And the April 23 clash with the Brixton ace is supposed to be a semi-final to face the winner of Anthony Joshua’s rematch with Oleksandr Usyk for the WBC, IBF and WBO belts and legendary undisputed status.
But the eccentric Gypsy King reckons he will now retire undefeated after fending off Whyte and leave AJ, Usyk and the rest of the world wanting more.
He said: “This is the final fight of my career. I am retiring after this.
“I’ll have £150m in the bank, still be healthy, young and good-looking.
“I am going to buy a massive yacht abroad to go with the super-cars and properties I have all over the world.
“I am going to sit back with a hot blonde and a pina colada thinking ‘you know what, I f***ing made it. Boom!’

Whyte instead decided to stay at his Portuguese training camp where he is planning the heavyweight champ’s downfall.

Fury’s retirement announcement will not come as a shock to fans, as he has claimed he will hang up his gloves before.
But he now has a large family around him and looks in a better place after his mental health battles.
And he plans to spend more time with wife Paris and their six children.

Earlier, Fury claimed he would be the first man to represent the UK if war broke out.
It comes after his rival and potential future opponent Usyk joined the Ukraine frontline amid the Russian invasion.

‘They chose the safer option’ – Tyson Fury taunted by Oleksandr Usyk’s team for taking Dillian Whyte fight

TYSON FURY has been accused of choosing ‘the safer option’ by fighting Dillian Whyte instead of Oleksandr Usyk. The reigning heavyweight champions were in talks for a historic four-belt heavyweight unification in Saudi Arabia.

But for a deal to be agreed, Anthony Joshua would have had to forfeit his rematch with Usyk and Dillian Whyte step aside to do the same for his WBC title shot.
Eventually, AJ was unable to come to terms and later claimed Fury wanted a warm-up fight before facing Usyk, meaning he would need to sit out for two bouts.
The Gypsy King hit back and claimed Usyk, 35, would not have been ready until June, meaning they would take a interim opponent instead.
Now the Ukrainian’s assistant coach Sergey Lapin has weighed in and blasted that Fury, 33, had always wanted to fight Whyte, 33 in the first place.
Speaking with MyBettingSites, Lapin said: “Usyk is always ready for any challenger, he was one of the first who agreed to hold a unification against Tyson Fury.
“I heard that Joshua wasn’t against receiving the compensation either to allow the unification.

“But suddenly something went wrong, it seems to me that Tyson Fury and his team chose a much safer option for themselves – a fight with Dillian Whyte.”
Joshua’s contracted rematch with Usyk, targeted for May or June, remains in doubt because of Ukraine’s invasion of Russia.
The unbeaten two-weight champ has taken up arms to defend his nation enlisting with the Kyiv Territorial Defence.
It may allow Joshua, 32, beaten by Usyk in points in September, more time to work on a game plan, which Lapin believes will be more offensive.
He said: “I think Joshua will change his fighting strategy towards a more aggressive style.

“But will he be able to maintain this pace, will his conditioning be enough for this? We will only be able to see in the ring.
“That’s the essence of boxing, not only big muscles and size playing a role here, it’s very important how your boxing IQ works and how quickly you make decisions.
“Usyk will be preparing for the same Joshua, taking into account the mistakes of the previous fight.”

Tyson Fury claims he would go to war for UK like Oleksandr Usyk and brave Ukrainian boxers after invasion by Russia

TYSON FURY has declared he would go to war for the UK just like a number of boxers are doing in Ukraine.Wladimir Klitschko, the man the Gypsy King defeated in 2015 to become world champion, and WBA, IBF, WBO and IBO title holder Oleksandr Usyk have both signed up to defend their home nation against the Vladimir Putin ordered Russian invasion.

Vitali Klitschko and Vasyl Lomachenko have also bravely joined the fight.
Ex-champ Wladimir enlisted in Ukraine’s reserve army prior to the attack, and then once Russia launched their invasion, his brother and fellow former title holder Vitali (now Mayor of Kyiv) announced he was joining.
Lomachenko then joined the Belgorod-Dnestrovsky Territorial Defense over the weekend before Usyk did the same in Kyiv.
Fury reacted to the above news by telling talkSPORT Boxing Insider: “Well, it’s what they should be doing.
“When it comes to war on UK soil, I’ll be first up.
“I’ll be first up, I’ll be the easiest target to hit at 6ft 9ins, I’ll be dead first.

