JAKE PAUL is reportedly close to sealing a deal to fight the son of boxing legend Hasim Rahman.The YouTuber-turned-boxer has been left furious after his grudge match against Tommy Fury looks set to collapse for a second time.

Paul has laid all the blame squarely at Fury’s feet, saying that the younger brother of WBC heavyweight champ Tyson is refusing to go to the US Embassy to sort out a Visa problem.
The show was set for August 6, with Paul now scrabbling around for an alternative opponent.
And according to Sports Illustrated, he might just have found one.
Paul is believed to be closing in on a deal to fight Hasim Rahman Jr, the 31-year-old son of a very famous father.

TYSON FURY is reportedly in discussions over a possible return to the WWE.The Gypsy King, 33, made his wrestling debut back in 2019 when he faced Braun Strowman at the pay-per-view event Crown Jewel in Saudi Arabia.

After the win over Whyte, Fury reiterated his claims before the bout that he was retiring from boxing.

Fury has been linked with an exhibition clash against the likes of UFC champion Francis Ngannou and Thor – real name Hafthor Bjornsson.
But according to GiveMeSport, the world heavyweight champion’s next in-ring action is in talks to take place in the WWE.
Fury stated earlier this year that he planned to return to wrestling in both July and September.

“He changed my style, he corrected my mistakes and I thought before that I already knew boxing when I arrived here.
“But when I stepped foot in the gym with coach Freddie Roach, I’m not good enough!
“He taught me a lot about boxing, a lot of new styles and techniques. He changed my style and I’m a better fighter now.”
Under the tutelage of Roach, Pacquiao became an advisor and mentor to Magsayo.
Magsayo said: “For the first time that was saw each other, in the Philippines, he said to me, ‘Keep training. Train hard ever day and be disciplined’.
“That’s what he said to me. He inspired me in every fight. When I saw him training on the TV. Every time he won, I was inspired.”
After Pacquiao retired in September 2021, Magsayo was billed as the man to fill the void.

But as he puts it, nobody is capable of replacing boxing’s only eight-division champion.
Magsayo said: “It’s very good that they call me, ‘The next Manny Pacquiao’. But for me, there is no next Manny Pacquiao.
“There’s only one Manny Pacquiao. But for me, I’m going to make my own name. It’s been an honour to represent the Philippines.
“It’s my country, I give them honour and I do my best every fight to win.”
Pacquiao and Roach – one of boxing’s most successful duos – have played a huge part in Magsayo’s rise to the top.
But no one deserves more credit than his long-time wife Frances, who manages her husband’s career.
Magsayo said: “It’s very important that you have a wife to support me. It’s good that she organises everything about my camp.
“She’s very supportive, all my needs she gives to me. She organises the whole team, and the contracts for my fight.

Magsayo, 27, stunned Gary Russell Jr, 34, in January to become world champ.
And he defends his title for the first time against Mexican Vargas, 31.
His idol Pacquiao had some memorable rivalries with Mexicans Barrera, Erik Morales and most famously Juan Manuel Marquez.
It leaves Magsayo eyeing similar series’ with his sights set on Leo Santa Cruz, 33, if he overcomes Vargas, who has 22 KOs in his 35 unbeaten fights.
Magsayo said: “He’s a good fighter, a tough fighter but he’s never faced a fighter like me. So he’s going to surprised with what’s coming.
“He’s not a hard-hitter. I think it’s going to be a good fight. But whatever he does, we have a plan.”
“Now, my goal is to first get past this test of course with Vargas, but then I want to unify with champions and then undisputed.

Guillermo Rigondeaux looks unrecognisable after suffering horror facial burns following pressure cooker explosion

BOXER Guillermo Rigondeaux shared pictures for the first time since being left with horror facial injures from a pressure cooker explosion. Rigondeaux was hospitalised in March after boiling water splashed into his eyes during the explosion.

The incident occurred at the Cuban’s Miami home and left him with severely burned corneas.
Rigondeaux initially lost 80 per cent of his vision as a result and his chest was also burned.
The southpaw has now taken to social media to reveal the extent of his injuries which sadly left him almost unrecognisable.
Rigondeaux, 41, captioned it: “Every night when I close my eyes this is what I see. Sometimes it’s hard to forget.”

The double Olympic champion, once considered one of the best pound-for-pound stars in the world, has lost his last two fights.
Defeat to Vincent Astrolabio, 25, in February was Rigondeaux’s most recent.
He famously lost for the first time in 2017 against Vasiliy Lomachenko, 34, after moving up to super-featherweight.
But following his shock accident, Rigondeaux is yet to return with his boxing future very much uncertain.

He underwent surgery as his manager Alex Bornote spoke out about the accident at the time.
Bornote told the El Nuevo Herald: “It really is an unfortunate thing.
“When the pot exploded and we saw how Rigondeaux was left, we thought the worst, because his face and eyes looked very bad as a result of the impact of the explosion. But we hope that he will recover.”
