Tyson Fury vs Oleksandr Usyk: New date CONFIRMED, UK start time, TV channel, stream, PPV price, undercard for huge fight

TYSON Fury is once again set to fight for the undisputed heavyweight titles against Oleksandr Usyk after postponing the original date. Fury suffered a nasty gash above his right eye in sparring earlier this month and saw his clash with Usyk on February 17 go up in smoke as a result.
Fury and Usyk went head-to-head at a press conference late last year

Usyk revealed he missed the birth of his daughter at the beginning of the year to focus on training camp for Fury, but now he has to refocus on a new date.
Fury holds the WBC title in boxing’s glamour division, while Usyk is in possession of the WBA, WBO, IBF and Ring Magazine straps.
The pair have been on a collision course to fight for 18 months, following Usyk’s rematch win over Anthony Joshua in August 2022.
Fury only just overcame boxing debutant and former UFC heavyweight champion Francis Ngannou last October, as he was knocked down in stunning fashion before going on to win the bout on points.

And Fury’s latest scuffle in sparring with heavyweight Agron Smakici, which saw an 11-stitch cut open up below his eyebrow, will be another confidence booster for Usyk.
The Ukrainian is looking become the first man in history to win undisputed titles at both cruiserweight and heavyweight – and he’s just one win away.
A victory for Fury, on the other hand, would set up an all-British mega-bout with Anthony Joshua, who takes on Ngannou himself on March 8.
    When is Fury vs Usyk?

Fury vs Usyk will now take place on Saturday, May 18 after the original date of February 17 was postponed.
The Gyspy King has three months to recover from his injury, and if there are any more pull-outs this time around, a £7.9million fee will be paid to the opposing fighter.
The fight will take place in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia.
Expect main event ring-walks to get going from around 11pm BST, with the main card likely to start from 6pm BST.

What channel is it on and can it be live streamed?

Fury vs Usyk will be broadcast on THREE channels here in the UK.
You can watch the clash on TNT Sports Box Office, Sky Sports Box Office and on DAZN PPV.
A price for the event has yet to be confirmed.
You can stream the action from the TNT Sports Box Office app, Sky Sports Box Office app, or the DAZN app, all of which are available onto your mobile, tablet and Smart TV.

    Fury vs Usyk full card
It has yet to be confirmed whether the original undercard will go ahead on the new date.
But this is likely to be the scheduled night of fights:

Tyson Fury vs Oleksandr Usyk – undisputed WBC, WBA, WBO and IBF heavyweight titles
Joe Cordina vs Anthony Cacace – IBF super-featherweight title
Jai Opetaia vs Mairis Briedis – vacant IBF cruiserweight title
    Moses Itauma vs Ilja Mezencev
Sergey Kovalev vs Robin Sirwan Safar
    Bakhodir Jalolov vs TBA
    Isaac Lowe vs Hasibullah Ahmadi

    What has been said?
“I just smiled,” Usyk said upon hearing of the postponement news.
“And said ‘OK – I will finish my training and I will do my work stretching my back’.
“Tyson. Hi, my brother. Don’t be afraid. I will not leave you alone.
“I’m still happy – things happen, it’s life,” he said.
“I’m very happy because I now go to Ukraine. I see my two daughters and my wife. I go to my church and pray. A little bit of rest and back to my camp.”
Fury said of the postponement: “I am absolutely devastated after preparing for this fight for so long and being in such superb condition.

“I feel bad for everyone involved in this huge event and I will work diligently towards the rescheduled date once the eye has healed.
“I can only apologise to everyone affected including my own team, Team Usyk, the undercard fighters, partners, and fans as well as our hosts and my friends in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia.” More

Francis Ngannou set to make MMA return with PFL in summer despite Tyson Fury calling for boxing rematch

FRANCIS NGANNOU could have both an MMA return and rematch with Tyson Fury to look forward to. Ngannou last year walked out on the UFC to sign for rivals the Professional Fighters League.

But the PFL permitted his switch to boxing for a crossover clash against Fury in Saudi Arabia.
And Ngannou almost caused the mother of all upsets by scoring a shock knockdown – only to lose a controversial split-decision.
But still, the ex-UFC champion earned himself another blockbuster bout this time against Anthony Joshua on March 8 in Saudi.
PFL CEO Peter Murray has backed Ngannou all the way in the fight – and expects to see him in the cage again by summer time.
    READ MORE IN MMA
Murray told BBC Sport: “We’ll have another event in the second half of the year, this summer likely, and we expect Francis to return to MMA in the PFL Smartcage.
“And we’re very excited for Francis and his upcoming bout against Anthony Joshua.
“I would not rule out Francis Ngannou in this fight, don’t underestimate him.”