“Frank [Warren] will be shading from the bullets behind me and I’ll just catch them all like a nutcase.”
Fury is at Wembley today to speak to the media ahead of his WBC Title defence against Dillian Whyte on April 23.
Speaking at today’s press conference, Fury said: “It’s fantastic what they are doing.
“I would be the first to join up if England or America got involved, my dad too and all our boys.
“If you are from a country you should do it. Love your woman and fight for your country, that’s what I say.”
Before that Whyte contract was eventually signed, speculation was mounting that a step-aside deal could be struck to make a unification showdown between Fury and Usyk – only for that to collapse.
Fury added: “Dillian Whyte was happy with his money, but AJ wasn’t happy with his step-aside and they lost the biggest deal for him out there.
“Now he’s in limbo because obviously Oleksandr Usyk’s back in Ukraine with a machine gun. And it doesn’t look like he’s gonna be fighting any time soon.” More

‘Disgraceful and not professional’ – Frank Warren slams Dillian Whyte for not turning up to Tyson Fury press conference

DILLIAN WHYTE has been slammed as ‘disgraceful and unprofessional’ for not attending a first press conference with Tyson Fury. The two Brits will fight on April 23 at Wembley, with Fury’s WBC heavyweight title on the line.

The first presser for the mouthwatering scrap took place at the national stadium today – but with one notable exception.
Whyte, 33, has chosen not break from his gruelling Portugal training camp to be at today’s event.
And his lawyer has claimed his big-fight silence is in response to his treatment from rival promoter Warren, who won the £30million purse bid and right to hold the fight.
But Warren has slammed the Brixton brawler’s actions, describing his behaviour as ‘madness’.
Warren said: “I don’t want to bore everybody, the WBC made the fight, we went to purse bids and won.
“We fulfilled criteria, which we did, he signed a contract last minute and now he is trying to renegotiate, we had a period to agree terms.

“They didn’t even want us to use his photo on a poster, I have never heard anything like it.
“I have never heard of a fighter not turning up for a presser this big. He is getting eight times more than Tyson did versus Klitschko.
“It’s disgraceful and not professional to not show up, Tyson would have done it, he has done it in the past. It is madness.”
Lawyer and business adviser, Jeffrey Benz recently told SunSport: “Dillian Whyte would have been more than happy to attend the ticket launch event but was not able to reach agreement with Frank Warren’s Queensberry Promotions on even his very basic requirements which are normal in the sport of boxing.
“But they didn’t even given us notice of where and when this one-sided shindig will occur. It really is incredible.
“We are dealing with dinosaurs here. They bid $41m for a fight but are all over the place. They haven’t even met Dillian’s basic requirements which are entirely usual and nothing out of the ordinary.”

‘I could be me chinned’ – Tyson Fury details two areas Dillian Whyte could KO him from ahead of Wembley showdown

TYSON FURY admitted Dillian Whyte has the power to chin him at Wembley – but backs his Lancaster bombers to get there first. Whyte was a no-show at their first pre-fight press conference to promote the April 23 all-British WBC title fight.
Promoter Frank Warren and Tyson FuryCredit: Reuters
But Fury, smartly dressed as ever in a suave suit, did enough talking for the both of them, promising a knockout either way.
He said: “I know Dillian Whyte’s going to come in prepared, he’s going to come in rugged and rough and game and aggressive.
“And he’s got a big left hook a big right hand and who knows? It could be me chinned on the night.
“I think both fighters are going for the knockout in this fight and I just think when I land a Lancaster bomber on his jaw, it’s going to be over.
“That could be in round one and it could be in round six. I don’t see it going past them, Frank.
“But I’m looking to put on an excellent night, showcase of knockout boxing for the UK fans and then sing a load of song afterwards.”

Fury, 33, is eyeing the undisputed crown but first needs to dispatch of mandatory challenger Whyte, 33.
The other side of the equation will be determined after the rematch between Anthony Joshua, 32, and Oleksandr Usyk, 35.
But Fury is botherless who he faces now or ever, adamant he will reign as heavyweight king regardless.
He boasted: “I’m not concerned because it’s the Fury roadshow and he next stop is London, the United Kingdom.
“Its never about the opponent, whether it’s his [Whyte’s] face on there or someone else’s. It’s really unimportant.
“He’s ugly anyway, take him down, we should take him down, Frank. This is about this man over here [himself] and celebrating his legacy and his boxing career.
“Celebrating it on the biggest stage the world can get really. It doesn’t matter if it’s Dillian Whyte, doesn’t matter if it’s Joe Joyce, Derek Chisora, Anthony Joshua, Usyk.
“It doesn’t matter where it stops next, it will always be the Tyson Fury roadshow.”

