Anthony Joshua warned that Oleksandr Usyk is sending home 6ft 6in sparring partners and demands ‘WAR’ in training camp

OLEKSANDR USYK is sending 6ft 6in sparring partners home in prepration for his rematch with Anthony Joshua. The Ukrainian faces AJ for a second time on August 20 in Saudi Arabia, having won the heavyweight belts in September.

Usyk is currently in Dubai, sparring the likes of Martin Bakole and Nursultan Amanzholov.
And according to Amanzholov’s manager Aamir Ali, not everyone is hanging around, not matter how big they are.
Ali told Sky Sports: “He was sending heavyweights, six foot six and whatnot back home.
“Nursultan was the one of the only heavyweights that he kept on throughout the whole camp.

Joshua, 32, suffered the first defeat of his career when he came up against 25/1 underdog Andy Ruiz Jr in New York back in 2019.
The British star was left battered and bruised after he was knocked to the canvas four times by the hard-hitting Mexican.
He was also outpointed by Oleksandr Usyk last year at Tottenham Hotspur Stadium.
But he has revealed that it was Klitschko, 46, that possessed the most powerful punches he has come up against.
During a JD Sports Instagram live prior to his first fight with Usyk, he said: “Who hit me the hardest? Yeah, Klitschko.
“When I went in with Klitschko, yeah, I just knew this could go two ways.
“I could either win or I’m gonna be laid out on my back. You know when you get carried out on a stretcher?”

Joshua was floored for the first time in his career when Klitschko landed a heavy right hand in the sixth round.
But the Watford-born bruiser bounced back in spectacular fashion to add the WBA world heavyweight title to his IBF crown.
Klitschko crashed to the canvas three times before Joshua secured the victory in front of 90,000 fans at Wembley.
Joshua is determined to win back his belts when he rematches Usyk next month.
The duo will meet again on August 20 in Jeddah, with Tyson Fury potentially being tempted out of retirement to face the winner.

HASIM RAHMAN JR has revealed how he could be left with just $5,000 for his fight with Jake Paul. The American heavyweight has signed to fight Paul at the 14st 4lb cruiserweight limit of 200lb.

But due to his superior size and experience advantage, a rehydration clause was inserted into the contract.
It means Rahman cannot exceed 214lb on the morning of the bout, when he is required to hit the scales again.
There is no limit to what he enters the ring at, but the son of a legend will be docked 25 per cent of his purse for every lb over weight.
It means in theory, if Rahman is 4lb over the limit on either day, he would lose everything and be left with the $5,000 minimum.

Warren’s defence followed after Paul hit out at Fury while speaking on The MMA Hour.
He said: “Boxing was a dying sport before I came and saved the entire sport basically single-handedly.

Warren was in talks for Paul to twice fight Fury’s brother Tommy, but both times the celebrity grudge match fell through.
Firstly Tommy, 23, pulled out last December after suffering a broken rib before a US travel ban axed the rescheduled date.
Paul, 25, has now signed to face heavyweight Hasim Rahman Jr, 31, in replace as Warren praised the YouTuber-turned boxer.
He said: “I like Jake Paul. I think he’s used the position and the following he has got to great effect and has made a lot of money.
“Good luck to him, he’s a good promoter but he’s not fought any boxers yet, has he?
“This is going to be the first boxer he has fought. He’s not saved boxing that’s for sure.”

Anthony Joshua will LOSE against Oleksandr Usyk in rematch and be knocked out by Joe Joyce, says Mike Tyson’s ex-coach

HALL OF FAME trainer Teddy Atlas has predicted Anthony Joshua will get beaten by Oleksandr Usyk AND Joe Joyce. Joshua lost to Usyk last September but the pair are set to rematch on August 20 in Saudi Arabia.

And Joyce – who has campaigned to fight AJ – is in line to face the winner as the WBO mandatory challenger.
Trainer Atlas said on his podcast: “Joe Joyce could wind up fighting the winner of Usyk and Joshua.
“I’ll tell you something I think he knocks out Joshua. How does that feel for you Brits? Put that in your pipe and smoke it.”
Atlas has a vast amount of experience training heavyweights, having been Mike Tyson’s first ever coach.

He also cornered former world champions Michael Moorer and Alexander Povetkin.
And Atlas has backed Usyk, 35, to beat Joshua, 32, once more.
He said: “I think Usyk’s gonna win. I can’t go against Usyk, how can I go against the guy, he gives you no reason to.

McCracken also coached Froch, 45, who believes Garcia can make AJ a more aggressive heavyweight fighter.
