Golovkin also says judges are no longer scoring in Canelo’s favour.
The Kazakhstani added that those with the cards are “not loyal to Canelo anymore” and do not feel the burden of his image.
He said on Canelo’s first defeat since 2013 against Dmitry Bivol: “In his last fight, the knockout was not necessary [to beat him].
“It’s encouraging that the judges are not loyal to Canelo anymore. They don’t feel this burden of his image.”

‘It’s gonna be a massacre’ – Anthony Joshua warned against fighting Tyson Fury by Gypsy King’s US promoter

Joshua has been offered a 40 per cent split of what will be the biggest purse in the history of British boxing.
Fury is keen for the bout to happen in late November or early December but Joshua is stalling over accepting.
And Arum believes the former world champion is unlikely to take the fight following back-to-back defeats to Oleksandr Usyk.
Arum told Boxing Social: “I don’t think it’s gonna happen because, while Fury would want it to happen, I put myself in the shoes of Eddie Hearn and Joshua.
    READ MORE IN BOXING
“And after losing twice to Usyk, the first thing you want to do is to get him back in the ring and get him two fights where it restores his confidence.
“If he goes back in the ring now with Fury, it’s gonna be a massacre.”
AJ has adopted Usyk’s brutal swimming regime in a bid to get back to his best, claiming he “loves a challenge”.
But instead of a bout with Fury, his promoter Eddie Hearn is eyeing a rematch against Dillian Whyte, whom he beat in 2015 – or former champion Deontay Wilder.

As result, Arum believes AJ will not go for the Fury fight despite being offered a fair financial package.
Arum added: “I think that [the purse split] is pretty fair, right? I mean, Joshua’s not a champion anymore.
“But again, let’s not jump – I don’t believe that Fury against Joshua will happen this year because everything that I know about boxing, from Joshua’s standpoint, indicates that it won’t happen.” More

The Brighton middleweight has since revealed his legendary old man – 56-year-old Chris Sr – has been in touch to confirm his role in the 157lbs second-generation scrap.
And he hopes photos and videos of Conor, 25, and bitter 1990s rival Nigel – who Sr holds one win over and a shared controversial draw – training together on the Isle of Wight and in Essex has sparked up the competitive fire in his father to get the family feud burning again.
He told SunSport at his Hove bunker of a gym: “I always knew that my old man would be in my corner, he has to be a part of this.
“We are here because of him and because of Nigel, without them and what they went through there is no me and Conor.

“My old man hasn’t been in my corner for a long time but this feels right and it feels good. It’s going to be fun to have him back.

“I am sure seeing the Benn family start their camp and train together has lit something of a fire in him.

“So this is going to light a fire under his a*** for sure.”
Eubank Sr is a British boxing icon after iconic rivalries with Benn, Steve Collins, Joe Calzaghe and Carl Thompson.
But his love for the sport and ruthless aggression seemed to shift drastically after his second 1991 war with Michael Watson left him with catastrophic injuries.
Eubank Jr was always shielded from the punishing sport – the even more brutal business – and warned of all the physically and mentally painful pitfalls of the industry.
But he could not resist the urge to follow in his father’s footsteps and he has now convinced him of his mettle for the hurt business and this mega-money showdown.
“I didn’t have to convince him of this fight,” the showman said.
“I made the decision, he may not have been happy with it but it was mine to make.
“I am the one that has to get in there and fight.
“I am sure that now he has seen the excitement and interest from the public – and I mean the mainstream, non-boxing-fan public – that he sees how big this fight can be.
“Because it’s huge and he has come around and is ready to get involved.”

Chris Eubank Jr vs Conor Benn: Date, UK start time, live stream, TV channel, undercard for British dust-up

CHRIS EUBANK JR and Conor Benn are set to clash in a bout that will stoke the memories of the 1990s. It was in 1990 and again in 1993 that Eubank Sr and Nigel Benn fought two brutal world title fights.

Chris Eubank Jr beat Liam Williams on points in FebruaryCredit: Reuters
Eubank Sr won the first one via 9th-round TKO, picking up the WBO middleweight title in the process, but the second fight, which took place at super-middleweight, ended in a draw.
Now 29 years on, their sons will clash.
Eubank Jr, a middleweight who has also campaigned at 168lbs, will come down to his lowest weight ever 157lbs to challenge Benn – a career welterweight.
It was a fight which was first floated into the ether after Eubank Jr beat Liam Williams earlier this year.
Nobody took the idea of it seriously, apart from Benn, who has struggled to find a competitive fight at 147lbs.

When is Eubank Jr vs Benn?

Eubank Jr’s massive clash with Benn will take place on Saturday, October 8, 2022.
The fight will take place at the O2 Arena in front of 18,000 fans.
Both men will clash 29 years on, almost to the day, from Eubank Sr vs Benn 2 at Old Trafford on October 9, 1993.
Ring-walks for the main event are expected to get going at around 10pm UK time.

What channel is it and can it be live streamed?

Eubank Jr vs Benn will be shown live on DAZN PPV
You can subscribe to DAZN for £7.99-a-month, but that does NOT give you streaming access to Eubank Jr vs Benn.
The clash is available for live streaming from the DAZN app, which you can download onto your mobile or tablet device.

The full card is yet to be announced but SunSport will be regularly updating fans once the other fights are revealed.
    What has been said?
Both fighters are excited to put on a showdown which will roll back the years for many boxing fans.
Eubank Jr said: “I grew up watching their legendary battles and always wanting to emulate that, and find my own arch nemesis… could this now be Conor Benn? We will find out.
“He has walked the same path as I have. I know his struggle. Living in the shadow of a legend and trying to break out of that shadow and make his own name. If he can beat me, his name will be made, and he will never walk in his father’s shadow again.

“It’s a fight that’s going to spark the imagination of the British public, that’s what I’m happy about. In terms of anticipation, legacy and hype it’s the biggest fight of my career.”
Whilst Benn said: “This fight is for the legacy and was an opportunity I felt I couldn’t pass up.
“My team and I had other options on the table as I’m currently ranked top 5 with all governing bodies at Welterweight and no doubt I’m looking for a World Championship fight very soon, but this fight is embedded with so much history and I know it’s one the public really want to see.

Oleksandr Usyk plays in charity basketball match as he relaxes while Tyson Fury edges closer to Anthony Joshua fight

OLEKSANDR USYK has been snapped playing a charity basketball game in Ukraine as he relaxes weeks after his win over Anthony Joshua. The Ukrainian boxer is not fighting any further opponents this year due to injury and wanting to spend time with his family.

So while Joshua and Tyson Fury work out a date for their Battle of Britain clash, Usyk was instead enjoying a low-stakes basketball match.
Fury’s camp had wanted to see if a bout could be arranged with the Jeddah winner before the end of the year, but Usyk’s injury ended those plans.
Instead Fury looks set to fight AJ as their two teams try to organise a date for November or December.
The 34-year-old set social media alight as he surprisingly called out Joshua for a fight.

His offer came only weeks after Joshua lost for a second time to Usyk.
The bout gives Joshua the chance to claim the WBC world title if he wins but the camps are still squabbling over dates.
But reports suggest a deal is in the offing, and the fight could be the biggest in British boxing history.
And in another twist, Usyk has even offered to train Joshua for the fight should it come to pass.
