GARY NEVILLE’S efforts in the battle against coronavirus have even won him praise from a Manchester City fan!
Danny Brough told the Manchester United hero that his NHS worker mum was allowed to stay at one of Neville’s hotels in between her shifts in the hospital.

And fans lauded the ex-England international, who has become a leading voice in attempting to tackle the pandemic.
Last week, he announced plans to shut his Hotel Football and Stock Exchange venues to the public and make all 176 beds available to NHS workers for free.
On Tuesday morning, Danny tweeted: “Want to say thank you to Gary Neville who has put my mum up in a hotel so she can safely continue to work at the hospital and help with things.”
The latest figures stated that 146 of the UK’s 6,650 confirmed coronavirus cases were in Greater Manchester with the city suffering from 12 fatalities.
With a nationwide lockdown coming into force on Tuesday, renewed efforts to support healthcare staff are being applauded.
Twitter user Gareth commented on Danny’s tweet: “Your Mum’s an angel.”
Another added: “Good on your mum and Gary.”
While one United fan wrote: “Your Mum is a gift, mate.”

Neville’s pledge to open his hotels to vital care staff came around the same time as a similar commitment by the Millenium Hotel at Chelsea’s Stamford Bridge.
The 45-year-old stated: “It is in this moment in time that I think the whole of our industry needs to show solidarity not just for our staff in these uncertain times, but for the people who need the accommodation most in the coming months.
“It is something we are delighted to have come to an agreement with. It will be free of charge our staff will operate the hotels as normal.
“And the health workers will be allowed to stay there without any cost whatsoever in these next few months when they need isolation away from family members who may be affected by what’s going on.

“It’s obviously very difficult times and we hope we can grow out of this stronger as a hotel business beyond what is happening. But for the time being, stay safe and I wish everybody all the best.”
Along with Neville, who has called upon Premier League football’s wealthiest to do more for their local communities, business partner and fellow United icon Ryan Giggs is working to provide beds for NHS.
Giggs told the BBC on Monday: “We have about 20 NHS staff at Hotel Football and 15 at Stock Exchange but we expect both of them to be full in the next week or ten days.
“They stay for around ten days and then have their turnover. Free of charge, we are doing our best.”