The heavyweight division’s first four-belt undisputed decider has since been rescheduled to May 18 in Riaydh.
And Fury was quick to talk down retirement as he named Joshua, 34, and Ngannou, 37, in his future plans.
Tyson Fury and Francis Ngannou shake hands in first meeting since Saudi showdown last year
He said: “I’m hearing talk of people saying that I should retire or I’m gonna retire soon, or whatever. I ain’t retiring anywhere.
“I’ve got two fights with Usyk, for the undisputed twice. Then I’m gonna fight AJ at least once.
“Maybe twice if there’s a rematch, if he wants one after the first battering I give him. And then I’m gonna fight Ngannou again.
“And that’s just to start. So there’s five little fights for you to whet your appetite with. I ain’t going nowhere. Nowhere.
“I’m 35-year-old in the prime of my life.”

But when speaking out in Spain following the rescheduling of his fight with Fury, he refused to show any ill will towards his rival and claimed he loved him even more.
Usyk said: “Of course, more. Why? Because it’s the man who has my fourth belt. It’s the man who helped me become famous a lot.

And Paul has insisted he is just like “every fighter” who wants to reach the pinnacle of the sport – before making perhaps his most outlandish claim yet.
He told Fox Sports Australia: “I’m the best in the world.
“That’s what I believe. And that’s what every fighter who gets to where they want to be believes.
“And you have to believe it before the statistics or rounds of fights put you there.

“I believe all things considered, my natural ability, my talent, my IQ, all of these things, my ability to learn, to adapt, my toughness, preparation, my will power, my team, all of the things behind me, I believe that I am the best fighter in the world.”
Paul, 27, suffered defeat for the first time last February, losing a split-decision to Tommy Fury, 24.
He then bounced back in August to beat ex-UFC star Nate Diaz, 38, on points over ten rounds.
But Paul soon announced a switch in his career path and planned to fight lesser-known but seasoned boxers to build experience.

It started with 10-1-1 Andre August, 35, who he knocked out in round one in December, kickstarting what he claimed is his road to the world title.
Paul now returns on March 2 on the undercard of Amanda Serrano’s Puerto Rico homecoming against 17-2 Ryan Bourland.
Jake Paul performs gruelling ab workout as he prepares for ring return
And his masterplan is to hold a world title by the age of 30, but business parter Nakisa Bidarian warned it could come as early as next year.
And Bidarian compared Paul’s trajectory to former IBF cruiserweight champion Jai Opetaia, 28.
He said: “Jake’s goal is to be world champion by the time he’s 30. He’s just turned 27. So it could be 28 or 29 years old.
“I think Jai has 55 fights between amateur and pro. Jake though, after this fight is ten fights in.
“But if you look at where Jai was ten fights in compared to where Jake is, when you see those two paths merging, Jake is going to surpass anyone performing well in the cruiserweight division currently.” More

Devin Haney and Ryan Garcia agree deal for mega-fight in SEVENTH bout between rivals as date and location is revealed

And according to ESPN, they have finalized terms to renew their rivalry on April 20 in Las Vegas.
Haney formerly held the undisputed lightweight titles at 135 pounds before making his move to super-lightweight.
And he won his first piece of gold at 140 pounds in December by beating Regis Prograis, 35, over 12 dominant rounds.
Haney, 25, is set to put his title on the line against Garcia, also 25, who will challenge for his first world honor.

Garcia – who has over 10 million Instagram followers – fought twice last year.
In April, he was stopped in seven rounds by long-time rival Gervonta Davis, 29, in a blockbuster believed to have sold 1.2 million pay-per-views.
Garcia bounced back from his first loss by taking out Oscar Duarte, 28, in eight rounds of his comeback bout.
He called out former sparring rival and WBA champion Rolando Romero after the win.

But as talks stalled, Garcia turned his attention to Haney until linking up with boxing legend Floyd Mayweather.
Garcia admitted Mayweather convinced him to instead target Romero again, sparking confusion among the camps.
But Romero, 29, instead signed to face Isaac Cruz, 25, on March March 30 to kick off Amazon’s Prime’s debut in PPV boxing.
So Garcia went full circle and negotiations were again picked up with Haney – with an announcement now imminent.
