James Milner trims lawn with scissors and a ruler as Liverpool star lives up to ‘boring’ alter-ego in coronavirus crisis

JAMES MILNER showed fans what a pain in the grass cutting the lawn can be as he hilariously played up to his ‘Boring James Milner’ tag once again.

The Liverpool star and his teammates have been training alone because of the coronavirus outbreak and the 34-year-old lightened the mood by filming himself cutting his lawn with scissors and a ruler.

Englishman Milner famously plays up to his ‘boring’ alter-ego on social media – and he was at it again with the Premier League on lockdown.

A close up shot shows Milner using a pair of pink children’s scissors and a pink ruler to cut individual blades of grass before he looks up and smiles into the camera.

He posted the video on social media alongside the caption: “Now the tea bags are sorted I’ve got time to level out this lawn…

“Wonder if I can borrow Anfield’s Keep off the Grass sign. #onebladeatatime #productiveday #snipsnip.”

Earlier in the week, Milner had “barrels of laughs” when he posted another video showing him rationing tea bags for the week.

While team-mate Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain danced around the house with girlfriend and Little Mix star Perrie Edwards, Milner had a different self-isolation strategy.

The former Manchester City midfielder shared a video of himself sitting at his kitchen table “rationing” teabags.

But not just any teabags… he had his own personalised “Milner’s Tea” bags from Yorkshire Tea.

Taking to Twitter, Milner shared his video in response to team-mate Oxlade-Chamberlain with the caption: “Hey @Alex_OxChambo.

“Barrels of laughs here in the Milner household as well – rationing the tea bags for the week.”

He completed the tweet with two thumbs-up emojis and the hashtags: “#crazydays #somuchtogetonwith #notgotthemovestocompete”.

Liverpool stars – along with most of the Premier League – have been told to train alone this week in a bid to contain the spread of coronavirus.
