TYSON FURY has had fans begging for him to make a comeback after sharing recent training footage. The unbeaten WBC champion is continuing to put in two sessions a day despite supposedly being retired.

Fury uploaded a video of himself in his private Morecambe gym hitting a heavy bag and firing off combinations.
And the small glimpse of the Gypsy King back in boxing gloves was enough to have his comment section filled with calls to fight again.
One posted: “Might as well return.”
Another said: “The champ…. Don’t retire yet fury keep going I wanna see you get all the belts.”

And his US promoter Bob Arum hinted the retirement could be short lived if they are able to provide an offer Fury cannot refuse.
Arum told FightHype: “Tyson Fury is retired and he will be retired until we come to him with the next big event and then he will unretire.”
But, Fury hit back: “I’ve just read today that I’m supposed to be coming out of retirement.
“That’s news to me. As far as I’m concerned I’m staying [retired].”

ANTHONY JOSHUA is working with his new coach Robert Garcia to overcome any mental demons he might suffer in the ring. Joshua has added former super-featherweight world champion Garcia to his camp before rematching Oleksandr Usyk in the summer.

AJ, beaten by 35-year-old Usyk over 12 rounds in September, comes into the fight trying to replicate his revenge mission over Andy Ruiz Jr.
Joshua, 32, was knocked out by the Mexican-American in June 2019 but won the rematch in Saudi Arabia six months later.
But Garcia fears the British superstar has not fully recovered mentally from his first defeat and they are working to change that.
The trainer said on his YouTube channel: “A lot of fighters, they come off a loss – like probably after the Andy Ruiz Jr fight – they come off a loss thinking that was never gonna happen.

Despite Fury’s collection of super-cars, he has claimed to drive a modest Volkswagen Passat which costs just £20,000 and is seen in his latest video.

7. Vasyl Lomachenko – lightweight – 34
Before the 2020 loss to Teofimo Lopez, the two-time Olympic champ and fastest man to ever land world titles in three divisions was No1 with most people, showing how quick and cruel the sport moves and how silly these lists can look.
Two convincing wins since his second pro defeat appear to have repaired anything that was physically or mentally wrong with Loma, whose record now reads 16-2.
Tragically the little Ukraine genius – who is a natural featherweight competing a couple of classes above – is now fighting against Russian forces leaving his career on hold.
But even if his career ends tomorrow he goes down as an all-time great.

6. Josh Taylor – super-lightweight – 31
The 19-0 Scot is not to blame for the terrible scorecards that gifted him an undeserved win over Jack Catterall, but his air of invincibility has definitely suffered a dent.
Prior to that bout Taylor was one of British boxing’s biggest success stories, racing to undisputed 10st glory by taking on all of the best in his way and beating them convincingly.
He is definitely not the first big star to dodge a costly bullet thanks to some skew-whiff scoring.
A rematch with Catterall is almost essential for Taylor to comfortably move on with his career and the outcome would have a big impact on his place in these subjective lists.
Otherwise it’s a leap up to welterweight where there are almost a dozen mouthwatering fights for him to patch-up his reputation.

5. Oleksandr Usyk – heavyweight – 35
The 2012 Olympic winner looked vulnerable in his first two heavyweight bouts – after being crowned undisputed cruiserweight boss – but made a mockery of his doubters when he schooled Anthony Joshua for three of the heavyweight world titles in September.
The mastermind southpaw has not boxed in his Ukraine home since 2015 – and sadly thanks to Russia’s invasion may never again – which makes his 19-0 record and belt collection even more impressive.
A second win over AJ and a bout with Fury or Deontay Wilder could elevate his position further.

4. Naoya Inoue – bantamweight – 29
Japan’s pocket rocket now has a perfect 23-0 record – with 20 inside the distance – and world titles in three divisions.
The 5ft 5in power puncher flies under boxing’s mainstream radar as he steers clear of interviews and unnecessary attention, but his sensational 2019 points win over with the rightly adored Nonito Donaire was box office action.
And the rematch on June 7 was a two-round demolition job that confirmed exactly why he is nicknamed The Monster.
Inoue wants the remaining WBO title – held by Liverpool’s Paul Butler – ASAP and has vowed to leap up another weight if that fight is not presented, where he could add to his legacy even further.

