JAKE PAUL and Tommy Fury are finally set to do battle in the ring, eight months after their fight was first postponed. The pair were supposed to face each other back in December but it was pulled due to an injury to Fury.

Paul instead fought and knocked out Tyron Woodley in a rematch, before telling the world that Fury wouldn’t get the opportunity to fight him again.
Of course, it was all for the purposes of promotion, and the fight is finally on, despite some late doubt over whether Fury will have his training team, which includes his father John, in New York.
Paul and Fury have jousted with their words for over a year now, with the trash-talk reaching personal levels.
But they can settle their differences in the ring, with the mecca of boxing Madison Square Garden set to play host.

When is Jake Paul vs Tommy Fury?
Paul’s big clash with Fury will be take place on Saturday, August 6.
The fight will be held at Madison Square Garden in New York City, NY.
Paul was also involved in Amanda Serrano’s clash with Katie Taylor at Madison Square Garden earlier this year.
That fight sold out the arena, and Paul will be hoping the same happens on August 6.
What channel is it and can it be live streamed?
While a UK channel has yet to be announced, Paul’s last two fights were shown live on BT Sport Box Office.
Fury has always fought on BT Sport, and it’s likely the channel will pick up the rights for this fight.
Expect the price for the clash to be around £19.95.

Playing Fury himself, the Problem Child depicts his rival supposedly “finding out” that he’d secured a bout with Paul.

JAKE PAUL has CONFIRMED that he will finally fight Tommy Fury at Madison Square Garden on August 6.The pair were originally due to clash last year before Fury – the brother of world heavyweight champion Tyson – pulled out through illness and injury.

But now, after months of trash talk, a date and venue have been announced – with Paul sharing the headline spot with seven-weight world champion Amanda Serrano in New York.
Speaking on social media, Paul said: “Okay people he grew a set over night. It’s official, Im taking this little Fury’s head off.
“Amanda Serrano and I dual main-event at the Mecca of boxing.

The announcement comes after Paul accused Fury of trying to wriggle out of negotiations on Wednesday.
He said: “Yet again I wake up to a text from my manager saying Tommy Fury is pulling out of the fight.
“We agreed to all of the terms, we’re 45 days away from the fight. We agreed to his $2m purse, to VADA testing, to extra rooms, extra flights, extra tickets.
“We are scheduled to have a press conference in New York next week until now.

How Fury and Paul stack up ahead of their fight this summer

Just hours later, Fury responded: “The fight is on. August 6th.
“Forget a team or any other bulls***. I don’t need anybody to help me lay you flat on that canvas.
“Oh and thanks for finally signing the drug testing… you only agreed to it when you realised the fight was at risk – who needs who.”
And he backed that up with a confirmation video on Thursday in which he told fans that the contracts had been signed and the fight was on.
Paul then posted the fight poster moments later as the August 6 date was announced.
The first press conference will take place next Wednesday, June 30.

Billy Joe Saunders back in training and ready to come out of retirement for shock fight in December, reveals coach

BILLY JOE SAUNDERS is back in training and preparing for a return to the ring in December, according to his former coach Dominic Ingle.The 32-year-old Brit, who has won world titles in the middleweight and super-middleweight divisions, was last seen in May last year when he retired after the eighth round against Canelo Alvarez.

It was the first defeat of Saunders’ professional career following 30 successive victories.
Since then, he has remained largely out of the media spotlight, leading many to believe he had quietly retired from the sport.
But Ingle, who trained Saunders from 2017 to 2019, has now revealed that the boxer has come back to his gym and is eyeing a return before the year is out.
Speaking to The Sheffield Star, he said: “He came back a couple of weeks back just to find his feet, get away from home.

“He’s aiming to fight in December. His nutritionist Greg Marriott is based in Sheffield, we have just got to sit down and work out a plan of where he goes from there.
“That’s another conversation I need to have when I get back to Sheffield. It might work out, it might not.”
Saunders’ representatives were contacted following the quotes from Ingle, but they insisted the fighter is “currently retired and not returning to boxing”.
The report then goes on to state that he is in Sheffield receiving treatment for an injury.

And it was in Sin City that Fury decided to meet Lovejoy, who had been telling people he would knock out the unbeaten Mancunian.

After getting wind that he was being called out, Fury surprised him at the Mayweather gym to leave Pretty Boy speechless.

In an interview with iFL TV shortly after their exchange, Fury confirmed the two got it on in a spar, where he blasted him out in the first round.
He said: “What happened was, there was this big fella, six-foot-five, 20 stone, 18-0 (18 KOs), he was highly rated by the WBA.
“And he was saying all over Las Vegas, all in the heavyweight gyms, ‘I’m gonna knock Tyson Fury out. He’s a bum, he’s this, he’s that.’
“So one of the trainers at the Mayweather gym said, ‘Oh Tyson, there’s this guy who said he’s gonna knock you out.’
“He caused the trouble, he phoned him up and said, ‘Say it to his face, say it to him on the phone.’
“I said, ‘Are you gonna knock me out, are you?’ He said, ‘Yeah, I am.’ I said, ‘Come down and do it then.’
“So anyway I wasn’t at the gym and he turned up to the gym. I said, ‘I’ll tell you what to do, come back tomorrow and I’m gonna knock you out. If I don’t, it don’t count.’
“He sort of flapped it, didn’t know how to take it. But he left and he came back tomorrow.

“My cousin said, ‘I want you to drop him with a straight left hand in the first round.’ I said, ‘You got it.’
“He comes running at me, I just went slip, boom and down he went. All 20 stone of him on the floor.”
Lovejoy has himself now shared footage of their interaction on his YouTube channel, though conveniently there was no sound on the video.
Fans were left in stitches by the confrontation, as one user commented: “Tyson you left him speechless.”
Another messaged: “Brilliant. Tyson put him in shock without throwing a single punch.”
A third added: “Tyson beat him with just a few words.”
