      Tyson Fury adds new coach to team for Dillian Whyte fight as Gypsy King brings back old amateur trainer Steve Egan

      TYSON FURY has drafted in and old face to his corner for what he has claimed will be his final fight. Steve Egan was the first man to teach the two-time heavyweight world champion how to box at his gym in Wythenshawe.

      Fast forward almost 20 years and Egan will corner Fury, 33, for the first time as a professional, against Dillian Whyte, 34, on Saturday.
      And the Gypsy King has insisted it will be the first and last time as he doubled down on retirement plans.
      Fury told iFL TV: “I started boxing at 14, I’m 34 in August. I’ve had a good 20 years.

      The British star had planned to become undisputed champ by fighting the winner of Anthony Joshua, 32, and Oleksandr Usyk, 35.
      But after AJ’s defeat to Usyk in September, Fury has been put off waiting around for the victor of their rematch.
      He said: “I’ve won every belt there is to win. I’ve already won all the belts, people already know that.
      “AJ’s already had his chance once, really he’s had about ten chances to fight me, and for his greed and wanting all the time it’s not happened. It’s no skin off my nose.

      “He ain’t a virgin any more is he? He’s been beaten so in what world could he have ever beaten me anyway?
      “There is no debate, it’s not an exciting fight, it’s only for money anyway.
      “If I fought Joshua now, I wouldn’t be gaining anything because people don’t think he could beat me anyway.
      “They think I’ll give him a good hiding and set about him, send him up the road packing saying ‘get up there, mush’.
      “All I’ll be gaining is a few quid and a word is a word not to be broken. That’s it, nothing more to gain.

      Tommy Fury says Dillian Whyte is ‘just a heavyweight who can punch’ and ‘no Deontay Wilder’ ahead of Tyson’s super-fight

      TOMMY FURY thinks Dillian Whyte is “just a heavyweight who can punch” and offers nothing his brother has not conquered before. Tyson will make his UK homecoming four years in the making against WBC mandatory challenger Whyte this Saturday.

      And featuring on the potentially record-breaking 94,000-plus Wembley bill is younger brother Tommy. 
      The 2019 Love Island star trained alongside Tyson for the respected returns – and he did not lose sleep over the threat Whyte brings. 
      Tommy, 22, told SunSport: “For me, this fight is a nice homecoming for Tyson, I don’t see it going past six rounds.

      “But I just don’t think his best shot is good enough. Especially if Tyson comes into this fight how he’s been doing it in the gym, Dillian Whyte hasn’t got a prayer.” 
      Fury, 33, faces his first British opponent since 2014 when he stopped Derek Chisora, 38, in ten rounds of their rematch.
      But that could have changed last year following talks to fight Anthony Joshua, 32, in Saudi Arabia. 
      Instead, a US arbitrator ruled that Fury owed Wilder, 36, a trilogy fight, which the American lost in 11 epic rounds last October.

      Controlling the range

      The two-time champ has teased that he could even box southpaw, which would make landing the left hook and ramrod jab harder for Whyte.

      As a counter-puncher and masterful boxer, Fury does not have to lead the dance.
      But for Whyte, being first to the punch could be imperative.
      Or else he will allow Fury to set and get in a rhythm that is famously hard to halt.
      If Whyte can be first it allows him to offset Fury and dictate the pace, maybe even forcing the champ into a mistake or two.

      Fury’s size could allow him to box and move his way to bemusing Whyte.
      But, it also provides a constant target for Whyte, who will know where Fury’s head is at all time.
      The Gypsy King has also been caught over the top in his career, moving back in a straight line with his hands down.
