      The violent victory was made even more impressive by the fact the Dark Destroyer had uppercutted a gash into the Brighton brute’s tongue in the fourth round.
      Eubank spent the next five breaks swallowing his own blood so trainer Ronnie Davies would not see the extent of the damage and rescue his man from the fire, before bludgeoning Benn to victory.
      On Saturday night the sons of the brilliant rivals clash at a 157lbs catch weight and 33-year-old Eubank Jr insists he will batter 26-year-old Conor Benn for the verbal and physical abuse he inflicted on his father.
      But 58-year-old Benn vows to only apologise for one of his assaults – while doubling down on the brutal other.

      The former two-weight world champ told SunSport: “Chris Jr says he wants revenge for me saying I hated his dad.
      “Now I know that was a very stupid thing to say.
      “I don’t hate Chris. I did split the side of his tongue and I wish I split the other side too, because we are in the hurt business and maybe Jr doesn’t quite understand that.
      “When I see Chris Jr I will apologise for saying that. Things like that don’t need to be said.

      “I said it at the time and at the time I didn’t like him, I disliked him a lot. But I really don’t hate anybody.
      “If I have to apologise to Chris Jr then so be it, so be it.
      “But I still wish I split both sides of his dad’s tongue because this is the hurt business and maybe little Chris needs to grow up.”
      Benn Sr was one of the most volatile figures in modern British boxing – from a seriously spicy selection! – so it’s no surprise his heavy-handed lad is a chip-off-the-old-block.
      They fight the same, speak the same and dad reckons they even hurt and heal the same.
      “None of my other kids are like Conor,” he said proudly. “Me and Conor are just the same.
      “We have the same personality and traits and weaknesses but we almost have the same bodies.
      “My comeback fight got cancelled when my shoulder went, that was Conor’s next injury.
      ‘WE ARE JUST IDENTICAL’
      “When I bust my ankle or wrist, he always does it a few weeks or months later.
      “We even have the same scar just around our eyes, we are just identical.
      The Chris Eubanks are identical and so are me and my son.”
      Conor was rushed into a 2016 pro debut – on a massive Anthony Joshua pay-per-view show – with barely any amateur experience or training but mentor Tony Sims has worked wonders.
      And his reformed father – a notorious party animal away from the ring – is amazed by the dedication his boy has shown to the sport.
      He said: “When I used to train in Tenerife I would be down in a bar called Rah Rah’s until all hours and then straight to training from there.
      “But Conor finishes training and goes straight home to bed to relax, he gets in proper rest.

      “Conor will get up at 4am, 5am, 6am in the morning to go running and train and that used to be the time that I would get home. His dedication is unbelievable.”
      The one thing they cannot agree on is who is the better chef – but thankfully their shared spirituality stops things getting too heated in the kitchen and the gym.
      When SunSport told Nigel how highly Conor rates himself as a cook, he roared: “He is a good cook but where the hell do you think he learned? I taught him everything he knows.
      “My mum wanted me to be a chef, I love cooking and it has rubbed off on Conor.
      “Me and Conor have a blinding relationship. We have a laugh and a chat with each other and with everybody else. We wear our hearts on our sleeves.

      Anthony Joshua had a beaming smile as he stood trackside
      The Brit, 32, took time out of negotiations to make a track side showing at the London Marathon to hand out drinks to the competitors.
      He could be seen with a beaming smile as he handed drinks over to the participants as they went past.
      At least 42,000 runners have been confirmed at the event, with a host of celebrity participants among them.
      The former WBO, WBA, IBF and IBO belt holder is scheduled to fight WBC belt holder Fury in December.

      However, Fury publicly declared the fight was off due to Joshua and his team not signing the fight contract on his Monday deadline.
      Fury branded his compatriot a ‘coward’ is a stunning rant on social media.
      However, negotiations remain ongoing over the December 3 bout.
      Joshua lost the chance to become a unified heavyweight world champion in the Fury fight after failing to recapture his belts with back-to-back defeats to Ukrainian heavyweight Oleksandr Usyk.

      “There’s all the top names and they’re obviously great, exciting fights.
      “I’m at the top of the division now in the elite level, so I will fight anyone.”

      Adrien Broner calls out Nate Diaz for fight as UFC legend is instantly offered boxing bout after quitting MMA

      ADRIEN BRONER has called out Nate Diaz for a boxing fight – just after the icon quit UFC. Diaz, 37, called time on the MMA franchise following his dramatic win over Tony Ferguson last month.

