke the rematch clause?’
“So, no, you’re alright, thanks. You go and do Khan-Brook 2 and we’ll crack on.”
Benn is instead set to return on April 16 with South African Chris van Heerden, 34, in talks as the opponent.
Hearn has urged the rising welterweight prospect to remain patient, with super-fights sure to come.
He said: “I’ve said to Conor Benn the other day, ‘You, my friend, are a young superstar.
“Don’t worry about basing your career around someone else, don’t worry about waiting, trying to land this payday.
Fight news should be dropping soon, very soon. And it ain’t Kell Brook because ten mil’s out of the equation.Conor Benn
“Everything’s gonna come for you.’ So we crack on with our career, his next fight will be announced for April 16th and we’ll be ready for a huge show for Conor Benn.”
Hearn also said he offered Brook more than he made to fight Khan – but was countered with triple the initial sum.
The promoter claimed: “I basically offered more than they got to fight Amir Khan, and that’s the bigger fight — well maybe — to fight Conor Benn.
“So, look, they asked for over three times what I offered them.
“So for me it said, ‘We don’t really want to fight again but if someone pays us mad money we’ll consider it.’
“But we can’t wait around for Kell Brook, we’re just gonna get on and like I said, we’ll carry on talking.
“Hopefully we can get that fight made but right now just focus on the career of Conor Benn and keep him moving the right direction.”

KSI’s brother Deji wants rematch with Jake Paul but vows to first turn pro and ‘smack up’ some UFC fighters

YOUTUBE star Deji wants to rematch Jake Paul – but vowed to first turn professional and ‘smack up’ some UFC fighters. The Londoner – famously known as the brother to KSI – boxed American Paul in a 2018 exhibition.

It ended in defeat for Deji, 25, and when he returned to the ring last June, he was beaten in a similar celebrity bout against TikToker Vinnie Hacker, 19.
The former gamer is braced to make his boxing comeback against rival Alex Wassabi, 31, and wants to earn a shot at revenge against Paul, 25.
He told iFL TV: “One hundred per cent, but I need to have a few more fights on my portfolio, because he’s not going to accept me straight away.
“And I also need to go pro as well. And I need to smack up a few UFC fighters too.”
Despite Deji struggling to get his boxing career back on track, Paul has gone from strength to strength.
He is currently 5-0, beating online rival ‘AsEsonGib’, ex-NBA player Nate Robinson, retired MMA fighter Ben Askren, 37, and ex-UFC champion Tyron Woodley, 39, twice.

At one point Paul was lined up to face KSI, 28, after the Brit drew against his brother Logan, 26, but won their rematch a year later.
But the rapper has since become a worldwide recording artist – shelving any plans to fight again.
Deji has not ruled out KSI returning to finally face Paul, but fears his other career avenues could stand in the way of the grudge match.
He said: “I would love him to but right now he’s killing it in literally every department.
“So, he’s a busy guy, he doesn’t need boxing. He kind of just did it, but he doesn’t really need it.
“I would love it if he did get back into boxing – you never know – he could because he’s full of surprises. Anything’s possible.”

I’m a fully-fledged fighting man – Tommy Fury denies he’s ‘YouTube boxer’ and blasts Jake Paul’s ‘ludicrous’ claims

TOMMY FURY has denied being a ‘YouTube boxer’ – instead describing himself as ‘a fully-fledged fighting man’. Fury, brother to legendary British heavyweight Tyson, is 7-0 as a boxer but shot to widespread fame for his stint on Love Island in 2019.

His profile was also set to skyrocket further when he signed to face social media sensation Jake Paul.
But Fury, 22, was forced to pull out after suffering a broken rib and bacterial chest infection.
Paul, 25, accused his rival of faking the injury to avoid risking his reputation in the all-celebrity bout.
So Fury hit back to deny the claim and insisted he will push ahead with his boxing career – with or without fighting the American.
He told EsNEWS: “I think it’s ludicrous, I think he’s using my injury as a play point like, ‘He didn’t want the fight’. When really, it was a genuine injury.
“I broke a rib and had a major, major chest infection and I just wan’t fit to fight, professionals cleared me as not fit to fight.