The Gypsy King is a huge favourite to retain his title as well as his undefeated record as a professional.
But Iron Mike believes Whyte has a puncher’s chance of upsetting the odds and winning his first ever world title.
Speaking on the Club Shay Shay YouTube channel when asked how to beat Fury, the 55-year-old explained: “That would be tough, but there were guys that dropped him that were lighter than me.
Then, referencing Steve Cunningham, Tyson continued: “Who was the gentleman that dropped him? The former cruiserweight champ?
“He’s not a harder puncher than I am – I’m able to hurt the big guys.
“I’ll try my best and do whatever ever I know how to do. Go in with your jab. He has to go all out for 12 rounds with him.

“He [Whyte] can’t give him no room to punch, he has to go all out for 12 rounds.
“He can’t give him no time by moving around, can’t allow him to think. He allows Tyson Fury to think a lot, he gives him a lot of time.”
Whyte will earn around £6million for his participation, with Fury set to bank a much meatier £23.5m.
But if the Brixton banger manages to spring a huge shock and beat Fury, he will pocket an extra £3m.
    WHYTE MISSES PRESSER
Whyte has failed to attend the first press conference, refusing to break his training camp in Portugal.
And his lawyer has claimed his big-fight silence is in response to his treatment from rival promoter Warren, who won the £30million purse bid and right to hold the fight.
Lawyer and business adviser, Jeffrey Benz told SunSport: “Dillian Whyte would have been more than happy to attend the ticket launch event but was not able to reach agreement with Frank Warren’s Queensberry Promotions on even his very basic requirements which are normal in the sport of boxing.
But veteran promoter Warren has now hit back at the claims and insists Whyte was told about the event last week – and even offered a private jet to get there. More

    Wladimir Klitschko
Wladimir, 45, reigned as heavyweight king for nine years before losing his crown to Tyson Fury, 33, in a 2015 upset.
He would return two years later in defeat to Anthony Joshua, 32, and announce his retirement soon after, snubbing a Las Vegas rematch.
Wladimir, dad to seven-year-old Kaya Evdokia, has refused a boxing comeback in recent years and also pledged to fight on the frontline.
He enlisted in Ukraine’s reserve army in early February and has publicly pleaded with Russia to end the war.

    Vasiliy Lomachenko
The masterful southpaw, 34, is one of the greatest amateur boxers of all time, leaving the unpaid ranks with a record of 396-1 and two Olympic gold medals.
It saw him fast tracked as a professional like never seen before and Lomachenko, who is married to Olena with two kids, became a three-division champ in just 12 fights.
He was beaten by Teofimo Lopez in 2020, but has won twice since and is now targeting a fight with new unified lightweight champ George Kambosos Jr.
But with talks for his return stalling, Loma was last seen holding a M16 with Ukrainian media reporting he had joined the Belgorod-Dniester Terror Defence Battalion.

    Oleksandr Usyk
Usyk, who won gold at the 2012 Olympics, is a former undisputed cruiserweight king and current three-belt heavyweight owner.
He beat Joshua in September and they are contracted to an immediate rematch this year – although it remains in doubt.
Usyk, 35, had been in London last month to hold talks with AJ’s promoter to decide a date and venue for their rematch.
But now, the fearless unbeaten father-of three, who married partner Yekaterina in 2009, has enlisted with the Kyiv Territorial Defence.

He most recently knocked out ex-UFC champion Tyron Woodley, leaving his next opponent up in the air.
Older brother Logan, 26, said on the MMA Hour: “I’d love to see him fight Nate Diaz then eventually Conor McGregor.
“I think that would be such a cool fight, man.”
Paul has also knocked out the likes of online rival ‘AnEsonGib’, ex-NBA player Nate Robinson, 37, and retired UFC welterweight Ben Askren, 37.
He first beat Woodley, 39, on points in August and then signed to fight Tommy Fury, 22, until the Brit pulled out with a broken rib.
So in December, Woodley filled in on late notice only to be brutally knocked out in round six of the short-notice rematch.

Logan has been ringside watching the journey up close and personal, left motivated by his brother’s polarising splash in the sport.
He said: “I remember a time not that long ago, maybe like two and a half years ago, I’m ashamed to say this because I’m his brother and I love him, but I had chalked him up to the game.
“His attitude or he’s going about this the wrong way. He was just being a f***ing punk about his brand and his persona.
“Then he put in the work and the work led to results and led to actual action.
“And so I realised that I’m done doubting Jake Paul forever. Anything the kid says now I’m like, ‘Well, I’ve seen him do it before’.
“I get so inspired by him now. He truly is like an example of making it out of the mud, man.
“He’s definitely exceeded my expectations along with everyone’s, I assume.”
