      The Icelandic giant has fought four times, drawing his opening two bouts before beating Devon Larrett and fellow strongman Eddie Hall in March.
      His exploits have caught the attention of WBC kingpin Fury, who called out the 6ft9 colossus on Wednesday.

      The Gypsy King included a picture of Thor looking trim after his recent weight loss.
      Bjornsson cut weight to make his body more adaptable in the boxing ring, going from a mammoth 451lbs during his strongman days down to 321lbs.
      That would still give the giant Game of Thrones actor a 60lbs weight advantage over Fury in their potential clash.
      And Thor hit back at the Gypsy King’s taunts, revealing he would be up for settling their differences in the ring.
      He said on Instagram: “Tyson, there’s only one way to find out [if Thor could take Fury’s punches]. Let’s make this fight.
      “I’m 100% up for war. Let’s do this.”

      Their showdown was billed as the ‘The Heaviest Boxing Match in History’ with the combined weight of the fighters almost 650lbs.
      Thor dominated ‘The Beast’ in their Dubai showdown, winning by unanimous decision in a fight marred by live stream issues for punters at home.
      Fury meanwhile announced he would retire after beating Dillian Whyte earlier this year.
      It’s expected that he will return to the ring this year – with one showdown potentially against the winner of Anthony Joshua’s rematch with Oleksandr Usyk.
      But the Ukrainian has slammed Fury for his astronomical money demands, with Tyson saying he would only fight for $600m.

      “Just me and my trainers in the gym. We would come in the gym after Mike, and chairs could be turned over and everything as if somebody had a big to-do.
      “And when my camp came in, it was just us. So it was motivation.”
      Despite his famous win, Douglas only fought for the world titles once more in his career.

      “In their country they are not showing the truth. They are not showing that bombs are landing in civilian houses, or in a birthing hospital, or a few days ago a rocket landed in a shopping mall.
      “Their soldiers, their people are saying on the TV that we are shooting each other.”
      Incredibly this plight has not forced the Orthodox Christian to question his faith.
      Instead he steadfastly believes this latest challenge is a gift from God that will help him overcome AJ and his new training team once again.

      Millions who had never seen Ali fight – apart from his endearing charisma – were attracted to him because of his fearless campaigning for human rights.
      When a video of Ali was shown talking to a tent full of refugees at the Khyber Pass near the Afghan border a tall Arab wearing a white skull cap could be seen in the front row listening with rapt attention – he was identified as Osama bin Laden.
      Ali, a father of nine, whether he was in Asia, Africa, Europe or America was at his most beguiling visiting children in schools and hospitals.
      And, to their huge delight, he would spend hours with them doing his magic tricks.
      Though he was barely audible at times as his symptoms got worse, he never lost his sense of mischief or humour.

      He was often in Britain and on one trip to London, he took time to visit Michael Watson, who was recovering from one of his brain operations, in Homerton hospital.
      Watson said: “It was an overwhelming moment and it undoubtedly helped me in my subsequent recovery.”
      Because it emphasises Ali’s humanity, my favourite story in the book was when he was invited to the Royal Marsden Hospital to cheer up desperately ill cancer patients being treated in strict isolation.

      Gennady Golovkin’s old trainer names three fighters who could beat Canelo Alvarez including champ with 100% KO ratio

      GENNADY GOLOVKIN’S former trainer claimed there are only three fighters who can beat Canelo Alvarez. Sanchez twice cornered GGG against the Mexican superstar, with the first ending in a controversial draw in 2017 that many felt Golovkin deserved to win, before losing the rematch a year later.

      Golovkin has since left the esteemed coach but will fight in a trilogy bout with Canelo this September.
      Sanchez still believes the Kazakh, along with David Benavidez and Artur Beterbiev, potentially have the beating of boxing’s pound-for-pound best.
      He told FightHype earlier this year: “The only people who can be a tough fight for Canelo are Beterbiev, Benavidez, and a well-trained Golovkin.
      “Those are the only people who can beat Canelo. The ones who walk him down. These are the only ones who can threaten him.” 
      Al Haymon’s Premier Boxing Champions offered Canelo the chance to fight Jermall Charlo, 32, and Benavidez, 25.
      But he opted for Eddie Hearn’s two-bout deal against Dmitry Bivol on May 7 and then Golovkin in September.

