Arsenal are still without summer signing Kieran Tierney, who has missed the last 11 league games through a shoulder injury.

Kolasinac has also suffered fitness problems this season, despite making 16 starts in all competitions.

It has forced winger Saka to slot in at full-back, impressing in 25 appearances for the first-team.

Saka came on to the pitch after Kolasinac was slammed online for recklessly playing Everton onside for the Toffees’ opening goal.

The visitors had a free-kick on the right hand side and as Arsenal set up their offside trap defender Yerry Mina managed to force Kolasinac into his own box, playing everyone onside.

The ball was lofted in and striker Dominic Calvert-Lewin profited to latch on to a loose ball and finish with a stunning overhead kick to open the scoring.

Fans blasted Kolasinac for his decision, with one saying he “lacks a football brain”.

A fellow Arsenal supporter said: “I do not want to see Kolasinac play for Arsenal ever again. Useless guy.”
