FOR the last few days, warehouse nightshift worker Jamal Farid became one of the most talked-about footballers in Britain.
That is because the Hackney Wick full-back went viral after nutmegging 2007 Ballon d’Or winner Kaka during a six-a-side clash in East London.

Brazil legend Kaka stunned players when he put his Champions League and World Cup winners medal behind him to play an amateur match in Hackney as part of an adidas promotional campaign.
Having run rings around the world’s best throughout his career, it was Kaka’s turn to be left red-faced when 24-year-old Farid pulled off a sensational piece of skill.
As Kaka went in for a challenge, Farid showed remarkable composure to stick it through his legs.
The former Real Madrid and AC Milan superstar was left in disbelief and after congratulating Farid, went and scored a screamer with his left foot.
Speaking to SunSport, Farid said: “It’s been a whirlwind last few days. I’m still pinching myself.
“I didn’t know what it was like to go viral – I keep watching the video on social media and I can’t believe it happened.
“It wasn’t a fluke, I tried to do a nutmeg and it came off so I definitely meant it.
“To be fair, after I megged him that’s when he decided to turn it on so I was the culprit on that one.”
When asked whether he couldn’t resist shouting ‘megged!’ after, he laughed and added: “Nah, I couldn’t do that to Kaka, man.”
Farid, who was mobbed by his team-mates after returning to training on Monday, was rewarded by receiving the pair of boots he wore during the match.
Farid added: “I did an ITV interview and someone from adidas came over and gave me his boots. They’re going to be put in a glass box and never be touched again.

“My world has done a complete 180 degrees.
“No one would believe me if I didn’t have the video, I know that for a fact – I wouldn’t believe anyone who would tell me that.
“My favourite moment was the hug from him, it was such a cool moment. You haven’t got to remind me he’s a Ballon d’Or winner.”
