The FA charged the club with failing to “conduct themselves in an orderly fashion” earlier this week.
But now the club have now been hit with a £20,000 fine.
The row was kick-started after Van Dijk clashed with De Gea in the build-up to a Roberto Firmino goal – later ruled out following a VAR review.
De Gea was one of many Man Utd stars to flock to Pawson and get right up in his face, shouting and gesturing wildly.
The Spanish stopper was booked for rowing with the match official.
On the fine, an FA statement read: “Manchester United FC has been fined £20,000 after admitting a breach of FA Rule E20 and accepting the standard penalty.
“The club failed to ensure its players conducted themselves in an orderly fashion during the 26th minute of a Premier League fixture against Liverpool FC on 19 January 2020.”
United lost the game 2-0 as the Reds extended their lead atop the Premier League table to 16 points.

Following the charge, boss Ole Gunnar Solskjaer remained tight-lipped, despite claiming it was an obvious foul.
The Red Devils boss said: “Maybe I shouldn’t talk too much about [the charge]. Let’s get that decision done.
“The goal – it’s overturned. I reacted myself because everybody could see it was a foul.”
