THE McLaren team member who tested positive for coronavirus at the Australian GP is “recovering well”.
The staff member was tested on Wednesday after showing symptoms of Covid-19 with the results coming through a day later.

The Woking-based team immediately placed him into self-isolation while they took the decision to withdraw from the race – which was later cancelled in shambolic circumstances.
Their actions triggered the cancellation of Sunday’s race, despite some teams’ wish to race on.
The team member is among 14 others who are being kept in Melbourne as a precaution along with racing director Andreas Stella, who volunteered to remain with them.
Staff who travelled to Melbourne have also been told to stay away from the factory for a fortnight as a precaution.
McLaren Racing boss Zak Brown said pulling out of the race was a no-brainer for his team.
He said: “As a racer, [it was] the hardest decision I’ve had to take, but as CEO it was the easiest.
“We knew what our options were in the event of various outcomes.”
Brown added: “[Team principal] Andreas [Seidl] and I had already agreed that if we had a positive test in the garage, there was only one option.”
