DILLIAN WHYTE has accused Tyson Fury of using an “illegal” push and slammed referee Mark Lyson after his knockout loss. Whyte was brutally beaten in round six of the WBC heavyweight world title fight at Wembley.

Fury landed a perfect right uppercut but did appear to shove the challenger, who was floored thereafter.
The Gypsy King was also seen urging official Lyson to call the fight off as Whyte beat the count but staggered and stumbled on his feet.
In an interview with Sky Sports reflecting on the fight, the beaten challenger hit out at Fury and Lyson.

Pushing is prohibited in the rules of boxing but Fury could argue Whyte was knocked out from the initial uppercut.
The KO punch came ONE second before the end of the round.
And Whyte argued: “I should have been given time to recover or go back to my corner.
“But I dunno, Tyson Fury gets away with a lot of things.”
Fury announced he will hang up the gloves following his Wembley win, but Whyte still hopes for a rematch.
He said: “I hope he doesn’t retire because I want another go.”

Whyte also ruled out retirement and insisted the defeat to Fury was not one-sided.
He said: “Well I said to my team, ‘Listen, I’m not one of those guys that wants to go out on a loss or a bad performance’.
“Listen, I’m still young enough, I’ve got a lot left in me, I still feel strong, I’m still getting better.
“I fought the best in the world and weren’t outclassed or outboxed.
“He was a bit taller than me, the range is a bit tricky obviously because of the style it’s hard to get guys to prepare for him because he’s awkward in the way he fights and stuff.
“I weren’t outclassed, I landed my fair bit of leather and he landed his.
“If I got beat up for four or five rounds and got completely outclassed then I would say, ‘Yeah, it’s time to call it a day’. But I wasn’t outclassed.
“It’s not a long, hard road back because I showed the level I am and obviously we sold 90-something thousand tickets together.

A TEENAGER who was driving the car which killed a rising boxing star in a horror crash has died. Promising fighter Ali Tazeem, 18, died in the crash in Wolverhampton in the early hours of Easter Sunday.

He was dubbed as the “next Amir Khan” by the Olympic Silver medallist himself who paid tribute to the teen. 
Police rushed to Merridale Road in the city after the Vauxhall Corsa Tazeem was travelling in hit a wall.
He was tragically declared dead at the scene while the driver, also 18, was rushed to hospital in a critical condition.
Police have now confirmed that the driver, who as not been named, died over the weekend.

Speaking after Tazeem claimed two gold medals in the Bristol Boxing Cup in 2020: “I definitely think he is the next big thing for sure.”
Horrified locals rushed to save Tazeem after hearing a “loud bang” when the car hit the brick wall.
Dad-of-two Ali Zinkal, 42, said: “I ran out of my flat in my boxer shorts and went over to the car.
“I put my fingers to the passenger’s neck to check for a pulse but there was none. He was gone.
“It is so sad to see a young man’s life end like that. The road is a death trap.”

West Midlands Police confirmed an investigation has now been launched as they appealed for information.
The force said: “A teenager has tragically died and another left seriously injured after a car hit a wall in Wolverhampton in the early hours of this morning.
“Our thoughts are with their loved ones and we’ll be offering them support at this terrible time.
“A cordon remains in place while officers from our serious collision investigation unit carry out enquiries to establish exactly what happened.
“We’d ask people not to speculate at this stage but for anyone with information to contact us as soon as possible.

Klitschko retired after his legendary fight with Joshua and snubbed a rematch soon after.
It came only two years after a shock defeat on points to Fury in Germany, where a rematch also failed to follow.
That was because the Gypsy King vacated his belts following a battle with depression and substance abuse.
But after an inspirational comeback only five years later Fury would reign as world heavyweight king again.
And if Klitschko does return to the ring, a rematch with Fury could await, despite the Gypsy King claiming his win over Whyte will be the final in his iconic career.

A month beforehand, AJ was beaten by Oleksandr Usyk, 35, leading to an expected rematch this summer.
Hearn is still confident Joshua has the beating of old rival Fury, but has to avenge defeat to Usyk.

Joshua’s rematch with the Ukrainian is targeted for July but for Fury, he announced he will hang up the gloves.
But with a super-fight against the winner between AJ and Usyk, Hearn hopes the WBC champ makes a retirement U-turn.
He wrote: “I hope not – probably has the biggest fights of his career ahead.”
