ANTHONY JOSHUA admits his career reconstruction is on the line as he tries to do a demolition job on Otto Wallin. The 34-year-old London 2012 legend lost his WBA, IBF and WBO heavyweight world titles in 2022, after back-to-back Oleksandr Usyk defeats.

The rebuilding Watford hero has given up on his dream of becoming undisputed boss, with father time – as well as top opponents – mounting up against him.
But he has a long-overdue barnstormer with former WBC king Deontay Wilder booked for March 9 – as long as he can come through his Swedish two-fight amateur rival on Saturday.
Win and he is back at boxing’s top table. Lose and – as the former bricklayer admits – all his hard labour will have turned to dust.
“I’m looking to do a demolition job,” he said. “100 per cent. “I am looking to do a good job. I will do a good job.

“I have purse focus on Saturday. That’s where my heart and soul, every cell in my body is fully focused toward Otto Wallin and doing what I know I can do.
“It’s not hard to stay focused, I made that commitment in my life to stay fully locked in.
“I will perform and do my job. I can definitely also window shop in my life, but I also have to say that this is the checkpoint and if I don’t get past this then there is no future.”
This weekend is Joshua’s third fight in the trillion-dollar kingdom, so no prize fighter is more aware of, or enriched by, the crazy cash swirling around the desert.

After coming across as brooding and tense in public media events – but a good laugh with SunSport on Tuesday night – he says all the oil-money in the world won’t make him slip up.
And with the polite boxing ambassador staying home in north London, and the spiteful short-tempered beast of an alter-ego hitting the Riyadh ring, Wallin might be in for his hat-trick hiding.
“I’m here to fight,” he growled. “I’m not here to party or get caught up in the glitz and glamour. I want to fight, I want to perform well.
“I put pressure on myself so of course I am tense, because I want to perform and I want to win.
“I have that urge to win and I want to hurt my opponent as well.”

But it almost ended in disaster as Fury was dropped and deemed fortunate to walk away with a controversial points victory.
Heavyweight rival Joshua – who returns on Saturday against Otto Wallin – watched in shock and is left in no doubt he has the beating of Fury.
He told Sky Sports: “Trust me, you know what I’m saying?
“You know what I’m saying. The bodybuilders. The muscly Africans are coming back. You know what’s going on, I’ve seen it. I know.

“Imagine what I would do, but anyway Otto Wallin, that’s our focus. So I’m going to end it on that.”
Fury, 35, managed to keep his title unification with Usyk alive by scrapping past Ngannou.
But the initial December 23 date was axed and instead the division’s first ever four-belt unification is set for February 17.
In that absence, Joshua, 34, has stepped in to face Wallin.

🥊ANTHONY JOSHUA VS OTTO WALLIN: ALL THE DETAILS YOU NEED AHEAD OF THRILLING SAUDI CLASH🥊
Meanwhile, Deontay Wilder returns against Joseph Parker on the same night as part of a HUGE pay-per-view bill.
Joshua is lined up to fight Wilder next year but the pair former world champions must win their respective bouts first.
So AJ is refusing to focus on anyone else but the dangerous Wallin, who left Fury needing 47 stitches in a points defeat back in 2019.
Joshua said: “That’s my main focus. Otto Wallin. He gave that man, Tyson Fury a good run for his money, he’s a great fighter, respect to him.
“I’m giving him the ultimate respect – even though he doesn’t deserve it – but I’m giving it to him in my mind.
“Because I want to be the best version and be ready to put myself on the level I need, in order to be victorious.”

Daniel Dubois’ net worth, career earnings and boxing record explained

Daniel ‘Dynamite’ Dubois is a heavyweight champion from London. Here’s what you need to know about Dubois’ net worth — and his boxing record.
Daniel Dubois will be fighting Jarrell Miller during the Day of Reckoning card in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia, on Saturday, 23 December.
What is Daniel Dubois’ net worth?
Some estimate Dubois’ net worth at between $2 million — $5 million.
Dubois earned £1.75 million for another fight when he faced Joyce in 2020.
His career earnings are thought to be in the region of around £5m.
He began earning six-figure sums when he took on Richard Lartey in April 2019.
    Read more on Daniel Dubois
But since facing Joyce, Dubois pulled in a further £1.8m across four fights.
Although he failed to defeat his opponent Usyk in August 2023, Dubois went away with one of his biggest cheques yet: £1.6 million.
It’s not yet been confirmed how much he stands to take away from his fight against Jarrell Miller on the Day of Reckoning undercard, on Saturday, 23 December, 2023.
The anticipated Christmas mega-card will see headliner AJ facing Otto Wallin.

