BOXER Erickson Lubin was taken to hospital with a broken nose and battered face after losing to Sebastian Fundora. The light-middleweight contenders put on a thriller in Las Vegas which was all-action until the finish.

Fundora threw a relentless 706 punches and landed 255, scoring with 36 per cent accuracy.
It saw Lubin, 26, taken to UMC trauma centre after the brutal bout where he was treated for a broken nose and a separated shoulder.
The American was later released and according to BoxingScene, left needing a sling the next day as surgery on his shoulder will be required.
Trainer Kevin Cunningham stopped the bout before round ten to end the epic slugfest and even Fundora, 24, admitted it was the right call.

He said: “I think it was a good decision for Kevin Cunningham to stop the fight.
“His face shifted from round one to round nine. It completely morphed and there was a lot of blood coming out.
“He’s a tough fighter. He was in the game the whole time but there’s no need to get hurt that much.”
Lubin was down in round two after a perfect lead uppercut but also dropped 6ft 5in Fundora himself in the seventh.
But the rangy American would go on to take control of the bout pushing Lubin back with sustained pressure.

Bradley added: “It’s a different animal. It’s his [GGG] first fight at 168 pounds.
Canelo has fought at that weight and 175. Come on, dog. So, I see him [Canelo] beating him [Golovkin] and stopping him late.”
Bradley already believes Canelo will have a game-plan to defeat his foe.
“You saw it early on in his fight against Murata, Murata was going down to the body and pushing him back,” he said.
“That’s what Canelo is going to do. He’s going to press forward [against Golovkin].

MEXICAN boxer Canelo Alvarez has turned down fighting Dmitry Bivol in a catchweight contest, promoter Eddie Hearn has revealed.The pair will instead go toe-to-toe at the usual 175lb limit for light heavyweights.

The catchweight, which is a limit different to traditional weight classes agreed to by both fighters, was offered at 171lb.
However, Hearn revealed while speaking to DAZN that Alvarez, 31, had no interested in accepting those terms.
