UEFA are in talks to suspend the Champions League, Europa League and Euro 2020 due to coronavirus fears.

The two biggest club football tournaments have been thrown into turmoil as the deadly bug has started to affect a number of teams involved.

Also on the table is this summer’s Euro 2020 tournament, with Wembley due to host the semi-finals and final.

Juventus’ squad have gone into quarantine after Daniele Rugani tested positive for the deadly bug.

Cristiano Ronaldo has told Juve he will not be returning from Madeira during the outbreak.

And three Premier League stars will be tested today after showing symptoms of the virus.

Authorities have tried to stop the spread of coronavirus by playing the last-16 Champions League fixtures behind closed doors.

But Uefa chiefs are reviewing whether to postpone both of the tournament’s until further notice due to the outbreak.

Manchester City and Chelsea are the only English teams left in the Champions League after Liverpool and Spurs crashed out this week.

Pep Guardiola’s side have the upper hand heading into the clash against Real Madrid after they won the first leg 2-1.

But the game will not go ahead as planned because Zinedine Zidane’s squad have been put in quarantine and their training ground is on lockdown.

It’s suggested the competition could be put back a year to allow Uefa to complete the Champions League and Europa Leagues over the summer.

With the 2022 World Cup not until the winter, switching the tournament to 2021 is made more feasible.