What is Daniel Dubois’s boxing record?
Daniel “Dynamite” Dubois’ boxing record stands as 19–2–0.
He’s had a total of 72 bouts, and has a KO rate of 95%.
Dubois has seen some serious success: he held the World Boxing Association (WBA) heavyweight title from 2022 to August 2023.
He’s also held the British and Commonwealth titles from 2019 to 2020.
His first pro fight was against Marcus Kelly in 2017, which he won by a KO, and his fourth fight won him the WBC Youth heavyweight title.
The former WBA heavyweight champion could have his work cut out as opponent Jarrell Miller will be heading into the Day of Reckoning card fresh from a sixth-round stoppage win vs Australian Lucas Browne.
In a bizarre turn, Miller said of his opponent Dubois:
“I guarantee if we cut his head open his brain will be the size of a shrimp. You know what I mean? The IQ of a walnut.”
Frank Warren, Dubois’ promoter, has described the fight as a “must win” for the London champ.
He said: “There is so much riding on this for Daniel. This is must-win.
“He could have won his last fight but something was just lacking at the end and he needs to address that, and this is the fight to do it.
“Whether it’s self-belief or what, Daniel has to go out there and impose himself against Jarrell and get himself back to the big table.
“Otherwise he has a long road back.”
Dubois said: “I’m ready to go, let out all of that emotion that I’ve built up from the Usyk experience and turn it into a positive.
“Come through this big show with a win.
“I want to punch holes in Jarrell, whatever it takes to win, for me it’s important to win in style and put all of that [Usyk loss] behind me,” he said.
Miller’s career has been marred by doping scandals after a failed drugs test saw a 2019 fixture against AJ cancelled at the last minute.
The match will take place at the Kingdom Arena in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia is the chosen venue for this tasty event and it can host approximately 26,000 roaring fans.
Daniel is one of eleven children fathered by Dave Dubois, a former Camden Market street trader.

Joseph Parker: net worth, career earnings and boxing record explained

HE’S a top New Zealand heavyweight and a family man outside of the ring. Here’s all you need to know about Joseph Parker’s net worth, and his boxing record.
Parker will face Deontay Wilder and Joseph Parker on the Day of Reckoning card on Saturday 23, December in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia.
What is Joseph Parker’s net worth?
Joseph Parker has an estimated net worth north of $5 million, or £3.9 million, thanks to his career in the boxing ring.
But some estimate Parker’s career earnings of more than $20 million, considering he had a $13.1 million payday for his world title fight against Anthony Joshua in 2018, despite not winning.
Parker’s 2018 fixture against Dillian Whyte saw him earn significantly less than his fight against AJ, at around £1 million.
Reports also suggest that Parker went away with £2.5 million after his 2021 fight with Derek Chisora.

But estimates for Parker’s purse on the much-anticipated fight against Deontay Wilder in Saudi Arabia on the Anthony Joshua vs Otto Wallin undercard stand at around $2–3 million, although unconfirmed.
Parker has four daughters to look after, with his long-term partner, Laine Tavita, with whom has been with since he was a teenager.
The heavyweight boxer has Samoan heritage— although born in New Zealand, his mother is from the main Samoan island of Upolu.
What is Joseph Parker’s boxing record?
Joseph Parker’s heavyweight boxing record stands at 33–3–0

He made his debut in 2012 against Dean Garmonsway winning with a TKO.
Parker lost against Dillian Whyte and Anthony Joshua, both by unanimous decision, in 2018, and another loss came in 2022 in a fight with Joe Joyce, by KO.
Parker competed at the Singapore 2010 Youth Olympic Games, winning a silver medal, and at the Delhi 2010 Commonwealth Games, where he placed 5th.
He’s received many awards throughout the course of his career, from New Zealand Pacific Island Sports Emerging Talent Award in 2011, to the Order of Merit of Samoa in 2016, and the 2017 Counties Manukau Sporting Excellence Sportsman of the Year.
Ahead of his fight against Deontay Wilder on Saturday, 23 December 2023, close pal Tyson Fury has given Parker some advice.
Fury, who’s beaten Wilder twice, and drawn once said: “Don’t get hit in the face with one of them big KO right hands. You’ll be alright.
“Avoid the right hand! That’s my tip for Parker.
“What more else can you say? Don’t get hit by the right hand and you’ll win the fight.”

At the top of the bill, AJ — who is looking for a third win in a row after losses to Oleksandr Usyk — is facing Swedish boxer Otto Wallin, who left Tyson Fury needing 47 stitches after their encounter.

