ERROL SPENCE JR is ready to finally fight Terence Crawford in what could be a blockbuster undisputed title fight. The unified WBC and IBF champion returns on April 16 in a unification bout in Texas with Yordenis Ugas, who defends his WBA belt.

For the winner, the only title missing to complete the undisputed crown would be the WBO strap owned by Crawford, 34.
And with the American now a free agent, it moves a super-fight with Spence, 31, one step closer.
But the Texan, also undefeated, has vowed to first become a three-belt holder, to set up the undisputed decider.
Spence told DAZN: “Talking to my manager, the people that he’s dealing with now, I think it’s a lot easier to be made.
“We’ll see what happens after the Ugas thing. If I have three belts.
“A lot of people want me to say this and that, but the proof is in the pudding of what I’m doing.
“I’m fighting for my third belt, let’s get something on the table so I can fight for a fourth belt.”
Spence was last August due to fight boxing legend Manny Pacquiao, 43, until he pulled out with an eye injury.

And according to Javier Mendez – who famously trained UFC legend Khabib – it is for good reason as he backed the YouTube star.
Mendez told Betway Insider US: “Sometimes you can be bigger and not punch harder.

It has seen AJ relocate from Sheffield with promoter Hearn revealing the partnership is going well.
He said: “He seems very happy at Loughborough.
“He went there just as a trial and has been up there since, that’s quite a good sign.

The American has been calling out Conor McGregor, 33, to a UFC fight in what would be a shock switch in sport.

But the rematch was thrown into doubt after Usyk, 35, bravely took up arms to defend his nation amid Russia’s invasion.
And it looked as though Joshua, 32, would have to take an interim bout in the meantime.
But it has since emerged Usyk will leave Ukraine to train for a fight against AJ once more.
He captioned an Instagram video: “I decided to start preparing for a rematch with Anthony Joshua.

Eddie Hearn has received offers from the Middle East and US to host the fight – the promoter wants it back in the UK.
Hearn said: “We’ve had four or five offers from around the world.
“It’s effectively a split fight so they’re going to want to know the offers that are coming in to stage the fight.
“We’d like to do it in the UK, but there have been a lot of big offers to stage it abroad.
“We’ve had offers from the Middle East, a couple of countries in the Middle East, America, the UK, yeah.
“So I think we have to sit down with Alex [Krassyuk] and say these are the offers we’ve had and which one do we move forward with.
“We want the fight to happen before the end of June, so probably middle-to-late June, the latest would be the first Saturday in July, July 2.”

And it did not take long for Paul, 25, to announce he will return to the ring in just five months time.

Paul was last in the ring in December when he knocked out Tyron Woodley, 39, in their late-notice rematch.
Woodley had been beaten on points four months earlier but replaced Tommy Fury, 22, who pulled out injured.
Paul added to KOs over online rival ‘AnEsonGib’, ex-NBA player Nate Robinson, 37, and retired UFC welterweight Ben Askren, 37.

He told TMZ Sports: “We’re in talks with a couple of different people. Toying around with the idea of going into MMA for the next fight.
“So, we’re in negotiations, Nakisa my manager, Most Valuable Promotions, we’re talking to a bunch of different people and seeing who makes the most sense.”
Paul has feuded with UFC president Dana White in the past, meaning rival MMA promotions like Bellator and PFL are alternative options.
He added: “We’re definitely talking to both of those entities and other MMA entities as well to see where it makes the most sense.
“Working on some pretty exciting things there but there’s a long list of people that I want to fight, it just depends on who’s ready and who can sell the most amount of pay-per-views.

HARRY SCARFF is ready to show he is a “new animal” tonight after his bitter loss to Troy Williamson. The last time Derby born battler, 28, was in the ring for a major fight was when Williamson controversially clinched a points decision in August 2020.

Williamson struggled throughout against the dogged ‘Horrible’ Harry Scarff who showed non stop aggression.
The 28-year-old and his coach Clifton Mitchell were left fuming at the shock decision.
But he is ready to put him all behind him tonight against Louis Greene at Wembley Arena for the vacant English welterweight title live on Sky Sports.
He said: “I want to be in the mix for all the big fights. I’m open to any of the welterweights. I’m happy to fight absolutely any of them. I’d beat any of them.

“I had a controversial loss in my last big fight to Williamson and he went on to win the British title and did well.
“So people look at the back of that and think Harry is a really risky fight, especially at welterweight, which is just my natural weight.
“I just look forward to showing I’m a new animal.”
Scarff has a 10-2 record and is itching to get back on the scene after a nine-month lay off.

He has been on a recent red-hot run of back to back TKO wins in his last two fights.
The dad of four has been training full-time ahead of this fight having previously juggled work as a chef in his family’s pub and scaffolding with his boxing career.

“I thought to reach the level of the full time pros I’m fighting, I need to be doing the same.
“I still do a few odd bits like scaffolding to keep me ticking along with my mates. We love it. It’s good to get out and I can train around that.”
Scarff trains out of One Nation Gym in the East Midlands, alongside former Commonwealth Games champ Sandy Ryan.
It is a community based gym founded in 1997 by ex Heavyweight Boxer Clifton Mitchell and is the beating heart of boxing in Derby.
Scarff added: “Clifton is the main man for Derby boxing and he has spearheaded it in our city.
“But we need to keep growing it and I look forward to hopefully leading the way.
“We’ve got Zach Parker doing the big Frank Warren show in Derby at the Pride Park Stadium. Sandy is doing well and Myron Mills so we’ve got loads of good boxers.
“We just need to bring the next lot though now. I’m involved with the amateurs at One Nation and it’s the place to be, it’s buzzing and it’s going to keep growing.”
Scarff hopes his own son Harry Jr, 6, could be coming through the Derby boxing ranks soon.
He continued: “You want to do well for your kids. It’s an inspiration and a driving force behind training hard.
“Little Harry Jr comes to the gym with us and does kickboxing with an ex-pro and then comes and does a bit of boxing. He loves it.
“I love being a dad and that’s testament to my partner. She is spot on, looks after the kids and does most of the work. I get the fun job.” More
