      Wladimir Klitschko sends out defiant message to Ukrainian people as Russia begins invasion of boxer’s country

      FORMER world heavyweight champion Wladimir Klitschko has posted a powerful message on social media after Vladimir Putin ordered Russian troops into Ukraine.Sajid Javid confirmed on Tuesday that the “invasion of Ukraine has begun” as UK Prime Minister Boris Johnson pledged to enforced a “barrage” of sanctions on Russia in response to their actions.

      The worrying move has driven fear into the hearts of many Ukrainian citizens.
      But Klitschko, who is one of the country’s most famous figures and the brother of the Mayor of Kiev, Vitali Klitschko, remains defiant in his belief the country will get through this.
      Speaking on Twitter, he said: “Be sure: Ukraine 🇺🇦 is strong!
      “It has a strong capital #Kyiv, strong cities, villages and a strong solid and united people who value above all their independence, sovereignty and peace in Europe.
      “Its WILL to exist is infinite. Glory to Ukraine!”
      Putin’s tanks rolled into Ukraine on Monday night creating the most “dangerous situation since the Cuban Missile Crisis”.

      Hatton posted a clip of the pair together to Instagram, in which he’s ‘knocked out’ by the hero child wearing a Manchester United kit.
      River started by firing punches into Hatton’s hands, before dropping him to the floor with a blow to the face.
      And Hatton captioned his post: “Lovely few hours spent with this young man yesterday.
      “River who is 7 years old, constantly in chemotherapy, battles every day, & in spite of that love & positivity just oozes out of him.

      The 43-year-old is set to lock horns with fellow great Marco Antonio Barrera in an exhibition bout later this year.
      United skipper Harry Maguire has also been left inspired by River, and dedicated his goal against Leeds at the weekend to the brave child.

      Perry knocked down Lane in the first round, but his opponent came back into the scrap well and took it to the scorecards.
      At one point heavily-tattooed Perry was seen spitting blood out of his mouth during the brutal battle.
      The Florida fighter left UFC in 2021. He made a winning bare-knuckle debut later that year when he beat Michael Seals at Triller Triad.
      His triumph against Lane was his first fight with the BKFC organisation.
      And it was all the sweeter for Perry against a fierce rival.
      The two former MMA fighters were involved in a viral brawl last December.

      The 55-year-old told the ShayShay Club: “You know, one of the best things that ever happened to me is that my mother died.
      “Because my mother would have ‘babied’ me.
      “There’s no way I would ever got into a street fight. No way I would ever learn to stand up for myself.”

      AJ was to ultimately lose his own title defence to Oleksandr Usyk and now the pair are poised to rematch, so Fury’s attention has turned to mandatory challenger Dillian Whyte as he puts his belt on the line once again.

      The 6ft 9in undefeated ace wanted Whyte to accept around £5m to step aside and let him fight Usyk.
      But Whyte’s team have dug in with their man wanting the chance to take Fury’s belts – and have finally got their wish.
      Fury said as the fight was announced: “I’m coming home baby. Get ready for the biggest British dust-up since Lennox Lewis vs Frank Bruno. History in the making.”
      And it was confirmed that Whyte had signed his side of the deal in the early hours of this morning.
      Whyte will earn around £6million for his participation, with Fury set to bank a much meatier £23.5m.
