CHELSEA are already staring at a Champions League exit just halfway through their tie with Bayern Munich.
A delightful double for ex-Arsenal forward Serge Gnabry and two assists and a goal for Robert Lewandowski meant the German champions left Stamford Bridge as 3-0 winners.

Bayern looked a class above the Blues and individual performances were the difference in the capital.
Here Gary Stonehouse rates Chelsea’s players.
Willy Caballero – 6
Was twice called into action in the first half and reacted well to race out and save from Lewandowski.
But the veteran was powerless to stop any of the goals and Lampard has no cause to axe him and bring back Kepa just at the moment.
Cesar Azpilicueta – 4
A game too far in Europe for one of Chelsea’s old guard. Lack of pace brutally exposed for the first two goals and was eventually put out of his misery by Lampard.
A superb servant for the Blues, but it looks like he won’t have many more nights to perform on a stage as big as this.
Andreas Christensen – 5
Sold himself for the third goal by diving in and being left for dust.
Not a great performance from him or his defensive colleagues.

Antonio Rudiger – 5
For a man who is supposed to lead the Chelsea defence he was largely anonymous.
Was part of a back three that struggled to contain Bayern all night.
Reece James – 5
Spent the majority of the game on the back foot with little chance to get forward.
Was roasted for Bayern’s third by the sheer pace of Alphonso Davies.
Jorginho – 5
Started well and worked tirelessly as he and his team-mates chased shadows at times but let himself down big time in the second period.
Got himself booked for dissent moments before the deadlock was broken, ruling himself out of the return leg.

Mateo Kovacic – 5
Like his midfield partner was often chasing shadows in the opening 45.
Did find Mount with a few passes but boy do Chelsea miss N’Golo Kante.
Marcos Alonso – 4
Poor night for the full-back ended with an early bath after he was given his marching orders for serious foul play after appearing to elbow Lewandowski.
Was caught out of position several times in the first half with Bayern appearing to be targeting him and although he twice came close up the other end, this is a game he’ll want to forget in a hurry.
Ross Barkley – 4
Once again flattered to deceive on the big stage for Chelsea and almost gifted Bayern a goal in the first half with a sloppy pass on the edge of his own area.
Struggled to make any impact and it came as no surprise to see him hooked on the hour mark.

Mason Mount – 6
Was Chelsea’s only threat throughout and his pace was always going to cause concerns for the Bayern defence. Had two chances and was off target with both in the first, and blazed high and wide from the edge of area in the second when he’ll have expected better.
But Lampard will have no worries that tonight’s tough test is just another step on the starlet’s rise to the top.
Olivier Giroud – 6
Felt sorry for the frontman as he was often a spectator.
Did win a couple of aerial duels but the Blues failed to get him as involved as they’d have wanted before he was replaced by Tammy Abraham.

Tammy Abraham – 4
Struggled to make an impact and should have reacted better to Pedro’s cross near the end to give his side some hope but failed to anticipate the low drive going saint through across goal when he could’ve had a tap in if better positioned.
Willian – 6
Provided more of a threat in his late cameo than Barkley had all game.
Pedro – 5
Arrived into the action late but did well to beat his marker and whip in a low cross that just needed someone to tap in.