3. Tyson Fury – heavyweight – 33
The 6ft 9in switch hitter is now a 19st power puncher who can also dance and move like a middleweight.
Throw in a Mensa-level ring IQ and the most freakish powers of recovery most people have ever seen and you start to wonder how anyone ever beats this prime version of the Gypsy King.
An era-defining win over the victor of an Usyk vs Joshua rematch and the Morecambe master – now 32-0-1 – will be hard to keep off top spot.

2. Canelo Alvarez – super-middleweight – 31
The 57-2-2 four-weight icon must not be punished for daring to be great and attacking the light-heavyweight division, especially when so many of his rivals and peers play the hurt business much more safely.
The 31-year-old’s legacy is secured and working his way up from 10st to 12st 7lbs will always be admired.
The two controversial decisions against Gennady Golovkin and the Bivol defeat are now the only marks on a magnificent blueprint of how boxing should be done.
He will now face GGG in a trilogy bout encounter on September 17 for all the belts.

Funez revealed: “I believe they have a gameplan for Joshua to go forward and be more disciplined, put pressure on Usyk and eventually knock him out. That’s the way I see it.
“You cannot outbox a boxer like Usyk and Joshua’s confidence might be a little low after that defeat, he hasn’t seemed to have fully recovered since the loss to Andy Ruiz, he’s not as confident as he once was. 
“We will wait to see if that comes back.”
Untested Spanish trainer Angel Fernandez has been training Joshua at his Loughborough University base since the McCracken divorce.
And the new addition of 47-year-old former-world-champ-turned-corner-king will take some getting used to – especially if Garcia offers up some of his own strong opinions and they clash.
“Both trainers are going to have to get in sync with each other quickly,” Funez said.

LENNOX LEWIS has spoken of how he and Mike Tyson were destined for greatness when put together for a sparring session as teenagers.After winning the World Junior Championships, the British heavyweight was informed his true rival for the crown hadn’t even made it to the ring.
Lewis has opened up on how he first met Tyson
The pair sparred for a number of days in Catskill, New York
Given Tyson’s preference not to fly out to the Dominican Republic for the competition, Lewis was encouraged to meet him.
Speaking on the Joe Rogan Experience in 2019, Lewis, now 56, recalled: “I won the World Junior Championships in Santo Domingo, Dominican Republic and I remember the American team were saying, ‘Oh well you never fought the best’.
“I thought the Americans sent the best team? ‘Yeah but one guy, he doesn’t like taking planes and his manager don’t like taking planes either.’
“They told me it was Mike Tyson [and] Cus D’Amato. So me and my trainer left Canada and we drove all the way up there [to Catskill, Tyson’s base].
“While we were up there, [Donovan] Razor Ruddock was up there. They said, ‘Razor Ruddock didn’t spar with us’. So I said, ‘OK, I’ll spar with you, I’m here for four days’.”
Lewis gave a fascinating insight into how Tyson, now 55, was learning his trade, aged just 17 at the time.
He added: “The first time Tyson actually met me he was a really nice guy, he took me to his room and showed me some old flicks that I have never seen before of old time fighters.
“He would tell me about each fighter, he studied them. This was where he get his style of fighting from.”

Both men went on become heavyweight champion of the world numerous times and finally fought 20 years ago to the day, in 2002.
On that occasion, Lewis came out on top with an eighth-round knockout.
With both youngsters tipped for great success, the West Ham-born fighter admits to having a future bout on his mind when sparring Tyson.
He said: “First day in the gym, bell went, he came across and he was trying to kill me.
“I did my Muhammad Ali thing obviously and stayed away from his power, but the first day was really hectic.
“The second day was a little hectic but got better as it went along, and then the last day I actually got the better of him.
“I remember Cus D’Amato saying, ‘Mike! You’re gonna meet him some day, don’t you do that!’
“And that always echoed on my mind, ‘Will we ever fight?’. Because Cus D’Amato said we were going to fight, and it did happen.”
Last year, Tyson and Lewis were rumoured to be in talks for an exhibition fight, with Iron Mike returning to the ring to fight Roy Jones Jr late in 2020.
