Man Utd star Tahith Chong’s agent pictured meeting at Inter Milan with 20-year-old forward’s contract up in summer

MANCHESTER UNITED star Tahith Chong’s agent has been pictured meeting with Inter Milan officials ahead of a potential free transfer this summer.

Italian journalist Fabrizio Romano shared a snap of the 20-year-old star’s representative at the offices of the Serie A giants.

Along with the snap, Romano wrote: “Inter just met in Milan with the agent of Tahith Chong.

“He’ll be free agent on next June and has been offered to the Italian club. Many teams interested in him.”

Chong has also been on the radar of Juventus in a £35,000-a-week deal – but Inter Milan may have beaten them to the punch.

Ole Gunnar Solskjaer is said to still be mulling over whether to offer the youngster a new contract.

Chong and his representatives are due to sit down with United in the next two weeks to thrash out terms.

Earlier this month, a Man Utd source said: “The club hasn’t given up hope. Tahith knows how highly we rate him.

“Juventus are apparently pushing quite hard, so it must be quite a difficult time for him.

“United have consistently shown that young players here don’t need to chase the money elsewhere.”

But it now appears more and more likely the Holland Under-21s star will be heading to Italy on a free transfer in the summer after his agent was seen at Inter.

Chong has been at United since 2016, when he joined from Feyenoord – but has managed just four Premier League appearances despite his obvious potential.

The versatile attacker has played seven times this season, but all but two of those have been in cup competitions.