      But now the Baddest Man on the Planet has revealed he “couldn’t feel the punches” – because he was on shrooms DURING the fight.

      Iron Mike said: “We don’t use [mushrooms] to run away. It helps me train, it helps me box better.
      “When I’m fighting, I really don’t feel the punches. It’s really just like some magical s***.
      “You saw me just fight [against Roy Jones Jr]. I was on shrooms.
      “I wouldn’t fight without them, are you crazy? And some weed. 
      “I wish I did this s*** in my career, I’m so f***ing mad I didn’t know about this s***”.
      Tyson has admitted “doing shrooms” with YouTuber Jake Paul in the past after the YouTuber called out the heavyweight legend for a money-spinning fight.
      ‘I WOULD HAVE BEEN A BETTER FIGHTER’
      And he knocked back four of them during a 2020 podcast with Jake’s brother Logan.
      Tyson was spotted earlier this year grappling with a huge bag of cannabis on his Cali farm, which brings in around $500k every month.
      He sent social media into meltdown after he was snapped holding the industrial-sized bag of marijuana as he launched a new strain – Tyson 2.0.
      Iron Mike is a known advocate of weed, with the former world champion previously declaring he smokes £33,000 of the drug every month.
      He told Revolt how he wished he had been able to smoke during his fight days.

      Mike said: “I should have been smoking while I was fighting.
      “I would have been such a better fighter. There was one time where I did fight with cannabis and I broke the guy’s back.
      “I busted his spleen, broke his eye socket. I just did a number. And I was high.
      “There may be some children in [the audience] and I don’t advise you to get high while participating in sports.”
      Tyson recently claimed he’d convinced Lennox Lewis to face him in an exhibition fight – despite the pair having a combined age of 111.
      Tyson told TMZ as he left a restaurant in Los Angeles on June 21: “I’m gonna fight Lennox Lewis.”

      Claressa Shields eyes world titles in boxing and MMA with PFL return set in November after Savannah Marshall super-fight

      CLARESSA SHIELDS can become an unprecedented world champion in boxing and MMA as she eyes the Professional Fighters League season.Only UFC legend and newly inducted boxing Hall of Famer Holly Holm has held titles in both combat codes.

      But Shields, who calls herself The Greatest Women of All Time, could be about to change that. 
      Double Olympic gold, two undisputed world titles and belts in three divisions is not enough for the outspoken American. 
      She turned professional in MMA last year with the PFL and is currently 1-1 in the cage. 
      Shields’ immediate focus is on her unification super-fight with rival Savannah Marshall, set for September 10 in London.

      But she is due to make a quick turnaround with an MMA return eyed for November in the hopes of fighting in the PFL’s season next year. 
      It would offer Shields the chance to not only win PFL’s $1million cash prize but also add an MMA world title to her name.
      So even while usually finding herself as an underdog and outsider in the cage, the boxing star carries a weight of expectation wherever she fights.

      “Everybody’s going to want me to go out there and do spectacular things, even in the PFL season.
      “There’s always pressure, even if I am the underdog in the PFL or the underdog in boxing, because of what I’ve already accomplished. 
      “I can’t go out there and not perform and not have a good fight because it messes with all my hard work from before. 
      “I always have to keep that up and do better than my last fight. There’s always pressure. 
      “Even people know I’ve only been doing MMA for a year, everybody thinks I’m super-women.
      “That’s why I’m fighting September in boxing and then fighting in November after in MMA.” 
      Fighters in the PFL season have two regular season bouts, where points are earned for your method of victory.
      The top four then qualify for the play-offs, which is a semi-final to determine the last two.

      Finalists then fight in a dramatic winner-take-all showpiece, where the $1m prize cheque is on the line. 
      Shields expects to focus solely on MMA after her grudge match with Marshall, 31, where all four middleweight boxing titles will be on the line. 
      She has only twice tasted defeat in her life, most recently last October in the PFL cage. 
      The other was against Marshall in the amatuer boxing ranks – a win her British nemesis has been keen to bring up when given the chance. 
      Shields said: “I wanted to do MMA to challenge myself.
      “Even the amatuer loss ten years ago, I was 17, and for those who don’t know, I’m 27 now! 
      “If you’re living off a win from ten years ago – Lord have mercy.
      “But, as we move forward, I won the Olympics two months later and I’ve been the best, the greatest ever since.
