DEVANTE COLE, son of Manchester United legend Andy, has joined Doncaster Rovers.
The striker, 24, had been on loan at Motherwell from parent club Wigan during the first-half of the season.
Devante Cole, son of Andy, has joined Doncaster from Wigan
Cole joined the Latics from Fleetwood in 2018, but failed to cut it at the DW Stadium.
The former Manchester City star failed to score in just seven appearances off the bench for the Championship side.
But Cole will get a fresh start now, after linking up with League One side Doncaster on a permanent deal until the end of the season.
Cole started his career in Man City’s youth ranks, joining in 2003.
However, after a decade in the youth ranks, the forward failed to break into the first-team and was loaned out to Barnsley and MK Dons in 2014-15.
He eventually signed for Bradford on a permanent deal, where he scored five times in 19 League One matches.
Three years at Fleetwood followed, where he scored 17 times in 77 league run-outs, bagging a move to Wigan.
He played six times in their promotion campaign of 2017-18, failing to score – and has never played in the Championship.
Cole has been loaned to Burton (two goals in 13 games) and Motherwell (four goals in 19 games) but will now leave the DW Stadium for good.
He joins a Doncaster side who sit tenth in League One, just four points off the play-off spots.