But the social media sensation will NOT be the night’s headliner, with women’s boxing legend Amanda Serrano instead at the top of the bill for her homecoming fight.
Paul said: “Fighting for the first time at home in Puerto Rico alongside one of the greatest fighters ever, Amanda Serrano, promises to be the event of a lifetime.
“I’m honoured to be the co-main event on Amanda’s homecoming card, and I could not be more excited to bring this historic event to Puerto Rico as I continue my path to becoming a world champion.

“She is going to sell more tickets in one event than Katie Taylor did in two in Dublin.
“This is going to be the biggest night of boxing the Choliseo has ever seen and the world will be watching.”
The last time Paul did not top the bill was in November 2020 when he knocked out basketballer Nate Robinson, 39, on Mike Tyson’s undercard.

Serrano, 35, looks set to defend her unified WBA, IBF and WBO belts in the 20,000-seat arena in her first bout back in Puerto Rico since 2017.
Paul, 26, meanwhile is coming off his first victory over a recognised boxer in August, 35, who was 10-1-1 before the KO defeat.
The American was beaten by Tommy Fury via split-decision in February but bounced back by beating ex-UFC star Nate Diaz in August.
And Paul has since confirmed his focus will be on rising the traditional ranks as he intends to face seasoned boxers going forward.
He said when asked on his next move: “More boxing prospects, more experience, more time in the ring under the bright lights staying active.
“And if the money fights want to come, I’ve got smoke for them too but right now I’m focussed on being one of the best in the world and creating one of the greatest sports stories in the history of sports.
“Being able to become a world champion from Disney channel, three years ago not even knowing how to throw a jab or what an uppercut was.”

Jarrell Miller bizarrely says Daniel Dubois has ‘brain the size of a shrimp and IQ of a walnut’ ahead of Saudi showdown

JARRELL MILLER bizarrely compared Daniel Dubois’ brain to the size of a shrimp and claimed he has the IQ of a walnut. The serial drugs cheat returns on Saturday night’s super-card in Saudi Arabia against Dubois.

And Miller has not been shy of using his loud mouth to try and provoke his British opponent.
In his latest swipe, he told Queensberry Promotions: “His brain is a shrimp.
“I guarantee if we cut his head open his brain will be the size of a shrimp. You know what I mean? The IQ of a walnut.
“So like I’ve told you before, Big Baby ain’t nothing to play with and I’m gonna attack every part of him. Even the mental part.”

Miller, 35, infamously blew the chance of challenging Anthony Joshua, 34, for the heavyweight titles in 2019 after failing a series of drug tests.
He blamed the failed tests on a tainted supplement and stem cell shots in his elbow.
He then received a contract with Bob Arum’s Top Rank stable but again tested positive for a banned substance.
This time the ex-kickboxer put it down to a SEX PILL and was handed a two-year suspension.

The New Yorker has won his three comeback fights so far, most notably against Lucas Browne, 44, in March.
Dubois, 26, meanwhile was beaten by Oleksandr Usyk, 36, in August after failing to beat the referee’s count.
It was shades of his brutal 2020 loss to Joe Joyce, 38, when he took a knee and loss having been left unable to see.
Miller has used to the defeats to question Dubois’ mental strength – but the Londoner looks to flip the script in Riyadh.
He told Boxing Social: “No, we’ll make him quit. That’s what we’re going to do. We’re going to make him quit.
“Turn it around on him, you know. Show them, you know. Do our job properly and take his ‘0’ away,”

Watch Anthony Joshua’s answer to cheeky teenager as we let fans ask boxing hero their weird and wonderful questions

ANTHONY Joshua has been put through his paces ahead of Saturday’s big fight – by going 12 rounds with the Great British public.Boxing hero AJ, 34, took time out from training for his showdown in Saudi Arabia with Otto Wallin to answer 12 questions from fans – thanks to The Sun.
Anthony Joshua answers questions from the public
Anthony Joshua recognised some familiar faces from his home town
We visited his home town Watford and asked his most devoted fans to ask their hero any question they wanted.
And they came up with some absolute crackers.
There were a couple of tense moments – like when a cheeky lad asked when the 6ft 6in powerhouse would finally ‘man up’ and fight Tyson Fury.
But also some heart-warming questions when he recognised old faces and friends from his childhood on the Meriden Estate.
    read more on AJ
One former neighbour asked if ‘Femi’ – AJ’s childhood nickname – had finally stopped causing trouble around the estate.
Even with the weight of the world on his broad tattooed shoulders, the national treasure smiled as he spotted old pals, and even arranged a drink back at his favourite pub The Badger.

    ALF, 32
Did you used to eat at the fish and chip shop on the Meriden Estate?
AJ: Yeah I did actually.  Donald used to run the fish and chip shop and my sister even used to work in there, so I used to get a lot of free fish and chips.
    Most read in Boxing
I remember back in the day when fish and chips was about 50p, so would go a long way to feed a big family.