“So if he wants to go and fight another MMA kid in Ohio somewhere, let him crack on. But I know we’re onto bigger and better things.”
Fury would have been Paul’s first opponent with a professional boxing record.
The 5-0 internet personality has so far only beaten a YouTuber, NBA player and two former UFC fighters.
Fury still hopes to reschedule the grudge match and believes a statement win on brother Tyson’s undercard on April 23 could do the trick.

He said: “That fight I look to see at the end of the year.
“My plan is to get a good win on this undercard. At the end of the day, Jake Paul knows where it’s at.
“We’re onto bigger and better things, I don’t know what Jake Paul’s doing, but we’ve just done 100,000 at Wembley.

But Usman, 34, now insists that he has his sights set on bigger things.
Asked by a fan if he’d consider facing Paul, Usman insisted that if he was going to switch to boxing, he’d only do it for a ‘real fighter’.
He said: “What? Boo this man one time.
“Listen, listen, if we’re going to fight, we’re going to fight a real fight.
“I’m going to answer your question, if we’re going to fight, we’re going to fight a real fighter. A real fighter.”
When talk of a potential bout between Paul and Usman was raised last year, the Nigerian ominously tweeted: “I understand you think this is a game which is probably why you don’t realise that this is how people truly get hurt.”

Paul, 25, then responded: “Challenge accepted… if your boss Dana [White] gives you permission to box me and make more money than you ever have, let me know and we can lace them up.
“I promise it will be your biggest pay day.”
After being dismissed this time around by Usman, Paul’s Most Valuable Promotions tweeted: “Just another UFC fighter who signed a bad deal and now trying to make a real payday. He called out JAKE in May of last year.”
Usman, however, has outlined how he really sees his year playing out.
He told TMZ: “In 2022 I’m going to shock the world. July, International Fight Week, I’m gonna fight Leon Edwards.
“God willing I get through Leon Edwards, September, Mexican Independence Day, I will stop Canelo Alvarez.
“Absolutely I see myself winning the fight, everything can’t be done until it’s done. We’re talking nine figures, for sure.”

Anthony Joshua hangs out with Birmingham City pal Troy Deeney as he prepares for fight against interim opponent

ANTHONY JOSHUA was snapped hanging out with footballer friend Troy Deeney as he awaits his return to the ring. The former world heavyweight champion was planning to rematch Oleksandr Usyk in the first half of 2022 as he looks to avenge his defeat at the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium in September of last year.
This photo of the pair was posted on social mediaCredit: Instagram @t_deeney
But Usyk is now serving on the front line for Ukraine as they fight off Vladimir Putin’s Russian invasion.
And Joshua could take an interim bout while he waits for a second shot at the Ukrainian champion.
On Friday though, he took some time away from training to hang out with Birmingham City striker Deeney.
Deeney, who regularly writes a column for SunSport, spent 11 years playing at Watford – the hometown of boxer Joshua.
They met in a barbershop when they were both having their hair trimmed.
And the pair were pictured chilling with one another as they enjoyed some downtime, with Joshua captioning a photo of the two: “Deeney in the building.”

Meanwhile, earlier this week Joshua’s promoter Eddie Hearn confirmed for the first time that they were open to taking another fight before the Usyk rematch.
Speaking on The MMA Hour, Hearn said: “It’s difficult to speak on behalf of Oleksandr Usyk.
“Firstly, my thoughts are with everybody in Ukraine and people showing incredible bravery out there, particularly some of the great fighters of the past and Oleksandr as well.
“He can have the time that he needs. We [Joshua’s camp] don’t want any other fight but Oleksandr Usyk.
“Whether there’s a delay for that fight and we have an interim bout, I guess that’s subject to the situation with Oleksandr Usyk and how much time he needs.
“It’s a very emotional time and personal time for the people of Ukraine. So we’ll respect them and give them all the time, but we wouldn’t be looking to get out of our obligation, is what I’m saying.

“The only fight AJ wants right now is Oleksandr Usyk. If we have to fight in between, no problem at all, but we’ll respect this time for Oleksandr Usyk and speak to his advisers.
“If there needs to be a delay for the contractual period, we will be happy to grant that, but we want that fight.
“We don’t want that obligation to slide away.” More
