If the 6ft 9in Brit gets the victory he will become only the second heavyweight since Muhammad Ali to win it twice.

Fury claims his linear accolade – as the man-who-beat-the-man when he dethroned Wladimir Klitschko in 2015 – is the most important honour to fight for and defend since it was formed in 1885.

Anthony Joshua holds the WBA, IBF and WBO titles, as well as the marginalised IBO belt that is not considered a major honour.

Should the winner of Wilder Fury 2 face AJ next, they would be fighting for every marble available.

“Being that I have knocked all of my sparring partners out cold then yeah, I am definitely looking like a beast

Yet inevitably the build-up is laced with uncertainty over Fury.

The Brit denied being overweight, although trainer Javan ‘Sugarhill’ Steward – who replaced Ben Davison – says it would be impossible foir Fury to be in perfect fitness.

Promotr Eddie Hearn and ex-heavyweight champ David Haye tipped the Bronze Bomber to win, partly after hearing his rival has problems in his training camp.

And Sugarhill told BehindTheGloves: “Whatever Eddie says is true.

“I don’t wanna argue with Eddie Hearn or anybody that’s saying that Tyson’s injured and stuff like that.

“With Tyson, he could be [injured], could be or maybe not. Nobody comes into a fight 100 per cent. So that’s just being honest.”

Fury himself was even more dismissive – saying he was a “Beast” who had KO’d all his training partners “cold”.

He told BoxingScene: “I couldn’t have done anything more. I am feeling ready to go. I have not left any stones unturned.

“Every box has been ticked and I have finished the training and all that has to be done.

“Well, being that I have knocked all of my sparring partners out cold then yeah, I am definitely looking like a beast.”
