CELTIC boss Neil Lennon appeared to say ‘f*** off’ as Mikey Johnston walked off injured against St Johnstone tonight.
The Hoops star was brought off the bench for Leigh Griffiths late into the second half.
Celtic boss Neil Lennon was visibly upset after Mikey Johnston went off
The boss appeared to say ‘f*** off’ as Johnston walked by with the physio
The winger had to come off after picking up a knock
The talented attacker hadn’t been on the field for long before injuring himself after a foul on St Johnstone’s David Wotherspoon.
The Scotland U21 international immediately looked to be struggling after the knock and Neil Lennon could visibly be seen in conversation with Johnston before he made his last sub.
The youngster must’ve told Lenny he was fine to continue and so star striker Odsonne Edouard came off for newboy Patryk Klimala.
And minutes later Johnston pulled up again.
He was forced to come off with the knee injury and when walking towards the Celts bench Lennon made his feelings clear.
BT Sport footage shows the gaffer saying ‘f*** off’ as the wideman made his way to the McDiarmid Park tunnel.
It’s not clear whether he aimed this at Johnston or the physio, or whether he was just letting out some frustration.
The Bhoys were forced to play the remainder of the victory with ten men.
