BARCELONA have made Mauricio Pochettino their top managerial target – despite the ex-Spurs boss vowing NEVER to work for them.
The Nou Camp side are desperately searching for someone to replace the under-fire Ernesto Valverde.

Incredibly, club legend Xavi said no to going back to the club in the middle of the season – but said he would be interested in the summer.
Reports in Spain said former Everton boss Ronald Koeman was also approached over replacing Valverde.
But the current manager of the Dutch national team said no.
Reports claimed Koeman does have a release clause written into his contract with Holland but it can only be activated after this summer’s Euros.
The double rebuff means Barcelona have turned their attention to 47-year-old Poch, who was sacked by Spurs in November and replaced by Jose Mourinho.
But the Argentinian’s past comments on taking charge of Barcelona indicate there is absolutely no chance of that ever happening.
Pochettino, who used to play for Espanyol, Barca’s local rivals, said two years ago: “I’m an Espanyol supporter. I don’t need to speak too much.
“In football, it’s hard to keep loyal with your heart and emotion but I believe that before being a manager or a player, you should be loyal.
“I’m an Espanyol fan. I love Espanyol.
“I would prefer to work on my farm in Argentina than to go and work in certain places.”
Thierry Henry – who saw his record for most goals scored in the Prem by a foreigner smashed by Sergio Aguero – and Roberto Martinez were reportedly also sounded out about the job.
Valverde’s deal expires at the end of the season but he could be let go before that if results do not improve.
The Catalans have won just one of their last five games and, despite remaining top of La Liga on goal difference, have let their lead over bitter rivals Real Madrid slip.
