Serge Gnabry says ‘London still Red’ as ex-Arsenal star destroys Chelsea to make it SIX goals in capital this season

SERGE GNABRY smashed a double past Chelsea to make it SIX Champions League goals in London this season.

And the ex-Arsenal forward then goaded Blues fans by writing “London still Red” on Twitter.

Gnabry, 24 – who quit the Gunners for Bayern Munich in 2017 – also smashed FOUR past Spurs in a 7-2 home drubbing during the group stage in October.

Robert Lewandowski poked past helpless Willy Caballero to make it 3-0 at Stamford Bridge and subject Frank Lampard’s Blues to their worst-ever home defeat in Europe.

Speaking after the game Gnabry said: “I always enjoy coming back here to London – I have a lot of friends here.

“We knew we had to be patient. We had the game under control, knowing we’d get our chances and in the end we took them.

“But last year Liverpool beating Barcelona after 3-0, we need to be careful.”

Fans online heaped praise on the ex-Gunner – who was once told he was not good enough to play for West Brom – and claimed he “runs London”.

One said: “Serge Gnabry is a world class player. Arsenal must be regretting why they sold him.”

Another said: “Serge Gnabry runs London and there’s nothing you can do about it.”

Former West Brom manager Tony Pulis handed Gnabry just 12 minutes of league action during his time in the dugout at the Hawthorns.

Pulis loaned the winger from Arsenal in the summer of 2015 but sent him back after just six months.

But Gnabry is proving his worth with two European goals in London for every two minutes of Prem football he played at West Brom.

The 24-year-old is also shining back home, with 10 Bundesliga goals in 21 appearances with Bayern leading the table by a point.

Gnabry is the fifth opposition player to score more than two goals in a Champions League game at Stamford Bridge.

He is only the second to do so in the knock-out stages, following Ronaldinho’s double in March 2005 when Chelsea beat Barcelona 4-2.