    OLIVER, 52
When are you going to become a champion again?
AJ: I am a champion at heart and a champion forever. With or without the belts I remain a champion.

    JIMMY, 18
We met here in Watford once and I am a fan, but when are you going to man up and fight Tyson Fury?
AJ: At the minute he is the reigning champ so the ball is in his court.
As a challenger I will be ready.
I will stay ready and as soon as he is available I will be ready.

    REECE, 23
How much money do you make per fight, that’s what I really want to know? Like how much money do you actually make?
AJ: It depends really, it depends where the fight is happening. Boxing can be lucrative if you are smart at what you do.
Boxing is a business – don’t let anyone ever tell you otherwise.
Boxing can be good if you’re smart.

    SCOTT, 22
AJ what is the best part of Watford and what keeps you coming back?
AJ: Good question, the best part of Watford me is Meriden because it is where I grew up and where I feel comfortable.
Home is where the heart is and that is home.
It’s not for everyone but it is for me.
Meriden, if you’re ever in Watford, pop down there and you’ll be welcomed with open arms.

    JENNY, 62
Femi, how are you doing, still hanging around the Meriden causing havoc? Keep well and try to support Watford football club please.
AJ: I know who she is!
I am still around Meriden but I am not causing as much trouble anymore.
I am more level headed now, more mature.
I don’t really follow football but if I did have a team it would be Watford.

    KATIE, 22, and LIZZIE, 18
When did you know boxing was what you wanted to pursue and when did you know you had gotten good at it?
AJ: I wanted to pursue boxing when I was 18.
I was inspired by Mike Tyson.
I feel like its good to find something that inspires you, as a youth.
You don’t even have to be good at it, at the start, you can make leaps and bounds forwards.
I wanted to progress because I was inspired by the stories of other fighters and I am definitely getting better?
Am I good? I will leave that to you to decide.

    VERONICA, 61
    What’s your favourite meal?
AJ: My favourite meal would probably be pasta bake and then warm brownies and ice cream.

    SAMMY, 17
Do you want to come around my house next Thursday and play Fifa with my mum?
AJ: Well it’s not a bad shout! But I better give it a miss.
You know how it is these days, Fifa always leads to something else and, all of a sudden, my name is all over the papers.
I will steer clear of that, I will stay focused. But your mum is more than welcome to come down the gym.

    ASHLEY, 17
Where do you see yourself in five years, career wise and family wise?
AJ: I am just living for today. I don’t think too far ahead because, who knows what’s around the corner.
You just have to stay focused on the now, because that’s all there is. I am just focused on today.

    MILLIE, 25
    What is your favourite shop?
AJ: I don’t even really go shopping but my favourite place is my little local gym for a quick sauna and steam and a chill.
I like Under Armour, if I was to go shopping it would be Under Armour.

    STEVE, 65
My son Christopher wants to know when you’re buying him a pint because, since you’ve made it big time, he doesn’t see you any more?
AJ: Yeah I know Chris, tell him to get down The Badger and we will have a good catch-up.

He is more than welcome down anytime!
    I hope Chris is well.

I realised I wouldn’t be world champion after sparring session with Tyson Fury, reveals former David Haye opponent

WHEN Mark de Mori sparred Tyson Fury he came to the conclusion that he will NEVER be a world champion. British boxing fans may remember De Mori for welcoming David Haye back to the ring in 2016.

But he he was knocked out in the first round and largely retreated into the heavyweight shadows.
However, he has racked up 11 wins on the bounce and now returns against Filip Hrgovic on Saturday night.
Hrgovic is currently in place to challenge for the IBF belt, set to be contested in Tyson Fury’s title unification with Oleksandr Usyk.
Although De Mori, 41, himself knows fans would not be lining up to see him fight either star should he stun Hrgovic, 31.

He told Boxing Social: “Honestly, I don’t think that, if I caught Hrgovic, that anyone would want to see me fight the winner of Fury-Usyk.
“That’s just being realistic and that is fine, so we would probably do a rematch.”
Haye, 43, was not the only elite champion the honest De Mori shared the ring with.
He sparred Fury, 35, back in the day and it helped him realise that he would not reach the pinnacle of the sport.

De Mori said: “I sparred Fury once and it was during those rounds that I realised that I’d never become a world champion, that’s how much trouble I had landing a punch on him.
“So, if I managed to knock him [Hrgovic] out, I think that it would be a rematch.
“It’s all good fun, there is no expectations on me or my career anymore, so I will walk in there with no weight on my shoulders.”
