Tyson Fury’s daughter in tears while watching him suffer horror cut which required 47 stitches against Wallin

FOOTAGE has emerged of Tyson Fury’s children having to be comforted while watching their dad’s gruesome fight with Otto Wallin back in September.

The 6ft 9in fighter suffered a heavy blow to his right eye, eventually requiring 47 stitches to seal the two inch gash.

And in the new documentary, “Tyson Fury: The Gypsy King”, eldest daughter Venezuela and son Prince Adonis can be seen being comforted by their grandma Lynda back in the UK.

The scene cuts between the ring itself, Fury’s brother Shane and wife Paris ringside, the TV studio, and two of his children watching with their grandma at home.

As the extent of Fury’s cut begins to dawn on the viewers, a look of horror can be seen spreading across the faces of his family members back in Britain.

Lynda cries: “Oh my God,” while Venezuela’s eyes are strewn with tears.

And Prince Adonis swiftly has his eyes covered by his grandma, who doesn’t want the little boy to see his dad covered in blood.

Shane and the TV pundits look concerned, while Paris offers a rallying cry of “Come on Tyson!”

The cut left Fury struggling to see out of his right eye, but he rallied impressively to grind out the victory on points, having seen his undefeated status genuinely under threat.

The “Gypsy King” was unable to fulfil his media duties after the fight, as he was rushed to hospital in an ambulance to have the laceration properly seen to.

The 31-year-old has since hired famous cut man Jacob “Stitch” Duran to ensure that the cut doesn’t provide any problems against Deontay Wilder on Saturday night.

Duran said: “Tyson has had a mesh web inserted into his soft tissue where the cut is in order to strengthen it.

“Whenever you put a web on something it’s only going to give it that additional support. But when I first met with Tyson, we went over the cuts and I saw immediately that the surgeon that did the work did a tremendous job.

“Technology is reaching a point where it’s getting better and better.

“The advantages is you protect it while also having the natural healing. I would think that the tissue is going to grow into the webbing, so now you now have an extra layer which will all mesh into one.

“The cut hasn’t affected Tyson’s sparring at all. The first time I started to put Vaseline on him, he said nobody had put it on like that before as his brother used to do it – so that was an honour to me.

“But you want to protect all the area, not just the cut. You just want to protect his whole face at all times.”

If Wilder is to re-open the cut on his way to victory, Wallin has joked that he will be due a cut of his prize money.

The 29-year-old told Sky Sports: “It’s very hard to analyse, especially when you have a big puncher like Wilder in there.

“I do think, though, that Fury has more tools to work with and that he’ll be able to adapt better for a rematch.

“I know if Wilder opens up that cut and wins the fight he needs to give me a cut of his purse!”
