Sheff Utd have £11m transfer bid rejected for Liverpool, Man Utd and Everton target Ugurcan Cakir

SHEFFIELD UNITED have seen a £11million bid rejected for highly-rated Trabzonspor keeper Ugurcan Cakir, according to reports.

Cakir, 23, has attracted the interest of numerous Premier League clubs including Liverpool and Manchester United.

Everton and Southampton are also showing an interest but it is Sheffield United who have made the first move, according to Fotosport.

The Blades are looking for a new keeper with loanee Dean Henderson set to return to Manchester United at the end of the season.

It is claimed that Chris Wilder’s side have launched an £11m offer which has been firmly rejected.

Sheffield United want to keep Henderson for at least another season but remain in the dark over Ole Gunnar Solskjaer’s plans for the talent.

Henderson, 22, is unlikely to be happy playing second fiddle to David De Gea at Old Trafford following his form in the Premier League this season.

Previous reports of Liverpool having submitted a £13m bid for Cakir were later said to be untrue, according to sources close to the club.

Jurgen Klopp’s side had a minor goalkeeping crisis earlier this campaign when both Alisson and Adrian picked up injuries.

Alisson was ruled out for four to six weeks earlier in the campaign but Adrian has proved adequate cover between the sticks.

Cakir has been in impressive form since his emergence for Trabzonspor in 2018, earning him the name of one of the most highly rated keepers in Turkey.

He made his national team debut last season and has helped take Trabzonspor to the top of the Turkish Super Lig this season.

United boss Jose Mourinho is expected to send a club official to Turkey for Trabzonspor striker Alexander Sorloth and Cakir, according to Fotomac.
