LIGHTWEIGHT champion George Kambosos Jr is reportedly set for a June bout against Ukrainian superstar Vasiliy Lomachenko. The Australian currently holds four out of the five major belts in the lightweight division and is due to defend his titles on home soil in June.

And ESPN claim former three-division champ Lomachenko, 34, has already agreed to the fight.
However Kambosos himself is yet to give the green light.
The Marvel Stadium in Melbourne has been booked for June 5, but Kambosos, 28, is yet to decide on an opponent.
Should he agree to fight Lomachenko, that would scupper hopes of an undisputed meeting with WBC champ Devin Haney.
Although American hard-hitter Haney is still claimed to be ‘in contention’ for the June 5 clash, with Kambosos yet to make a decision on who he comes to blows with.
Haney has called for an undisputed title decider.

While another potential avenue for Kambosos is to take on Gervonta Davis.
Reports suggest Kambosos could be ordered to fight Davis by the WBA in a bid to merge their two titles together.
Kambosos scored the WBA, IBF, WBO and The Ring lightweight titles in November following a stunning upset win over Teofimo Lopez.
And he was ringside for Haney’s win over Joseph Diaz Jr. in December amid rumours of an undisputed fight.
Lomachenko meanwhile was also in action in December, outpointing Richard Commey to keep his name in the hat for a title shot.
Lomachenko originally lost the belts now in Kambosos’ possession in October 2020 via a unanimous points decision loss to Lopez.
But with Lomachenko now agreeing to fight Kambosos, the two-time Olympic gold medallist could find himself with a chance to regain the titles he first won way back in 2018. More

The former light-welterweight world champ and 2004 Olympic lightweight silver medallist claimed: “We know with Kell that he is one of these guys who can go off the rails after a fight, on a p***-up.
“He’ll go missing for a couple of weeks and put on a load of weight.”
Brook’s long-time trainer and mentor Dominic Ingle insists his down-to-earth charge is entitled to the odd session — just like Manchester icon Ricky Hatton, who remains adored for loving a pint with his pals.
But unlike the two-weight world champ, who stayed true to his roots with gallons of Guinness and games of darts down the local, Ingle hopes Brook’s occasional thirst does not end in disaster. 
Ingle said: “Kell does like to go out and have a drink with his old pals, he has done it for years.
“But almost all great fighters have a little bit of a twist to them — look at Ricky Hatton, who was well known for it.

“When it came to his biggest fights of his career — against Manny Pacquiao and Floyd Mayweather Jr — that lifestyle probably did have an effect on his defeats, Ricky says it probably did.
“But Kell Brook, out of all the fighters I have trained over the years, he has a determination to put himself through it in camp — he never slacks off once he is in camp.
“Getting him switched on is  difficult but once he is switched on there is no stopping him.
“He is in fantastic shape and was in that same shape six weeks ago, he could not be like that if he was not training, resting, recovering, eating right, doing everything right. I don’t know what Amir Khan has been doing for the last six months — but I know everything Kell has.”
Khan has insisted the 35-year-old pair meet at the catchweight limit of 149lb and every pound over will carry a £100,000 penalty.
But Brook — who has battled to boil his 5ft 9in frame down to welter ever since he jumped up to middleweight to face Gennady Golovkin in 2016 — insisted Khan has made a huge mistake in giving him so long to trim down and save himself a fortune.
Former IBF world welterweight champ Brook said: “I have been waking up at 4am every day because I have so much adrenaline running through my body.
“Khan has made a big mistake by giving me seven months to make this weight.

“I have trained constantly so I am there with the weight, I could have made it a month ago. I missed my family and our whole Christmas to make sure everything went right and it has.”
The grudge showdown is 20 years in the making, after the two met as England schoolboys in a sparring session both claim to have enjoyed the better of.
But what started off as a sporting rivalry has, at times, descended into an ugly spat and Brook admits he wants to be the man to end Khan’s glittering career.
He added: “We have known each other since we were 15 years old, all the way through.
“It’s just been a long time coming but we’re here, I’m excited.
“It’s all going to get settled after all the talk over all the years of him saying he would beat me. Everyone is going to tune in and see who the winner is and it is going to be me.
“I’ll be happy that I’ll be the guy to retire him. It will be very satisfying. It’s something that’s missing from my career.”

But in June last year, Mayweather, 44, returned for an exhibition bout against YouTuber Paul, 26.
The American boasted before and after of the $100million (£75m) payday which he dubbed a ‘legalised bank robbery’.
But Paul has since alleged that he was not paid the full amount owed to him and would be launching a legal case.
Mayweather has since responded for the first time and suggested bonuses from the pay-per-view sales have not yet been accounted for.
He said on the Pivot Podcast: “This comes with the territory. To them, that’s real money, and I like the YouTubers.
“The money on the back end though, from pay-per-view, that takes a while. Nothing comes right away.

AMIR KHAN claims he feels better aged 35 than he did at 25 as he dismissed any talk of retirement if he loses to Kell Brook.The former unified light-welterweight world champion will finally clash with long-time rival Special K in Manchester on Saturday.

The two British are meeting at 147lbs catchweight as they long to finish their near two-decade feud between the ropes.
Brook, also 35 and an ex-IBF welterweight title holder, is odds-on favourite with the bookies to claim the win.
But the confident Khan is adamant that even if he suffers defeat that he will not walk away from the ring.
He told BBC Breakfast: “After Sunday? Career still going strong. I’m still fighting. I feel better at 35 than I was at 25, believe it or not.
“I feel so strong, so fresh. I’ve got that love back for the sport again.
“Training with the new team in Nebraska, they’ve brought the love back for me. I’m really excited to see what the future holds.”

Both fighters are undoubtedly past their prime, but that did not stop the Manchester Arena selling out in less than 10 minutes for the grudge match.
Khan added: “It shows how much impact this fight has and the demand – people want to see this fight.
“We don’t like each other, everyone sees that. I cannot lose against someone like Kell Brook.
“It would be very upsetting in my career if I lost to Kell Brook.
“That’s why going into this fight we had to be 100 per cent ready and we have to beat this guy in good fashion.”

GENNADY GOLOVKIN has started training camp for his rescheduled fight with Ryota Murata. The middleweight champion was set to unify his IBF belt with Murata’s WBA version in December in Japan.

But it was postponed amid coronavirus restrictions, with GGG announcing April as the new target date.
Golovkin, 39, posted on Instagram: “Happy to be back at training camp and to see my team.
“Hope that a date for the unification fight with Ryota Murata rescheduled for early April will be announced soon.
“I’m looking forward to traveling to Japan and to more BIG things in 2022.”
Golovkin could this year be in line for a trilogy bout with Canelo Alvarez.
Canelo, 31, is set to return in May, a month after GGG’s planned fight with Murata, 36.

And promoter Eddie Hearn and DAZN have proposed a two-fight deal which would see him first challenge light-heavyweight Dmitry Bivol, 31.
And after fighting for Bivol’s WBA belt in May, a trilogy bout with GGG would then follow in September.
The Mexican was deemed fortunate to walk away with a draw against Golovkin in 2017, but won a razor thin rematch a year later.
Since then, he has won titles at light-heavyweight and most recently super-middleweight, becoming undisputed king last year.
But for Golovkin to attempt revenge against Canelo, he would need to fight outside of middleweight for the first time and move to super-middle.
