TERENCE CRAWFORD is ready for an undisputed super-fight with Errol Spence Jr. Spence left Yordenis Ugas’ right eye so battered that their welterweight unification was brought to an end in round ten.

The Texan added the WBA belt to the WBC and IBF straps he brought into the fight.
And afterwards he called out Crawford, whose WBO title is the only thing standing in Spence’s way of undisputed supremacy.
Responding on Twitter, Crawford posted: “Congratulations great fight now the real fight happens.

But last year, Crawford left Bob Arum’s legendary Top Rank stable to become a free agent.
It leaves nothing standing in the way of a mega-fight with Spence, who himself called for the score to be settled once and for all.

Spence said: “Everybody knows who I want next, I want Terence Crawford next.
“That’s the fight that I want, that’s the fight that everybody else wants and like I said, I’m going to get these straps.
“I’m going to go over there and take his s*** too.

ERROL SPENCE JR admitted he made a “rookie mistake” against Yordenis Ugas – by forgetting the golden rule in boxing. Spence saw off Ugas in ten rounds in his home of Texas to add the WBA welterweight title to his IBF and WBC belts.

But it only came after a huge scare for the unbeaten American, who was hurt in round six.
An uppercut by Ugas smashed Spence’s gumshield out and on to the floor.
But as the Texan stopped the search for his mouthpiece, Ugas continued punching.
It sent Spence crashing into the ropes on wobbly legs and the unified champion was evidently hurt.

But the referee soon stopped Ugas in his tracks to allow Spence to put his mouthguard back in.
Ultimately, it also afforded him time to recover and that is exactly what the southpaw star did.
Spence turned it around in the next round to hurt Ugas himself and by round ten, the Cuban’s eye was so swollen the fight was waved off.
The newly-crowned three-belt welterweight champ was asked about the controversial break in play.

Spence said: “Well, I thought the ref had said stop, so I stopped and then he hit me with three or four shots.
“So that was my fault, that was rookie mistake by myself. You’re supposed to protect yourself at all times and I didn’t do that.
“I wasn’t out on my feet, I turned to look for my mouthpiece and then he hit me and I was like, ‘Ah, s***’.’
“Then he just kept hitting me and I was like, ‘Ah damn’. And when I put my hands up, he had stopped anyway as the ref had jumped in.”
Spence recovered well and after beating Ugas by stoppage, he called out Terence Crawford, 34, to an undisputed super-fight.

Spence added the WBA belt with the WBC and IBF versions he took into the bout and now has just one jewel missing.

He said: “I didn’t have any doubts at all, I believe in myself 100 per cent, I train 100 per cent.
“I knew I was going to come for the victory, this is what I wanted, I didn’t want a tune-up fight or a fight with someone that I know I can beat.
“I wanted a fighter who could bring the best out of me and I knew Ugas was going to bring the best out of me.”
The opening stages of the contest were cagey as Spence landed with higher frequency but Ugas was the more accurate puncher.
Heading half way into the fight, the hometown hero was beginning to take control, landing heavy blows on the inside.
But in round six, the tie threatened to turn on its head when Ugas wobbled Spence with a short uppercut.
It knocked the champion’s gumshield out and left Spence searching for it – and almost paid the ultimate price.

As Ugas was meanwhile more interested in punching and had the American hurt, staggered into the ropes.
But the referee stopped the action – as Ugas was coming on strong – to allow Spence to put his mouthpiece back in.
The harsh pause gave Spence time to recover and a huge sigh of relief echoed around Dallas’ AT&T Stadium.
Spence, sensing momentum had been lost, rushed out the gates in round seven and this time had Ugas hurt.
Ugas was on the retreat from then on as his eye began to swell, causing the doctor to check on it in round eight.
Spence knew his man was there for the taking and in the ninth he backed the Cuban up to the ropes and unloaded heavy itinerary.
It was much of the same in round ten and a pair of left uppercuts stopped Ugas in his tracks on wobbly legs.