      And now the free agent has been offered a bout under boxing rules.
      Broner, 33, took to Instagram with a post challenging the Californian southpaw, who recently launched his own fight promotion.
      The 34-4-1 (1) Ohio star wrote: “Nate Diaz you coming over to boxing I will give yo a** everything you looking for #letsgetit”

      Broner has been boxing world champion in four weight categories and returned to the ring in February 2021 to beat Jovanie Santiago on points.
      But he knows a showdown in the ring with Diaz would draw in huge numbers of fans and dollars.
      Diaz recently mocked rival Conor McGregor’s stint in the boxing world – claiming that his rival “failed” to take over in the ring.
      The feuding pair then had another further swipes at each other as McGregor embarks on a career in acting.

      If he snubs Broner’s wager, Diaz also has the option of a bare-knuckle dust-up with fellow ex-UFC man Mike Perry.
      However, it seems unlikely the UFC will be able to take advantage of a three-month exclusivity clause in MMA to get the 21-13 former Ultimate Fighter 5 champ to reverse his decision to leave.
      Diaz, who has Bellator vying for his signature, revealed the “only” fight he would take in UFC would be against Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson.

      “Aged 15, years ago. He will fall out with boxing for a week and then he loves it again. 
      “He loves boxing. Tyson has got nothing else without boxing. He loves the game so much.

      “He said to me, ‘I was retired for four weeks and my life has fallen to pieces. I can feel my life crumbling’.
      “He said, ‘My life was crumbling by the second’. He said he kept walking into the gym and smelling the gloves.

      “He said he realised he was not done yet and not by a long chalk. So I said to him, ‘Son if you feel like that, keep going until you don’t feel like it anymore’.”

      Fury first reigned as heavyweight king in 2015 after upsetting Wladimir Klitschko in Germany.
      But he fell into depression and battled substance abuse, which led to almost three years out of the ring.
      It sparked one of sport’s greatest comeback stories, as Fury lost TEN STONE to return in 2018 and win the heavyweight title again two years later.
      Fury still holds the WBC belt and is seemingly out of retirement again as he continues talks to face Anthony Joshua, 32, on December 3.
      And dad John insisted his son will be back in the shape of his life.
      He said: “At the minute, you’ve got the best Tyson. He’s in the pump of his life. I think he just wanted to capitalise on how he feels.
      “He trains hard, twice a day still. I do think at this moment in time, Tyson Fury is unbeatable. 
      “I’m not just saying it because he is my son, but he has given me the right to sit here and big him up.

      CONOR BENN’S coach admitted he would consider CANCELLING the Chris Eubank Jr fight if the 157lb catchweight agreement is not met.Benn is set to move up 10lb from the 10st 7lb welterweight division for the next generation bout at the O2 next Saturday.

      But Eubank Jr is braced to make a career-lowest weight and drop 3lb from his usual 160lb middleweight limit.
      A rehydration limit is also in place as the pair have to weigh in on the day of the fight, with financial penalties imposed to make the weight.
      There is also an option to cancel the fight if either comes above 158.5lb, something Benn’s trainer Tony Sims would consider doing.
      Sims told the Daily Mail: “We would definitely have a look at that. But I don’t think he will miss the weight by that much.

      “Number one, I don’t think he would have suggested that weight, and number two I don’t think he would risk the cancellation.
      “He might risk a fine on a pound, but the next pound up I don’t think he’d risk a cancellation.
      “But I can’t really speak for him or how he does things, so who knows.”
      Eubank Jr, 32, has continuously trolled Benn, 26, by posting videos eating fast food and sweet treats.

      That is despite his dad wanting the fight AXED amid fears over his son dropping the extra weight.
      Sims sparred Benn’s dad Nigel in the build up to his famous 1993 rematch with Eubank, which ended in a draw.
      And despite the admiration for the British boxing legend, the esteemed coach did not take the comments too seriously.
      Sims said: “I respect Chris, he’s been a great fighter and that, but a lot of things that he says people don’t really take a lot of notice of.
      “He comes out with some strange comments, so I don’t think anyone took him that serious – even his own son.”

      Joyce admitted he does not want to rely on his granite chin for too long, despite it being a lethal weapon.
