RB LEIPZIG have mocked Tottenham ahead of their Champions League crunch.
The Germans lit the fuse for next week’s last 16 first leg in London by joking leading scorer Timo Werner will be joining Spurs this summer.

The frontman, 23, is one of the most sought-after strikers in Europe after scoring 25 goals in 30 appearances so far this season, with both Liverpool and Chelsea believed to be preparing bids for him.
Leipzig responded to reports in Germany Werner will join the Kop this summer by taking a tongue-in-cheek pop at Spurs on Twitter.
The Bundesliga club posted on their official account: “We heared he is headed towards #Tottenham though…”
Spurs refused to comment on the tweet but the dig at their failure to sign a striker has not gone down well at the North London club.
Tottenham insiders hope it will fire up manager Jose Mourinho and his stars even more for their Euro tie against the Germans.
The clubs meet in the Champions League round of 16, with the first leg taking place in North London next week.
And boss Jose Mourinho was spotted in the crowd at the Allianz Arena as he scouted RB Leipzig during their Bundesliga clash with Bayern Munich.

Leipzig, meanwhile, fear that they will lose Werner to the Premier League after he recently told German football magazine Kicker: “I can generally imagine playing abroad one day, although I don’t have any specific club where I want to be.
“I am open for everything. I was in America for a holiday recently and English football was on all the time.
“That’s an exclamation mark for the Premier League. But there are also big, famous clubs and it would certainly be fun playing there.”
