Chael Sonnen said Floyd Mayweather got ‘BEAT UP’ by Conor McGregor
But the Irish UFC superstar did win some of the early stages, before tiring down the stretch and being stopped on his feet.
Sonnen, an ex-UFC title challenger-turned analyst, was referencing Nate Diaz’s odd on beating rising contender Khamzat Chimaev.
And in doing so he made an outlandish claim about McGregor’s performance in his boxing debut against Mayweather.
Sonnen said on his YouTube channel: “12-to-1 underdog.

“That line is not going to hold, I’m telling you right now, but [Diaz] is a 12-to-1 underdog.
“Diaz was an 8-1 underdog. Now 11-to-1 is what Conor McGregor vs. Floyd Mayweather was.
“It closed to 8.5, but Conor was an 11-to-1 dog, went out, and beat up a guy for 30 minutes. [Mayweather] lost four of nine completed rounds.
“He got his ass kicked regardless of what the crooks in the Nevada State Athletic Commission told you that night.”

Mayweather, 45, announced his official retirement after beating McGregor, 34, but he has boxed in three exhibition bouts since.
The first was against featherweight kickboxer Tenshin Nasukawa, 23, in 2018 before a return against YouTuber Logan Paul, 27, in June 2021.
Mayweather was in May then due to box Don Moore in Dubai until the death of 73-year-old UAE President Sheikh Khalifa bin Zayed al-Nahyan.
It delayed the fight by a week, later taking place in Abu Dhabi, where Moore was dominated over eight rounds.
The unbeaten Hall of Famer has since announced he will return in September back in Japan, against MMA star Mikuru Asakura, 29.
But FightHype, a media company Mayweather famously favours, reported a rematch with McGregor was in the negotiation stage.

KSI vs Alex Wassabi has been cancelled because of an injury to Wassabi.
Wassabi wrote on Instagram: “With all lthese rumours going around, there’s only two things that are true.
“I’ve recently suffered a serious injury and I will be back very soon.
“You don’t play with concussions. New fight date announcement on the way.”
KSI last fought in a pro boxing win over Logan Paul
    Will the event go ahead?
Jake Paul offered to step in and fight KSI on two weeks’ notice, but KSI wasn’t having any of it.
“You and MVP are so untrustworthy. First Tommy, Rahman and now Wassabi,” KSI said on Twitter.
“Even when you do put events on, all you do is lie to your fans and inflate your numbers by like 50 times.
“We know your dealings with each promotion & what you actually make. It’s a joke.

Hasim Rahman Jr ready to fight Jake Paul NEXT WEEK and claims he can make 200lb after hosting unofficial weigh in

HASIM RAHMAN JR said he is ready to fight Jake Paul NEXT WEEK – and at their original weight of 200lb. The pair of former sparring partners were due to face each other this weekend at New York’s iconic Madison Square Garden.
Hasim Rahman Jr said he is ready to fight Jake Paul
But a weight disagreement between the two forced the entire Madison Square Garden pay-per-view to be scrapped.
Rahman signed to fight at the 14st 4lb cruiserweight limit of 200lb, despite being 16 stone in his last fight in April.
So the New York State Athletic Commission wanted to track his cut but later changed the fight weight to 205lb.
Paul then spoke out to claim Rahman refused the change and would scale no less than 215lb, prompting the MSG card to be axed.

But Rahman denied the allegations and staged a private weigh in to prove he could make the new 205lb limit.
The heavyweight actually came in at 206.6lb – nearly 2lb overweight – but called to fight Paul next week – believing he can make 200lb.
Rahman said: “The original date for this fight was August 13th, that was the original date. They moved it forward.
“Did they move it forward because they wanted to give me less time? Did they move it forward because of whatever reason? I dunno.

“But had the fight been next Saturday, I probably would have made 200. But you know, it’s unfair that he pulled the plug like that.”
Paul, 25, initially announced his boxing return for August 13 but changed it to a week earlier after signing to fight Tommy Fury, 23.
Although Fury was forced out amid a US visa issue, which caused Rahman to step in.
After the NYSAC changed the weight to 205lb, Rahman had until 11.59pm to sign a deal for a new agreement.
He accused Paul of cancelling the fight four hours beforehand, giving him no chance to commit to the fresh terms.
But SunSport understands Paul’s team were informed hours before the public cancellation that Rahman could not make the weight.
And Showtime executive Stephen Espinoza – who was putting the PPV on his platform – added to this claim.
Espinoza tweeted: “He repeatedly assured us he would make 200. He signed a contract saying he’d make 200.

“And he sent us a video showing that he weighed 216 when he signed the contract a month before the fight. Shame on us for believing him.”
He added: “205 was max limit. Over 205 the fight was off, and he told us he couldn’t go lower than 215.”

He tweeted: “My manager just told me KSI is down but only if I fight him for free and he keeps all the revenue.

Paul, 25, was initially due to face Tommy Fury, 23, but the British ex-Love Islander was hit with a US visa issue.
And before Rahman, 31, was brought in as a replacement, KSI offered to allow Paul to fight Fury on his undercard.
And he referenced this when replying to Paul, appearing to pour cold water on the prospect on them fighting at short notice.
