JAVIER HERNANDEZ is reportedly close to signing a deal with LA Galaxy that will see him become MLS’s highest-paid player.
Galaxy are looking for a marquee striker after Zlatan Ibrahimovic headed back to AC Milan this month.

According to SI.com, the Los Angeles side have agreed a deal with Seville for ex-Manchester United forward Hernandez.
Galaxy boss Dennis te Kloese already admitted he was interested in the 31-year-old.
Kloese told Marca: “We are going to try seriously to sign him, it would be a good deal for us.”
Having previously mentioned his desire to play in the MLS, the 5ft 7in Mexican was to in “advanced negotiations” after meeting with a representative of Galaxy on Monday to discuss an offer over the potential move.
It is understood Sevilla want £8million for Hernandez – whose wife sent fans wild with a topless Instagram picture.
Galaxy would have to smash their club record £5m they paid Villareal for Giovani dos Santos in 2015.
Despite having a good relationship with his manager Julen Lopetegui, the forward has been struggling for games at Sevilla, having made just 14 appearances in all competitions.
Hernandez won the Premier League twice with United and is Mexico’s all-time leading scorer with 52 goals.
Galaxy boss Kloese previously worked with Hernandez while he was director of Mexico’s national teams and at Chivas in the early 2000s.
