      Josh Taylor vs Jack Catterall tale of the tape: How Scot and Englishman compare ahead of huge undisputed title fight

      JOSH TAYLOR is looking to secure a defence of his undisputed throne before moving up to the glamoured welterweight division. But challenger Jack Catterall, also unbeaten like the Scottish champion, will have something to say about that.

      Catterall agreed to forfeit his mandatory shot at the WBO belt to allow Taylor into a unification in May with Jose Ramirez.
      The hard-as-nails southpaw beat Ramirez in world class fashion but owes his English rival a title shot for stepping aside.
      Bad blood between the pair has been growing, meaning British boxing fans are treated to another grudge match.
      Taylor was an elite amateur, winning gold for Scotland in the 2014 Commonwealth Games, two years after representing Team GB in the London Olympics.
      Catterall, 28, meanwhile also had a stellar run in the unpaid ranks, turning over with a 48–18 record and winning junior titles.
      Taylor, 31, debuted as a professional in 2015, in America, and was quickly fast tracked due to his skills and promise.

      The challenger has had eight more fights, at 26-0 and they both have the same number of knockouts on their records, 13.
      Taylor is big at the weight and eyeing a move to the 147lb welterweight division.
      Has stands 5ft 10in, taller than 5ft 7in Catterall and has a reach of 69.5in, opposed to the challenger’s 67in.
      Both are southpaws with rapid hands and slick styles, but Taylor is a deserved favourite heading into the clash.

      Jarrell ‘Big Baby’ Miller is arguably the most high-profile fighter to recently test positive for banned substances – popping for not one, not two, but THREE prohibited agents ahead of his proposed fight with Anthony Joshua in June 2019.
      And the thought of fighters getting into the ring with anabolic steroids or any other performance-enhancing drug in their system infuriates Tyson.
      During an episode of his Hotboxin’ with Mike Tyson podcast, he said: “I’m not against steroids or none of that stuff, right.
      “Because everyone is using that, right? But it shouldn’t be used in sports where people are physically fighting.
      “It should be if you want to run faster, if you want to swim faster anything but physical confrontation.
      “It’s criminal if you’re gonna hit a man [when you’re on steroids], that’s attempted murder.”

      Tyson’s old foe Evander Holyfield once suggested the former undisputed heavyweight champion had used steroids after he was named in the Applied Pharmacy scandal in 2007.
      He said: “Somebody high up in boxing mentioned to me that there was this other fighter who did steroids and I should too because it wasn’t illegal in boxing yet.
      “I said, ‘I’m not going to do that. I ain’t no cheater.’ I was the undisputed cruiserweight champion and I was in the Olympics.
      “If I started taking steroids, people would say, ‘He cheated at everything.’ But this guy told me, ‘Well, [Mike] Tyson is doing it, you should, too. I said, ‘I don’t care if Tyson is doing it, I’m not.'”
      Tyson never tested positive for any performance-enhancing drugs during his hall-of-fame career, although he did admit to using a PROSTHETIC PENIS filled with urine to pass a test.
      The boxing legend said: “It was awesome, man. I put my baby’s urine in it. And sometimes, one time I was using my wife’s and my wife was like ‘Baby you better not hope that it comes back pregnant or something.’
      “And I said, ‘Nah, so we ain’t gonna use you anymore, we’re gonna use the kid.’ Cause I got scared that the piss might come back pregnant.”
      When asked if he used an appropriate Whizzinator to match his skin tone, he replied: “I had a brown one.
      “Not that it mattered in one instance when one particular tester tried not to look. “This guy was so f - - king macho he was scared.
      “I whapped it out, and he was like [turning his head], ‘Hey man, take the f***ing cup.
      “You know, this macho guy, he didn’t wanna look at me and s**t.”

      And Tyson’s so impressed with his father’s anatomy that he’s contemplating putting him on the undercard of the WBC heavyweight fight with Whyte.
      While speaking to reporters after his mega-bout with Whyte was confirmed, Tyson said to reporters: “It will be good to have him around. I could probably get him on the undercard for how hard he still trains.”
      Tyson and Whyte will finally get it cracking after months of meandering over the fight’s details.
      Whyte was holding out from signing the fight’s contract as he wanted a bigger purse.

      In 2017, Khan and Dosanjh founded the Super Boxing League in India to compliment their MMA organisation.

      Paul laid out former UFC welterweight champ Tyron Woodley in his last outing but has yet to gain the respect of the boxing community.
      But former undisputed heavyweight king Tyson reckons The Problem Child has pulled the wool over people’s eyes.
      He told former NFL star Shannon Sharpe: “I think he should too [fight a boxer], but these guys are very emotional and they want him to fight him so bad they forget that he’s a trained fighter.
      “He’s going to make them believe that they can really beat this guy because he’s white with blonde hair and blue eyes, and then they go in the ring and something different happens.”
